  1. The NFL needs to focus on player safety, the fine was not big enough IMO. 100k? That's it? The future of the game depends on protecting the players as much as possible, not to mention protecting the players is the right thing to do. Nobody wants to see players struggling with dementia and remembering their own names when they're 50. It's a violent game but the NFL clearly doesn't give a **** about player safety. You look at what happened with Gronk, a 1 game suspension? Not to mention the lengthy list of players that we're only suspended for 1 game after deliberate cheap shots. The NFL doesn't give a rats ass about it's employees.
  2. Some of those throws are retarded. You don't see too many successful 6'6+ QBs though. Seems like the ideal range is 6'2-6'5. Why that is? I don't know. Could be the next Flacco or the next Mike Glennon.
  3. It's between Rudolph and Allen for me personally, I think Rudolph has the lower floor but Allen has the higher ceiling.
  4. Pocket QB, takes care of the football, has had a pretty respectable career in Kansas City. Worked with Andy Reid who I admire as a coach. Why not?
  5. I knew Kirk Cousins was going to be good coming out of college but I don't think he is worth what he'll get. My concern is paying top 5 money to a guy that can't carry a franchise on his back. Alex Smith to a 2-3 year deal and Rudolph or Allen on the bench would make our QB situation better than it's ever been since Kelly/Reich.
  6. I like him. I'd prefer Rudolph but Allen shows flashes of Big Ben, a comparison I made a week before this article was posted. I think between Rudolph and Allen, if given the opportunity would solve our QB issue for the next 10 years. This is a great year to take a QB, I'd be thoroughly disappointed if we passed on Rudolph or Allen.
  7. I'm not anti-Mayfield, I'm just not sure if I would go for him in the first. If he was there in the second? I'd be interested quite possibly but a lot can change between now and the draft, maybe he rises, maybe he falls.
  8. I'm with you on Darnold, Rosen, Jackson and Mayfield. We will have to disagree on Rudolph, I will state for the record that I am also a fan of Josh Allen but when I say I don't like Mayfield and Jackson, I mean that I don't want them in the first, I would roll the dice on them in round 2.
  9. Think Rudolph is a lot better than you give him credit for. His arm is better than Jackson's and Mayfield's but you don't hear anybody criticizing them. Rosen and Darnold aren't any more mobile than Rudolph. Granted, you see Darnold and Rosen make throws into tight windows and you wonder how the hell some of these throws are humanly possible but I have seen Rudolph make throws where you just wonder how the hell he fit that in there, albeit not with the same consistency as Darnold and Rosen but enough to where I think Rudolph can be developed.
  10. Well, you'd clearly have to evaluate his potential as a passer. Under the right tutelage, perhaps he could be developed into one. Depends on the coaches and if they think he could progress into an NFL QB. Deshaun Watson lit the NFL up, he was obviously a better passer than once thought and may evolve into a dual threat. Could Jackson do the same? No fan knows that, only the coaches and GMs do.
  11. That's fair, I only included him for arguments sake. I do think he'll be better than Tyrod and Peterman though but he is probably not what we're looking for.
  12. Sorry, but the top 6 guys, every single one of them is better than Tyrod and Peterman. Got to take a shot at one of them, I love Rudolph, that's my guy but if he is gone I wouldn't hesitate to draft another. That's just my opinion. Do you really think one of the top guys can beat 5 INTs in one half? And even if you want to make a case for Tyrod, there's a really good chance he gets cut or traded so we are left with Peterman. So yeah, I'll take my chances on one of the top 6.
  13. Well, it's not like I was exactly setting the bar high, was I?
  14. I said this before and I was ridiculed mercilessly but you my friend are absolutely right. Playoff teams consistently pick at the bottom of each round, yet they always seem to hit on picks and load up on talent. To the OP, had we finished 6-10 you would be talking about even more positions that need to be filled and we would be even further away from the playoffs. The truth is, we would have needed to finish with 2 wins or less to secure Darnold or Rosen and we would likely be no better off. Truth is, we have two 1st rounds, if we want the third best QB prospect, we can make that happen so in reality we're in the same exact position except now we have some hope to build off of.
  15. Exactly my thoughts completely. No first round QB in a draft where there's a good 5-6 prospects that could upgrade us immediately is a huge miss for me. Even Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson who I'm skeptical of, I'd still take one because they cannot be any worse than what we have.
  16. He didn't want to be here, what can you say? Tre on the other hand seems to love being a Bill and is a leader and a team player. Gilmore was never a leader, even in New England he is not a leader, just a heartless mercenary that only cares about cashing in.
  17. Lamar Jackson is Vick with half the arm talent, he sees ghosts and most of his big plays are when he runs the ball himself. Mayfield I think is a system guy, solid arm but Rudolph and Allen have twice the arm. Just my perspective, doesn't make me right, doesn't make me wrong, just my opinion. Ideally we target Mason Rudolph, I'm hoping some of the other prospects bump him down to us.
  18. I think at least 4 in the first round and at least another 2 at the top of the second round. I think Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson slide into the 33-40 range. Rosen and Darnold top 5 and Rudolph and Allen 10-20s. This is the year to take a QB, everyone here knows I like Josh Allen but the more and more I get to watch Mason Rudolph, the more I want him. He is a legitimate first round prospect, I think Rudolph could be a franchise QB. I wouldn't mind Allen either but I think if both are on the board, I take Rudolph. I'd rate the board like this: 1.) Josh Rosen 2.) Sam Darnold 3.) Mason Rudolph 4.) Josh Allen 5.) Baker Mayfield 6.) Lamar Jackson I'm going to see if I can find some more full games to watch on YouTube. It's still really early, my board may change from now up to the draft but once again Mason Rudolph has rocketed up my board. This is the year to draft a QB. I'd gamble on any of my top 4, it would be wise to trade up.
  19. This is how I see it, Josh Rosen is going to be very good, we have no shot at him and this may be unpopular to say but I think Darnold has a really high bust rate. I think he needs to go back to school, if he gets redshirted in his first year in the NFL, I think his chances of being highly successful go up significantly. We have no shot at Darnold or Rosen. Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield although highly touted are gimmick QBs. Mayfield is a system QB, I don't think his game translates. Jackson is a RB playing QB, I don't think he'll ever be a good passer. What we're left with: Josh Allen and Mason Rudolph. Either of these 2 I would absolutely take with our first pick. Neither of them are sure things but there is enough there where I would take a stab at either of them. Josh Allen moves in the pocket better, I'd give him the nod but both have great arms and would upgrade our offense immediately. We can't draft a QB with the standard being that they're the next Aaron Rodgers, we may have to settle with an Andy Dalton type of QB.
  20. Will Rudolph be a generational talent? No. Would he be better than any QB we've had since Jim Kelly? Quite possibly. Definitely think he is a huge upgrade over Tyrod and Peterman. He has a good arm.
  21. The Pegula's announced they're doing a 132 million dollar renovation days after you said a new stadium will be announced.
