  1. Wouldn't even give a 7th for him. I think we can easily find a better player in rounds 3-7 in the draft.
  2. I think Kyle Lauletta can be coached up. I'd love him in the 2nd round, seems like he has pretty good upside. Could be a solid pick, especially if we signed Fitzpatrick or McCown to mentor him for a year.
  3. We'll see if it helps. Sounds like he is psychotic, bipolar maybe? Only so much they can do. Going to be a lifelong battle I'm afraid.
  4. I think Manziel needs to go to the CFL and develop for a few years, the NFL is probably too much for him at this point.
  5. Sometimes you're the hammer, sometimes you're the nail. Has anybody here never been the butt of jokes? I have. But I've also viciously teased people in the past (all of which I apologized profusely for later in life). It's just the way it goes, euphoria doesn't last forever, neither does depression.
  6. 1.) Mason Rudolph, QB, OSU 1.) Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia 2.) Taven Bryan, DT, Florida 2.) Equanimeous St. Brown, WR, Notre Dame
  7. Hope we stick to the blue chip players, I don't want flashy free agents, just tough hombres that buy into the process. Let the divas go to Dallas and New York while we scoop up the guys that have been looked over with chips on their shoulders.
  8. Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson, I don't care how risky it is, if either one of them falls to 21, take a stab, just don't trade up for one and I'm cool with it.
  9. Problem is, if we did sign Cousins, we'd be spent. Not a penny left for anyone else, that's worrisome to me. If we went after Case Keenum: 1.) Is he a 1 year wonder? 2.) Do you want to hitch your wagons to him and commit long term? Because in my mind, he is going to get a fat contract. Nick Foles would be a decent fall back option, but like Keenum, is he a flash in the pan? Do you want to give up draft picks and money to acquire him? That leaves a bunch of other mediocre options, why dump Taylor at that point? Especially for a lateral move.
  10. Hate is a strong word, but when I think of McShay and Kiper it's one of the first words that comes to mind.
  11. Couple good things about keeping Taylor: 1.) If we cut him and failed to land a top free agent, we would be empty handed which is a possibility because we don't have as much cap space as other teams. 2.) We aren't in a frenzy to draft a QB, the board can come to us and it will be harder for other teams to see our hand. 3.) Taylor has 1 year on his deal, perfect bridge QB. Sit the rookie down, start Taylor and let him walk after his contract expires. 4.) Cutting Taylor and signing another middle of the road QB would take up more valuable cap space for essentially the same results. 5.) If we do land a rookie QB that is showing dominant traits early on, we can trade Taylor to a team that has an injured starter or a team that failed to draft or sign a viable option in free agency. 6.) His teammates love him. 7.) We made the playoffs with Tyrod with a Swiss cheese roster, we can do it again with 4 picks in the top 2 rounds.
  12. Steve Young did OK, John Elway did OK. I mean, I see what you're saying but the game has changed. Dual threat QBs is where the game is headed IMO.
  13. I think Sam Darnold is a Tony Romo like prospect. Jackson is a similar prospect to Watson. Rosen I think has high bust potential. Baker Mayfield is Johnny Manziel 2.0 and Mason Rudolph is Andy Dalton.
  14. Jackson is malleable, that's why. He has a big arm, is an electrifying runner, I like him. I think most people dislike him because of the whole 'black guys can't play QB' argument. Look past skin color, Jackson is more like Deshaun Watson than he is Geno Smith.
  15. I'm okay with Jackson at 21 and I'm okay with Tyrod in Buffalo another year. As much as I want Cousins or Keenum, not a chance that happens, we don't have the cap room to make that happen, so why dump our starting QB?
  16. The only thing Jackson and Taylor have in common is, they're both black and can run. Jackson is a much better passer.
  17. I look at Foles as my oh **** option. If we go through March and then April with no resolution then I see us making a strong push for Foles. I don't see him being dealt until after the draft but I'm no Miss Chloe I'm just thinking ahead. I want Case Keenum. Want 20 a year? No problem, the market is going to explode, I'd sign him quick before Brees and Cousins sign.
  18. I want Nick Foles or Case Keenum. I want a veteran QB, not a fan of trading up at all.
  19. Yeah, I know. But they could both be signed really cheap. Add a guy like Taven Bryan, ease him into the lineup FT, our interior D is set.
  20. Haloti Ngata and Kyle Williams would be nice.
  21. Don't you have to play in the NFL for 5 years to get the 300k/yr per life pension? I hope he keeps his benefits. Only been playing for 4 years.
  22. I want Case Keenum. Draft a QB if a good one falls, otherwise load up.
  23. That's a good strategy, Vea and Rudolph would be solid picks. We may get an additional 3rd if we lose Gaines. Could have two 2nds and two 3rds, could completely rebuild the entire roster. A young QB would fail here if we gave up everything to get him, we have too many holes. How we made the playoffs last year I have no freaking idea.
