Mason Rudolph is the kind of guy I want representing our city. Will he even be there at 21? Guy regularly hits 35-40 yard passes with ease, moreso than any QB in this class. Listen to him in interviews, he's smart, any faults he has can be corrected.

Lamar Jackson on why he chose Louisville ...
ghostwriter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man, he did not come off as very smart in that interview and um I'm not sure if he can handle the mental aspect of the game and um I think he has a lot of anxiety. (Kidding, I think he'll be better than RG3.) Give me Rudolph at 21 or Kyle Lauletta in the 2nd. Not interested in anyone else. Don't think we should move up either. -
If that draft happened, we'd be in the playoffs 2 years in a row. Good job.

Allen and Jackson are above him because of their ceiling IMO. Rudolph has a lower floor. But Allen and Jackson were both completing less than 60% (56% and 59%), Rudolph completed 63% and every year at Oklahoma St. his accuracy improved.
-
I understand that, but he is malleable, he can throw the ball. Allen and Jackson both have accuracy issues, but they get a free pass. Rudolph is one of the most accurate throwers in the draft and he is smart, he knows where to go with the ball. Allen and Jackson have big arms, but they don't know where to go with the ball. Rudolph is very accurate and smart, while he won't wow you away with arm talent, he can get it there.

Same could be said about Allen and (Mayfield?). I'm not a pro scout, I am not a college guru and I am far from an expert, but Rudolph comes from an offense where the ball was constantly in his hands, he is also very accurate. I've liked Rudolph for a long time, it wouldn't upset me if he was the guy, let me put it that way.

I like him. I'd go as far to say that under the right scenario I'd take him at 21. I understand he is slotted as a RD2 guy, but I think he can be a good pro.

Josh Allen falls to 10, Buffalo gives Oakland #21 and #22, Buffalo receives #10 and a 6th round pick. Bills select Josh Allen.

What are your top 5 QB's in this years draft??
ghostwriter replied to elltrain22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope we go the 'slightly above average QB prospect that really fits our scheme' route. Same goes for a free agent QB, if you have somebody like Case Keenum and you think he fits your scheme' like a glove, I'd much rather prefer we go that way. Expecting a 20-something-year-old to save a franchise is foolish. Too much pressure and I think that's why QBs have a high bust rate and is such a crap shoot, I don't care who we draft, we need a bridge and we need to bring the rookie along slowly, take all the pressure off him. If you have to even question whether or not he's ready, that means he is not ready. Sit him on the bench until the game is so slow to him that he's aggravated that he's not out there. -

I think the big thing is scheme, injuries, supporting cast and coaching, those are variables experts can't see. You may have a slightly above average prospect go to a team with a great coach with a scheme that fits him perfectly. On the other side of the coin, you may have an elite player like Darnold or Rosen go to a team like the Cleveland Browns where no amount of skill can elevate that franchise which is why Rosen doesn't want to go there, he knows they'll ruin him, same goes for Eli and the Chargers. -

1.) Sam Darnold 2.) Josh Rosen 3.) Baker Mayfield 4.) Josh Allen 5.) Mason Rudolph I'm hoping Allen is there at 21, huge red flags but he has so much arm potential and talent. High risk, high reward. He could end up being the best QB in the class or he could be out of the NFL in 5 years. With the flick of a wrist he moves the ball 70 yards into small windows. If he fell to 10, I'd try to package up 21 and 22 to get Allen. We would still have all our other picks. -
Notre Dame G Quenton Nelson, food for thought.
ghostwriter replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nelson is the best OL prospect I've seen since Joe Thomas. Unfortunately, we have way too many holes and you don't move up for a OG. He is likely going to go to multiple Pro Bowls though, wouldn't surprise me if he ended up in the HOF. Rosen or Darnold I'd trade up for, I'm not educated enough to determine if Baker Mayfield would be worth moving up for, I have faith in Beane and coach McD, but QB is the only position worth giving up multiple 1sts for. -
WR Tavon Austin Set to Be Traded or Released
ghostwriter replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't take on that contract and I would be surprised if any team would, but if he was cut, absolutely we should be interested, he can play in the slot, he can take snaps at RB. Benjamin, Zay and Austin would be solid. -
You're the GM, what do you offer Kyle Williams
ghostwriter replied to elltrain22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1 year 5 million. He can still play, he is a middle of the road DT at this point. If we draft Vita Vea or Taven Bryan that will free up Kyle and he won't get the brunt of attention. Poor #1, very good #2. -
I really admire the faith Jim has in the Lord, when I feel like I'm alone and I have no one, I remember that I can lean on the Lord.

If we keep Tyrod I will still love my Bills
ghostwriter replied to Cygnus99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Crawl before you walk, walk before you run. Playoffs are just a stepping stone, but necessary to winning a Super Bowl. I want consistent playoff appearances, eventually we'll get in. Got to establish a winning culture and a winning environment at One Bills Drive. -
Ju'Wan James a release candidate
ghostwriter replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not a fan of trading Glenn, if he can come back even to 80-85%, I think he is too valuable to move, maybe eventually but I think we're a few years too early with this talk. -
Prediction- trade up for Vita Vea
ghostwriter replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd rather stay put and take Taven Bryan, he would be ideal to pencil down next to Kyle. If Vita Vea fell to 21 though, he obviously should be taken over Bryan, they're both going to be very good. Bryan is more of a penetrator like KW, Vea is more like Marcell Dareus in his prime. -
If you had to choose between one of these FA DT's
ghostwriter replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I want Kyle Williams back and draft a star DT with 21 or 22. I like Vita Vea (he'll be gone), but I think Taven Bryan will be there. Kyle Williams is still a very decent starter and I'd like to see us make the playoffs for him one last time before he retires. He just needs somebody next to him, he is not the same, but he can still play.
