I'd be a little upset about that. He won't beat out Clay and we already have O'Leary who is pretty decent.

I pick Sam Darnold, he needs a year on the bench though. I think he is the safest QB in the draft, reminds me a lot of Tony Romo. Josh Allen could be the best QB in the draft, but he is way too risky to trade up for so I choose Sam Darnold.

Browns and 49ers have 236 and 233 million in cap space

Am I reading this wrong? It says the cap is 177m and it has us listed at 188m. How do I read this? -
Daddy likey.

I'd love to have him back.

I'd wait before I gave up a pick for Foles, if say Darnold and Allen are the only two QBs that go 1-9 and we get to choose between Baker Mayfield or Josh Rosen, you get on the phone with Oakland immediately and package 21 and 22 to secure your franchise QB. Now if Darnold, Allen, Rosen and Mayfield all get drafted in the top 10, I'd offer Philly something for Foles. Maybe a 2nd round pick and draft Mason Rudolph in the 2nd round on top of that. 21 22 2nd Rudolph 2nd Foles We would go into 2018 with a strong QB stable, capable of winning right now and in the future.

Harrison Philips and Josey Jewell would be the ideal 2nd round for me. Put 21 and 22 towards QB.

Offseason hopes/predictions....

Kyle Williams comes back for another year please. Draft Taven Bryan to start next to him, all DL issues solved. Shaq will rebound, he is still a good prospect. -
Which Top Draft Prospects Fit McDermott's Model Best

Taven Bryan Josey Jewell Roquan Smith Isaiah Wynn -
I think Rudolph is there at 21, I also think 4 QBs going in the top 10 is highly unlikely, though I could be wrong. I have no special powers, I can't see into the future, just guessing.

I'm not talking about skill, demeanor, intelligence, I'm talking about sheer slinging a football around, one of the best I've ever seen in my entire life. Your criticisms of everything else though is understandable and fair, I understand where you're coming from. Do you remember Drew Henson? He threw a pretty darn good ball too, but he couldn't piece it all together too. He threw such a nice ball that Tom Brady was his backup, it could be a similar situation, but I do think Allen is immeasurably better than Henson, but both had/have immense arm talent with concerns about the rest of their game.
-
He is going to be a beast, he could probably be a 3-4 DE, but I'd love him next to Kyle Williams inside, I'd love him in the 1st round, not a chance he makes it to RD2 like many thought, he is going to be good.
-
No offense, but this is stupid. Arm talent means exactly what it says. The ability to pinpoint a bomb 50 yards down the field while running for your life. The ability to laser a football into a window that 99% of the starting QBs in the NFL couldn't do. The talent is unquestionable, Allen has as good of an arm if not better than most of the Golden Jacket QBs you see in Canton. Whether you want to criticize him for other things, that's fine and I may agree on some of those concerns, but arm talent is what it is.
-
I think pretty much everybody has those fears otherwise he would go #1 no questions asked, but I think he'd do well here. Big strong arm QB, big hands, tall, big frame can take a hit. I think he goes #1 overall, I really do. Only other QB I'd trade up for is Sam Darnold, otherwise I'd rather sit tight and draft Rudolph at 21.
-
I can't even count how many times I've seen a play break down and Allen scrambles to avoid a sack, I've also seen him break tackles to avoid being sacked. He is nothing like Jamarcus Russell, Allen has HOF talent, he is like Ben Roethlisberger with the arm talent of Johnny Unitas BUT his accuracy issues are a concern. How much of that was because of his receivers not getting open? How much of that is because he couldn't even get a clean pocket half the time?
-
You're right about Allen and Rudolph, wrong about Jackson, he has no future as an NFL starter. Allen has better arm talent than just about every starting QB in the NFL, you're very right about that, also the lowest floor.
-
If Allen falls to 10, I want to trade up for him. If he doesn't drop, I want Rudolph. I like Mayfield too, but I'm unsure about him. At this point it comes down to Allen or Rudolph for me.

Who's your "plate of crow" in the draft?
ghostwriter replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lamar Jackson will never pass for 4,000 yards in the NFL, but will have moderate success as a mid range starter for 3-4 seasons. Won't bust, better player than Tyrod, but won't live up to his 1st round status. Josh Rosen will have a moderately successful career, but riddled by injuries and character concerns, will become a journeyman QB that bounces around the league for 7-8 years. Sam Darnold makes multiple Pro Bowls, has success as a playoff QB, maybe a top 7-12 guy, but is never good enough to win a Super Bowl, he will have a career just like Tony Romo's. Josh Allen is an enigma to me. I think he can be the best QB in the draft bar none, but if he is drafted by the Browns or Jets I think he will be a draft bust. If he goes to the Giants or Broncos, he will become a top 3 QB in the NFL, needs to be handled correctly, Broncos would be great for him. Baker Mayfield, I think he has a better chance of having a solid NFL career than he does as a draft bust. Certain things bother me about him, but just like Josh Allen he has a certain attitude and Moxy about him that I like, reminds me of Kelly. Mason Rudolph, the forgotten man of the group, slips through the cracks and turns into a multiple 4,000 yard passer. Never turns into an elite player, but is a good starter that has a successful career, reminds me a lot of Philip Rivers, Rudolph is my dark horse in the draft. Kyle Lauletta. Has a successful career as a very high level backup, maybe even good enough to start on some teams, never becomes a good QB, but a traveling journeyman in the NFL. -
You and me both brother. I follow the prospects in RDS 1-3 because I like to get familiar with guys we draft. I'm also FAR from a scout, just a passionate fan with a worthless opinion. I like the team building aspect of football more than I enjoy watching the actual games.

No. We get a QB this year. Anything less than that is a failure.

So What IF The Bills Trade UP
ghostwriter replied to DefenseWins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm curious if Rosen, Allen, Darnold or Mayfield fall to 10, that would be the time to move up. It would likely take 21 and 22, but we wouldn't be on the hook for anything more after that.
