  1. There is no QB next year, we have to do something right now. Drew Lock is a helluva player, but outside of him, there is nada. If you have to overdraft Rudolph, fine. We have no choice.
  2. Funny thing is, if Rudolph came out in 2019, only Drew Lock would go ahead of him. There is literally no talent next year, the 5th and 6th best prospects in 2018 would go 2 and 3 in 2019. There is nobody next year unless we pick #1 overall and take Lock.
  3. Where would you guys rank Mason Rudolph if he was in the 2019 draft? Unless somebody rises up my list, I think if Rudolph came out in 2019, only Drew Lock would go ahead of him.
  4. I thought about Rudolph at 22, but I think we can get him in the 2nd, not to mention taking a QB in the 1st is a big commitment, a commitment I would only make for an elite QB prospect. A failed 2nd round QB, you can move on from in a year. A failed 1st round QB can get yourself fired. I don't think McDermott and Beane should rest their fate on an Andy Dalton kind of prospect.
  5. I actually like Allen the most out of any QB in the draft, not enough to trade the farm for, but enough to trade up to #6 without hesitation. Guy has a golden arm, very mobile and can break tackles. I think Allen is a perfect fit for Buffalo and we are the ideal landing spot for him as well IMO.
  6. I'd take Jackson in RD2, for sure. Assuming the top 4 QBs are gone: 12.) 1a. Vita Vea 1b. Roquan Smith 22.) 1a. Rashaan Evans 1b. Taven Bryan I would take Rudolph at 22 under the right scenario, but perhaps that's desperation on my end. If he is there at 53, why take him at 22?
  7. This x10. Don't draft a QB just to draft one, if the top 4 are gone by 12, move on and draft Vita Vea or Roquan Smith imo.
  8. I think there is a chance Mayfield or Allen is there at 12, I don't think it's this impossible scenario that many make it out to be.
  9. The Bills didn't beat up on the Dolphins in the 90s because Kelly was a better QB than Marino. We beat up on the Dolphins because we had the superior team. We have the opportunity to build a powerhouse. We could walk away with an elite LB, DT, C and add a speedy WR plus depth at OT and CB. The Jets will have the better QB for sure, but we will have the better team 10x over.
  10. No trades: 12.) Vita Vea, DT, Washington 22.) Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama 53.) Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State 56.) Billy Price, C/OG, OSU 65.) James Washington, WR, Oklahoma State 96.) Josey Jewell, LB, Iowa 121.) Tony Brown, CB, Alabama 166.) Rick Leonard, OT, Florida 187.) Deatrick Nichols, CB, South Florida
  11. Let's see who is on the board first. If Mayfield or Allen fall to 12, not a chance would I move down. Vita Vea at 12 and Rashaan Evans at 22 would be disgusting!
  12. I was expecting (I was hoping for) 5 years 40 million total, so about 8 million AAV. We over paid slightly but he fits the scheme to a tee and he knows McDermott's system very well, but that's a little high for a run clogger and I worry if he sees year 3 or 4 of his contract, 10 million a year is a lot of pressure to live up to. I'm hoping that we pay him the 20 million over the first 2 years and then ideally he restructures down the line as he gets older and loses a step. Star may find himself at 30 years old making 10 million a year and Beane asks him to take a 2 million pay cut in the future and he may have to take it because he knows he won't get a better deal on the market, but that big ass 50 million dollar contract at least gets him in Buffalo. Then there is a chance he actually lives up to it.
  13. This thread is oddly satisfying, kind of like popping a pimple or picking a booger.
  14. 12, 22, 53 and 56 according to the chart, but after the Jets trade, I think it would take more than that.
  15. I'd rather trade with the Bears at 8. None of the other QB needy teams have the capital to make it up that far. #12 and #65 would get us up there.
  16. I think you're the one that is confused my friend. I'd be shocked if Jackson was the guy, he's a sandlot QB like Tyrod. I think we want a rhythmic pocket passer, a QB that beat you with their brain and their arm, I don't see that in Jackson. If we do take Jackson though, you're damn right I'd be confused. Tyrod would have been the perfect bridge for Jackson. I stand by Rudolph btw. Not sure where he goes or where other teams value him, but he is going to be a good pro.
  17. If we wanted a QB like Jackson, we would have kept Tyrod. Allen and Mayfield? Wishful thinking, but a slight chance, but unlikely. Both could be gone in the top 5. Browns, Giants, Jets and Broncos all need QBs, if we were going to trade up, we would have done it already.
  18. Fans only know two names: Rosen and Darnold. Let's just sit here and gush over the two QB prospects that are going 1 and 2 overall! Great idea! Want, want, want and want all you want, it's never going to happen. Can we talk about QBs that we actually have a shot at drafting? Can we do that?
  19. Yeah, because having only Nathan Peterman going into the draft is a good situation to be in. McCarron is making next to nothing r-e-l-a-x.
  20. Allen in Buffalo would be walking into the perfect situation, we are the perfect team for him. We would have a ton of picks to build the team around him, wouldn't have to start right away, we are in my mind the ideal landing spot for him.
  21. It would take 12, 22, 53, 56, 65, 96. In other words all of our picks in RDS 1-3.
  22. That's pretty interesting. With who? I think if we trade up for QB, the #12 is going to have to be involved. #22 - 780 #53 - 370 #56 - 340 #65 - 265 #96 - 116 I don't think that's worth it.
  23. We got Washington, Arizona, Baltimore and Los Angeles. Would Baltimore give up their 1st, 2nd and 3rd to get in the top 10? Or would they kick the tires on Flacco for another year? (I don't think so) #16, #52 and #83 = 1,555 that could get them to 7-8 possibly, but would Chicago or Tampa Bay want to go down that far? Next we got Washington, they own picks #13, #44, #68 that = 1,678. Could possibly get them to #6, but they just signed Alex Smith to a huge deal, Washington trading up is highly unlikely. That leaves Arizona, who in my mind is the biggest threat. They have #15, #47, #79, #97 which equals 1,787, that would get them to #6 (maybe). Bills own #12, #22, #53, #56, #65, #96 which comes out to 3,071. It's true we can outbid any team, but I think the only legitimate threat is Arizona. EDIT: Forgot the Chargers. They own #17, #48, #84 which equals 1,540. That could get them to 8. They have Rivers though, it would make more sense build around him unless a QB drops down the board. Also: #6 - 1,600 #7 - 1,500 #8 - 1,400 #9 - 1,350 #10 - 1,300 Keep in mind that if a team knows you're trading up for a QB, you will be paying more than that! But those numbers are just a baseline/starting point.
  24. I think he's an option at 22. Too bad we don't have the 33rd or 34th pick, that would be the ideal place to take him. I have an early 2nd round grade on him, but I'd overdraft him at 22, it's just the nature of the beast, QBs alwayyys get overdrafted.
  25. The Colts milked them like a cow! The Jets gave up way too much, they have more holes than we do and now they don't have any picks. The Jets are a stupid franchise, I get a sadistic sense of satisfactory watching them flounder like a fish. The owner, all the way down to the GM and coach are complete morons, they're turning into the new Cleveland Browns, it's awesome to watch.
