Opinions on why we passed on Rosen?
ghostwriter replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lack of mobility, character concerns, injury concerns, what you see is what you get, limited potential. I think Rosen will have a great career as a journeyman QB. Allen on the other hand could be special although many assume his floor is much lower. Rosen reminds me so much of Peterman. -
Which Wide Receiver would you take
ghostwriter replied to BBills88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's really hard to say because we might move up. We are looking at late 3rd early 4th round players when there is a chance we move to the top of the 3rd and perhaps some mid to late 2nd round players are available. I'd imagine it all depends if somebody really special falls down and in that case you got to move up. How often do late 3rd round picks or later actually pan out anyways? Give me Kirk, Brown or Washington. Walking away with a stud QB, LB and WR is good enough for me. Anytime you draft 3 above average starters in a draft you did a hell of a job. Fill in the other holes with UDFAs and June 1st cuts. -
The Book is Closed on the Mahomes Trade

No doubt, I like Allen too, he is a Buffalo guy and I think he'll be great. I also believe Allen is a much better prospect than Mahomes is to be completely honest but if Allen does indeed bust and Mahomes does go on to be great, there is going to **** molecules stuck to the air. -
Will Shaq Lawson get dealt during draft?
ghostwriter replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's had 10 sacks over 2 years, I know that QB hurries count but don't kid yourself, he is also going to be 30. You have to ask yourself, how much longer does this guy have? 15 sacks over 3 years, I think Lawson can match that production and he is 10 years younger with more upside. -

I knew that but McD was, life isn't fair though. If Mahomes turns into Brett Favre 2.0 and Allen turns into Paxton Lynch, McD will not be able to persevere that shitstorm. -

I think Mahomes will be an All-Pro, Andy Reid knows QBs and I liked Mahomes coming out. Tre is a shutdown corner and I like Edmunds so I think we added two studs but what it comes down to is Allen vs Mahomes. I like Allen but passing on Mahomes was incredibly risky and could end up getting McD and Beane fired if Mahomes turns into a star and Allen busts. -
Will Shaq Lawson get dealt during draft?
ghostwriter replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In an ideal world we trade neither of them. If Shaq starts dominating in camp though and we got Murphy playing well, sure I'd move Hughes for a 2019 pick. Anything less than a 2nd for Hughes or Lawson, why bother? It's like throwing talent away for nothing. -

Hughes is old and we could likely fetch a mid/late 2nd for him, he is declining. Shaq on the other hand would fetch a 4th or 5th but has tons of room for growth. -

I'd rather move Hughes than Shaq. -
Irresponsible to trade away so many picks?
ghostwriter replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How often do 2nd round picks succeed hit or miss? 50% maybe? So let's say half our 2nd round picks succeeded, so that leaves you with one hit and a chance you lose that player to free agency in 4 years. If we strike gold with Josh Allen, he will be here for 15 years, same can't be said for the WR, OL, DL or LB we would have taken in RD2. For Edmunds we gave up #65 to move up for a top 10 talent. How often do 3rd round picks materialize? At the end of the day we got two difference makers at our two biggest weaknesses and we still have a 3rd, 4th and two 5ths to add more talent, we are actually sitting pretty right now. -

Josey Jewell the LB from Iowa would be a good pick. Milano, Edmunds and Jewell would !@#$ some **** up. -

I'd be happy if every pick we own for the rest of the draft went towards OL and WR. I don't think we're that bad off but we have a lot invested into Allen, at least he has McCoy, Clay and Benjamin but I wouldn't mind a burner like James Washington from Oklahoma State in the mix. -

That would be amazing if it happened that way. -
LB and QB are squared away, is there any OL or WR help we can get for Allen to make his job easier?

A+ Awesome awesome awesome talent at need areas. Never gave much thought to Edmunds before because I thought we never would even get the opportunity to draft him, I expected Allen though, very happy.

RD1, Pick 7: Josh Allen QB - Wyoming
ghostwriter replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm OK with people not liking the pick, because that's a person's opinion and everyone is entitled to their own personal beliefs and I respect that BUT when people start talking like clairvoyant know-it-alls I want to scream. I love Allen, not like, love him but do I know he'll be great? No, and I won't state it or word it in such a way that implies that. I don't see what the negativity does however, even if you are convinced deep down in your soul, what's the point of lamenting over it for the next 5 years??? And I don't think that's fair to Allen to start the guy out in your doghouse when he hasn't even thrown a single pass. -
RD1, Pick 7: Josh Allen QB - Wyoming
ghostwriter replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't express how happy I am Josh Allen is our guy, I kept it hidden because I knew it was a potential shitstorm to not gush over Rosen like 99% of fans here seemed to think. His arm is !@#$ing awesome, he is going to win a lot of people over from that alone. It wouldn't surprise me if Beane released those tweets to intentionally drop Allen down to us. Fans are going to go nuts when they him play, once again I question how much fans have actually seen of Allen, I am so !@#$ing excited. -
4 maybe 5 years.

RD1, Pick 7: Josh Allen QB - Wyoming

How do I disprove a negative? I said I DON'T KNOW, NEITHER DOES JROBER. Nobody knows if it's a hit or miss yet! -

If you don't even give somebody an honest chance, I think that's a dirtball stance to take. Then to preach about analytics and pretend to predict the future and know what's going to happen, yeah people like that can kindly !@#$ off. -

I know your type, I hate the know it all nerd types. You cannot predict the future and you're not as smart as you think. Also, if you think it's OK to call a player a bust before he even played 1 game, morally you are a sleezeball. -

Guess what? He has more here than he did in college which is a reflection of how poor his team was. How many players do you think will get drafted from Wyoming? Maybe you should go take a nap and sleep off the alcohol you had tonight.
