My problem is that fans are unreasonably worried and uneasy, I think the 7th overall pick should warrant more optimism than what we're seeing. Had we drafted Rosen this would be a non-issue, just be honest. Fans wanted Rosen, they didn't get their guy and they're upset, it's simple. Why are people so optimistic about Edmunds and not Allen? You don't see fans expressing concern over MLB anymore.

McCarron is nothing more than a life support raft, Allen has the ceiling of Ben Roethlisberger but myopic fans ignore that, they automatically assume the worst even though we may go from the bottom half to the top half by the end of the year.

You don't draft a QB 7th overall and presume that we have the worst QB situation in the NFL. That's a really high pick on a top prospect.

I'd be surprised if Manning had a direct role, possible but unlikely. Why do it? Guy is worth 100 million.

I understand that and I already acknowledged that earlier in my aforementioned post. I think of Alshon Jeffery going to Philly, he wanted a prove it deal and Wentz hadn't proven jack diddly at that point. Just don't pretend that we have EJ Manuel at QB. And the Patriots after Edmunds knocks Tom Brady's teeth out. There are other teams I left out, there's a few other guys like Roethlisberger, Alex Smith, Brees that will retire soon and Allen can jump up the list even higher. There is a strong chance, which wasn't a reality 2 weeks ago. We went from the bottom 25% quartile to now we have a guy with a strong possibility of being in the top 25%, let me put it that way.

Bills fans are so used to being bottom feeders that they can't fathom the fact that we may actually have a top flight franchise QB. Cheers.

Good player, but I think Siran Neal is going to blow up as a S/LB/DB. I could see him playing LB in the nickel and some safety in obvious rushing situations, the guy plays with brutality. Edmunds and Milano will get the brunt of playing time, Neal and Lorax will split time.

Why though? That's not biasedness. Nobody at all had Baker Mayfield at #1, nobody! It was Allen or Darnold on every mock I read. We invested a fortune into QB, I will acknowledge that it may not start out pretty, there is going to be a period of tribulation but you'd hope that by the end of the year Allen takes that job and doesn't look back.

I'd say you don't know what you're talking about. Allen was projected at #1 overall for months leading up to the draft, I don't think fans realize how fortunate we are to have him. The Bengals were offered 2 2nds for McCarron, he has also shown potential. We have a bright future.

Is it really? Our QB stable is actually pretty decent. One of the hottest backup QBs over the last 2-3 years and the #7 overall pick. Dez and Benjamin would be disgusting! I'd love Dez on a 1 year prove it deal, get it done. Allen needs all the help he can get.

Could not have worked out any better, Beane is a good GM who got really really lucky on top of that.
