  1. There's not enough information to make an informed decision. You could be right, but you don't know you're right, it's a 50/50 chance. That's why we always get crow threads 1087458800x a year.
  2. That's it man, takes time. Way too early for this, I'm a very intuitive guy, but with football, never go off of feelings, NEVER. Go off of observations only and to be frank, there is not a large enough body of work to make an observation. Some guys just want to be the first one to call it, it really is nothing more than that. Told you so! Bragging rights.
  3. This was the right gameplan for Allen, this should be the gameplan every week. Guy is a rookie, this is how you handle rookies. Perfect.
  4. Oh, yeah? Kelly dodging the Bills for 3 years in the USFL is buying in to team culture? Nahhhh. That's called Buffalo realizing they had an elite talent and figuring out a way to make it work. Once we started winning, then Kelly bought in, he didn't even want to be here. Winning solves all problems and reinforces players psychologically and encourages a more powerful team mentality and team confidence. That's why the good franchises are always good and the bad ones seem to have a hard time turning it around.
  5. Winning creates culture and if you have a guy that is the best at his craft, he will have a ginormous ego. Do you think Bruce, Jimbo, Andre and Thurm were choir boys? Absolutely not! Marv just knew how to manage supremely talented men with enormous personalities. Any elite athlete will be that way, moxy is good not bad.
  6. Lawrence Taylor, Michael Irvin, Terrell Owens, Antonio Brown, Richard Sherman, Marshawn Lynch, Stephon Gilmore, Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods, Marcell Dareus. Elite coaches manage personalities, period.
  7. Give me Antonio Brown or OBJ ALL DAY LONG. I'd even take Terrell Owens in his prime, YOU BETCHA! Those guys are winners, definitely not culture guys but I'd want them on my team! Ever see those dog show trainers that literally train dogs to the point where they lose their personalities and become robots? YUCK! That's what MCD wants! Dez should have been in Buffalo 2 weeks ago!
  8. Who's fault is that? He purged our roster of talent, be fair. Can't give him a free pass for having a bare cupboard when he's the guy that threw everything in the trash. Can he lead men? Not every 6'5 300lb player is going to let a 5'8 150lbs coach control their every move. These guys aren't kids anymore, hell a lot of these guys have kids and families and tons of people relying on them. There will be lots of different characters, identities, humors, flaws and personalities and a good coach will see the good in his men and lead them, not trade them away for nothing!
  9. Abbot Pizza in Lackawanna, they do delicious subs too, their pizza is the best I've had.
  10. That's when it helps to have a coach who can manage personalities well. Being an NFL coach requires a bit of insight into psychology, it's not that X personality is bad, it's about how can I communicate with him in a way that's going to get through to him. You have to wonder about McD's mediation skills when even his own guy (Kelvin Benjamin) does not want to be here. Once again, different personality types are NOT a bad thing if you can manage them, it's actually a really good thing. Coach McD could benefit on a few psychology courses in the offseason, I think he could benefit from it.
  11. Sure, it'd be great, but Allen year 1? Definitely not expecting it. This team is in it's infancy stages, too early to get a feel for it's personality. We will know a lot more about this team next year.
  12. I don't care about W or L, I'm more concerned with Allen and his growth, that ultimately determines whether or not Beane and McD have a future here. Having a star QB fixes everything.
  13. Trade down for as many picks as possible. Combine that with 70 million cap space, we can change this thing around.
  14. Hopefully it wasn't too serious and she can walk away from this. Hope the guy is OK.
  15. And a defensive coordinator that needs superstars at every position to be average.
  16. I think an All Pro center is the quickest thing that can turn this offense around. We need a mean SOB anchoring that line, losing Eric Wood killed us. Unless AJ Green or Julio Jones is available, I want the meanest center or LG we can find with that 1st pick.
  17. I think he could play on a better team with better support. Many of the good ones played extremely dumbed down offenses their rookie years, but they all had vets to lean on while Allen has Andre Holmes and Ryan Groy.
  18. Allen, Edmunds, Star, Phillips, Kyle Williams, Dion Dawkins, Hyde, Poyer, Milano, Tre White.
  19. Truth, brother. But to me, McDermott got us to the playoffs year 1, he's earned my patience and respect for that. I'm not happy about the bare cupboard on offense, but once again, we'll see what happens. If Allen regresses, no matter what the reason is, fire all of them. You need a QB in this league to have sustainable success, that's my bottom line.
  20. I question some of the moves too, but as a fan, I think they deserve a fairshake. This year does not count, you got a rookie QB, he needs to grow. I need to see how they develop Allen in year 2. If Allen regresses, Beane and McD should be gone. This year absolutely 100% does not matter to me though, I'm not expecting anything, but if they do finish strong, I mean who wouldn't want that?
  21. The guy is a load, really scary dude IMO. Few plays I noticed him explode into the backfield, he didn't get the sack or tackle but it opened up other guys to make a play. Snacks was a damn good football player, better at run D than Star but not as explosive. I think Star can pass rush better than Snacks ever could, won't be a 10 sack guy but I think he has some ability there.
