This thread was about NFL stadiums, design and architecture, it's not a goddamn debate about whether a new stadium will get built or not. It's a hypothetical, which NFL stadium would you like in a Buffalo? Simple. And I do think a new stadium gets built, the NFL definitely wants it, our current stadium is ancient. Pegs is playing hardball, I think he wants one too but it's all about the bottom line. It's nothing more than fronting and politics, it'll get done.

Yeah, wanting a new stadium in Buffalo makes me a Zero. We could always stay at New Era field until the stadium falls apart we get moved, that'd make me a real winner then.

Wrong. He said the 90 million would go to homegrown talent yet there is no homegrown talent to sign. As I have pointed out, they will not spend right up to the cap, not only is there no requirement to spend the money but there will be no permission to do so. Hope that answers everything. I'd take Lorax and Jordan Phillips for sure, but if you go back to my post it was in response to the idea that the 90 million in cap is going towards our own players which is absolutely not true. No offense and please don't take this personally but 90% of the players you listed are #1 garbage and #2 cheap.

I do believe we can improve enough to have an ok offense and with this defense I think we could really play some good competitive football. Defense is our identity, we just need an offense that can put up 21pts and we will be a playoff team.

You accused me of saying that they were going to botch the cap, if you read my post you would see that I think Terry Pegula will put financial restraints on McD and Beane, so they won't even get the chance. My ideology is simple, I expect my HC to field an elite unit on his side of the ball. So far I think McD can build a top 5 defense, if he can even just field a completely average offense we're golden. We have a ton of cap but I think the problem McD is going to have is his allowance. I think Terry is a fool if he let's McD spend 90 million. I would laugh hysterically if he did though and wonder how he became a billionaire. I'd like to see lots of 2-3 year deals we can get out of after 1 year.

How much of that do you let McD spend? That's the question. We're talking about a coach that is very much on the hot seat, could be gone midyear if our offense keeps sputtering. Do you really want to let this guy sign huge free agents when the next coach may not even want them?

Would they keep Frazier though? As I said before, we just need an OK offense and we'll win a lot of games. If Terry wanted a high octane offense why didn't he hire an offensive mind to begin with? We got 10 picks and 90 million cap, in my mind I give McD one more crack at this. If we suck next year and our defense is good, I agree wholeheartedly on keeping Leslie Frazier and the entire defensive staff and hiring an offensive minded HC, but I'd give McD another chance first before I went that route.

McD is a very good defensive mind, I think he can build a top 5 defense consistently and I think that's our identity. Nope, we'll never put 50pts on you like the Rams, we would rather hold you to 10pts and beat you by a touchdown. That's the image we're built in, everyone should have known this the second McD was named HC. Just need an offense that can put up 21pts and we can go pretty far.

You could be right, I would love to get in Terry's mind and just see what he's thinking, it could happen but I think it'd be a mistake.

Wouldn't fire him yet, I think he did a great job on defense, like super impressive, lots of young players that are going to be good for a very long time. Defense will always be our identity though, I think we can regularly finish in the top 5 under McD. It's what he does on offense that makes me queasy but he deserves the opportunity to fix the problem. I think he can, will he though? Nobody knows, which is why I wouldn't fire him just yet if I was Terry Pegula.

I don't trust the process, not one bit, but that doesn't mean I'm 100% sure McD will fail, I don't know. I know it doesn't look good but here's what gives me a sliver of hope, our defense is going to be really good, to the point where I think Edmunds and White are going to be amongst the best at their positions, like top 10 defense for the foreseeable future kind of good. If we can just get a top 16-20 offense we can win a lot of games. I think that's doable. We will never be a high octane offense under McDermott though but we don't need to be. We just need to be okay on offense and we'll go far.

Who's to say that our offense can't become halfway decent? We have 10 picks and a ton of cap space to play around with. I think firing McD right away is immature and premature. One more year. He earned it.

You don't fire a playoff coach after 2 seasons, you have to be more principled than that. McD earned the right to be here for 3 years, firing him would be highly unreasonable. I like what he did on defense, give him 1 more draft and off-season. Leave feelings out of this, McD is 1-1, one good season, one bad season. Give him another year, it's the right thing to do. I'm not optimistic about it, but the data is inconclusive at this point.

I'm not worried about STs right now, fix our offense first, STs should be the finishing touch.

The fair thing to do is give McD another draft, that's the reasonable thing to do. He deserves that. There is a chance he turns it around and he deserves that chance. With all that said, I think part of the problem is coaching, not personnel and you can't fire Daboll because no qualified coach will come here when the HC may be gone in 6 games. McDermott is in a really really really bad spot, I don't think he is going to get out of this one, but he has earned the chance to try. One last off-season, maybe they can even just build a mediocre offense, hey man, our defense can be elite, with a mediocre offense we would probably be playoff bound.

There is no fixing this offense. Not this year. Next year Daboll should be gone, McD should be given one more draft. What he does or not does at OC will ultimately determine his fate. I don't like Daboll but who else could McD hire at this point? Nobody credible. No one will come here and I really really think the only way to turn this franchise around is to pluck a QB coach or OC from the Rams, Chiefs or Eagles and pair him with Allen is the only way to fix this offense. I'd keep Leslie Frazier and all of our defensive staff to continue to build a culture on defense, everyone else gone. This probably won't happen until next off-season though, but I do think it's going to happen. How can McD get out of this? He is on the hot seat, Daboll is terrible and that's who he's stuck with, it's just a matter of time at this point.
