  1. Wouldn't fire him yet, I think he did a great job on defense, like super impressive, lots of young players that are going to be good for a very long time. Defense will always be our identity though, I think we can regularly finish in the top 5 under McD. It's what he does on offense that makes me queasy but he deserves the opportunity to fix the problem. I think he can, will he though? Nobody knows, which is why I wouldn't fire him just yet if I was Terry Pegula.
  2. I don't trust the process, not one bit, but that doesn't mean I'm 100% sure McD will fail, I don't know. I know it doesn't look good but here's what gives me a sliver of hope, our defense is going to be really good, to the point where I think Edmunds and White are going to be amongst the best at their positions, like top 10 defense for the foreseeable future kind of good. If we can just get a top 16-20 offense we can win a lot of games. I think that's doable. We will never be a high octane offense under McDermott though but we don't need to be. We just need to be okay on offense and we'll go far.
  3. Who's to say that our offense can't become halfway decent? We have 10 picks and a ton of cap space to play around with. I think firing McD right away is immature and premature. One more year. He earned it.
  4. You don't fire a playoff coach after 2 seasons, you have to be more principled than that. McD earned the right to be here for 3 years, firing him would be highly unreasonable. I like what he did on defense, give him 1 more draft and off-season. Leave feelings out of this, McD is 1-1, one good season, one bad season. Give him another year, it's the right thing to do. I'm not optimistic about it, but the data is inconclusive at this point.
  5. I'm not worried about STs right now, fix our offense first, STs should be the finishing touch.
  6. The fair thing to do is give McD another draft, that's the reasonable thing to do. He deserves that. There is a chance he turns it around and he deserves that chance. With all that said, I think part of the problem is coaching, not personnel and you can't fire Daboll because no qualified coach will come here when the HC may be gone in 6 games. McDermott is in a really really really bad spot, I don't think he is going to get out of this one, but he has earned the chance to try. One last off-season, maybe they can even just build a mediocre offense, hey man, our defense can be elite, with a mediocre offense we would probably be playoff bound.
  7. There is no fixing this offense. Not this year. Next year Daboll should be gone, McD should be given one more draft. What he does or not does at OC will ultimately determine his fate. I don't like Daboll but who else could McD hire at this point? Nobody credible. No one will come here and I really really think the only way to turn this franchise around is to pluck a QB coach or OC from the Rams, Chiefs or Eagles and pair him with Allen is the only way to fix this offense. I'd keep Leslie Frazier and all of our defensive staff to continue to build a culture on defense, everyone else gone. This probably won't happen until next off-season though, but I do think it's going to happen. How can McD get out of this? He is on the hot seat, Daboll is terrible and that's who he's stuck with, it's just a matter of time at this point.
  8. I don't think they expected it to be this bad, I think they thought it'd be an uphill battle but I do believe they expected more. With that said you give them another year out of principle. Am I optimistic? No. With that said fair is fair, McD gets 3 years before I feel comfortable with the sampling size, I think that's the honorable thing to do.
  9. Not a chance, we're dealing with highly principled men. That'd be like a dog turning on his master, even a dog wouldn't do that, it would be completely barbaric and savage. Beane and McD are in this together win or lose, any other scenario than that is chaotic and not likely.
  10. Tavon Austin and Marquise Brown are completely different players, how are they similar at all? Brown is more like Lee Evans than he is Austin. Offenses don't matter if you believe in that player, many players from many different offenses have been successful, what you say is baseless, just like your entire post.
  11. He's 5'11 and he'll probably weigh closer to 178-180 when it's done. By far the most exciting WR in the draft. Hollywood will be a playmaker in the NFL.
  12. I think this is a game we can win, but I hope not. I want to tank for Marquise Brown, hopefully we're picking around #4, perfect place to take him.
  13. We can do all these things, once again though I see a strong need for a scrappy veteran at QB, someone that could start if needed. I don't think that's even debatable honestly, no better guy than Fitz.
  14. What if he never develops though? Then the season is a guaranteed tank, with Fitz on the roster you protect yourself from that.
  15. I'd give up a 5th for Fitz, he's good for the occasional 4 TD game, 14 year NFL vet. Allen could take his sweet time.
  16. I'd bring Ryan Fitzpatrick back, trade for him if you have to. Then I'd sign Ryan Kalil to start at C. Then in the draft I'd take Marquise Brown, I think he has elite #1 potential and then by that point Zay should be coming along as a solid #2. Whole OL needs to be gutted, I'd keep Dawkins, Mills, Teller and Bodine but would definitely need to spend multiple draft picks here. Tavon Austin is a guy I'd offer a deal as well and shouldn't cost too much, could be a solid #3 and return man.
  17. Tutan Reyes, Mike Gandy, Geoff Hangartner, Demetress Bell would all be upgrades at this point.
  18. The thing I found alarming is McD hired Dennison and Daboll, both have been awful, you begin to ask yourself if he understands offense. With that said, I don't think you can fire him yet. If you fire him now you didn't give him a fair shake. I think you give him 1 more offseason, if we come out soft next year fire him midseason.
  19. I'd still watch the NFL, I'd probably become an Eagles fan, I mean I already am a fan of the Eagles to a lesser degree, I mean obviously if it was Buffalo vs Philly in the Super Bowl I'd root for Buffalo every single time, but if you removed Buffalo from the equation the Eagles would be what's left.
  20. I'm a Trump supporter, but I think Trump is very wrong on Kaepernick. I think the entire NFL is wrong on Kaepernick. Guy deserves the right to speak, he isn't promoting drugs or violence, he is promoting equality, why he is being punished I do not know.
  21. I'd bring in Kaepernick for sure. I'm in the minority, I guess, his political views don't bother me at all. May actually go good in our locker room, most of our players are black. Sure, why not? Would make the rest of the season interesting. I'm down.
  22. What OC is going to link up with a HC who is on his third OC in three years? Let's face it, soon McD will be out the door. Daboll isn't the guy to develop Allen and we won't have that guy until McD is gone. He had two chances and he squandered both of them. Allen will continue to struggle until Terrible Terry fires everybody.
