  1. Could be. Could also be worried about an injury. A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush.
  2. Sammy's best years were in Buffalo. Isn't that ironic? We're supposed to be the place where WRs go to die. Two 1,000 yard seasons back to back and then a down year. My point is, if we kept it inhouse there'd be no bidding war and the free market couldn't drive up his value. No doubt he'd be making less than 16m here.
  3. For one year. His 5th year option would be substantially lower.
  4. Maybe he didn't want to get into it? I would have acted no different than Bell. It's not out of spite, smart guy.
  5. In @ScottLaw defense though, had we kept Sammy he wouldn't have got this much money. I truly believe that. Pick up his 5th year option, franchise him if you have to and work out a deal.
  6. They didn't just overpay slightly, they overpayed massively. That's their business though. He's still a good receiver though.
  7. This is what separates bad GMs from good GMs. Can Beane find a diamond in the rough?
  8. I want Ryan Kalil in free agency. In the draft I like Marquise Brown and LJ Scott. I'd keep Matt Barkley around but I'd draft another QB in the mid rounds somewhere. Someone that we can develop and perhaps be a lifesaver to McD if Allen craps out.
  9. I hope I eat crow on Daboll, Beane and McD. I'd love for them to make me look stupid and I'm beginning to think that's going to happen. Win the next 4 please. Shut me up.
  10. I couldn't do a better job so I'm not going to embarrass myself. I'd hire McDermott back and tell Terry to give him one more year.
  11. Prescott is better than Eli was at this point his career. Took him awhile to figure it out. Prescott's ceiling is similar to Andy Dalton's.
  12. Dareus gave up though. All the talent in the world but he quit on us. He is the Kelvin Benjamin of DTs. My MD jersey went in the trash. No joke.
  13. I'd like to see them take another stab at QB. It's the smart move. Not in the 1st round though of course, but I'm open to a 2nd round pick. Keep Barkley onboard as well.
  14. Most fans liked him when we drafted him, I did not. But Zay has steadily improved and now I am completely sold.
  15. I have tremendous hope for Zay Jones. I think if he continues on his current path he'll be a guy we can count on. He's steadily shown that he is a great route runner, a very good route runner. Can't emphasize that enough.
  16. Money is not a problem. I'd pay an elite run stuffer what Star got all day long. OP is absolutely correct and this is an astute observation. Can't say it any better.
  17. Their offense is better. We're comparing our defenses, not quarterbacks or offenses. C'mon man.
  18. Barkley reminds me of Fitzy. Good catch Brandon Beane. Good catch indeed. Definitely a guy I'd keep around, I'd probably give him a few more starts. No need to compromise Allen. It's not time yet.
  19. All four games are winnable. I'll never root for high draft picks. McBeane says they're not tanking. Prove it.
  20. I'm hoping for Ryan Kalil in free agency. It'd be nice to have a veteran center calling the line audibles. I'd draft the best center I could in the 2nd-3rd and play him at RG until Kalil retires. Dawkins is good, Mills is a starter but if you can upgrade him too that'd be a bonus. I'd let Miller and Teller battle for that other guard spot.
  21. Truth is, the Steelers offered Bell a lucrative contract before the season, he refused. I think his demands are outrageous, he didn't have to play on the tag, he chose that. Doubt the Bills go after him, but I wouldn't be upset if they did. Bell could save McD's job. Revamp that OL and we're significantly improved. Once again, doubt they do that but I would. Tell Shady to take a pay cut and sign Bell, that would be the best backfield in the NFL and our offense would be good. Combine that with an improved defense and we're in the playoffs.
  22. Foster can be a respectable #3, I think. He's nowhere close to that now but I think he can get there if he works at it.
  23. I can put up with talented headcases like OBJ and Terrell Owens but I cannot put up with headcases like Kelvin Benjamin. The juice isn't worth the squeeze.
  24. He's been great. He hasn't been asked to pass rush, they've used him as a run stuffer exclusively and he has done so at an elite level. Notice how KW has benefitted from him. Good signing.
  25. True. And I knew 2017 was going to be rough, that's the way it goes for rookie WRs. To be expected. His stats were typical of a rookie.
