  1. He is an average DT, but a very smart player who occasionally makes some clutch plays. He has no business being a starter though.
  2. Agree. He's too young to be at MLB, intellectually he cannot handle it and I question his build for that position. He's built like a 3-4 OLB, not a MLB. He is way out of position. They need to let him stick his hand in the ground attack, blitz, shoot gaps and cover these big ass TEs you see in the NFL today.
  3. I disagree. Defense is missing a few pieces and for the most part we've been good. We need one of these DTs coming out, we need a corner and we need a true MLB. If our offense could actually put up some points and force teams to throw on us more I like our chances with Hyde, Poyer and White.
  4. Like you said, plug him in at DE in obvious passing situations and bump him outside in 3 LB sets, move him all over. Hughes and Edmunds coming off the edge on 3rd down will get QBs killed.
  5. I'm right there with ya. I think the key is to simplify Edmunds' responsibilities, make his job as straight forward as possible. He is not a MLB, it's just not who he is. He'd probably be a vast upgrade over Lorax though.
  6. How do you like Edmunds as an EDGE? Do you think he can take over for Lorax? If he could just add another 10lbs he could be a nightmare for QBs. This is just speculation of course. Do you think he is simply out of position? Where do you think he should line up?
  7. I'm not so sure about that, maybe he has good hands but he's too slow at this point to make an impact as a receiver. Perhaps I'm projecting my desires on what I think should happen instead of what in all actuality will happen, I don't know. Because he is making elite RB money when he is barely a #2 if you can even call him that. Either way, he is either not a fit in this offense or he will be out of the league in 2 years, it's hard to say. Regardless, it's time to move on. We can sign two solid RBs with that salary.
  8. Foster is Allen's favorite target and could ultimately develop into an electrifying #2, it would take a 2nd for me. Too much potential to dump for a measly 5th round pick, get out of here lol. Dawkins needs to go inside and I think if that were to happen fans would be a lot more supportive. He has value as a LG.
  9. Foster is averaging over 20 per catch, a 3rd wouldn't get it done for me. Dawkins otoh is a starting LT and probably an above average LG. A 2nd wouldn't do it for me.
  10. Dion Dawkins and Robert Foster have value. It would take a 1st in my mind for us to let Dawkins go. Average LT, above average G. Foster's value is unclear, maybe he's worth a 2nd, I certainly wouldn't trade him for a 3rd. We got some value on offense, there's a couple guys.
  11. Edmunds has more in common with Manny Lawson and Terrell Suggs than he does with Posluszny and Wagner. Guy is great in coverage, very good actually and I think he has untapped potential as a pass rusher. We need a pass rush, draft or sign a true MLB and send Edmunds after the QB. He actually has so much more value there. Put him in a position where he doesn't have to think so much and he can play faster. I actually think Edmunds is a better prospect than Josh Allen DE/OLB and he's viewed as a top 10 prospect. Edmunds absolutely can be an important cog in our defense and I understand why he was put at MLB and it may be a good thing, he essentially got a crash course on defense, put him outside and he will be all caught up mentally.
  12. Problem is he is only 20 and he is playing the most intellectually demanding position on defense. He's going up against players that are more developed than him both physically and mentally. Maybe in the future he can be a MLB but honestly from a sheer physicality standpoint I don't think his skill set is suited for that spot, he's not instinctive enough. He is not a stuffer, he is better suited in coverage and maybe using his length to come off that edge, he would be a perfect replacement for LORAX.
  13. I don't think he's a bust, not in the slightest, I just think he's out of position. Play him at OLB and in certain scenarios use him as an EDGE. If he can thrive in that role I have no qualms about where we drafted him. He has tremendous value in that role, maybe even more value actually.
  14. He would have to take a 5m pay cut for me to want him back. If Shady makes 4m/yr I'd keep him around, but at this stage he is a #2 at best. He's making too much money.
  15. I never said he was good today, read the entire thread. I said he's been good this season, today he was bad. That's my position.
  16. Who said he's getting paid? He'll get under 5m for sure, probably 4 something. Same for Yeldon. Coleman was #56 on PFF last I checked, Yeldon was right behind him.
  17. You are right, he did not, my bad. He has gotten pretty close though and can easily get you 1k all purpose yards, Yeldon too.
  18. Yeah but Coleman can catch. Yeldon can catch too. Both can get you 1k on the ground, Coleman has done so before.
  19. I want Tevin Coleman and TJ Yeldon in FA, let them share the load. Probably cost 3-4 million less than we're paying now. A two back system is the way to go.
  20. That can change though. Brady is done, Belichick is probably out the door soon so that leaves Josh McDaniels and a Bradyless team versus Josh Allen and Sean McDermott. Allen wont be a rookie forever. No QB in sight for NE in the 2019 draft they're all garbage. Frankly I don't think their situation is as desirable as ours.
  21. Either way, you can find good QBs in the 7th if you draft them enough and to me that's good enough reason to keep drafting ones. Will there ever be another Brady? Maybe not, but if that's the standard we should never draft another QB again. Did they know he'd be that good? No way. But they knew he could be good. That's not luck, that's called being a world class organization and they also nailed that Matt Cassel pick too. That's not luck man.
  22. Not positive about Moon. Either way, if the Bills drafted the next Matt Cassel or Ryan Fitzpatrick in the 6th round that's fantastic. Anything more than that and you are going to really set your team up in a big big way. Bills should draft one every year until we strike gold.
  23. My point is they knew he could be good and they drafted him. Is that really luck? Pretty sure there are several UDFA QBs that were HOF QBs, obviously it's not common but there are droves of good QBs and serviceable ones underneath that upper echelon and the success rate is higher than .10%.
  24. It's not impossible though, it happens occasionally and if you draft them enough you will eventually find a Brady or a Cassel or a Warner. Will you find another Brady? Maybe not, but could we find a Cassel/Fitzpatrick type of QB in the 7th? Absolutely.
  25. It's not luck that they ended up with Brady, they had Bledsoe at the time and even though they had an excellent QB they continued to draft guys deep in the draft. They did it again with Cassel. That's not luck, there's a pattern. Buffalo should draft a guy in the 6th or 7th if they're smart. Sit him on the bench and keep the pipeline loaded.
