No worries, you had a great list initially just thought I’d add some food for thought. -

I know that us Bills fans love football, but how do you begin to measure us against other fanbases collectively?

You can’t go wrong with Franklin here. -
28 Graham Barton IOL | Duke 63 Michael Hall Jr. DL | Ohio State TRADE 94 Jermaine Burton WR | Alabama TRADE 106 Javon Baker WR | UCF TRADE 132 Tykee Smith S | Georgia TRADE 144 Isaac Guerendo RB | Louisville 160 Mason McCormick IOL | South Dakota State 163 Justin Eboigbe DL | Alabama 200 Jalyx Hunt EDGE | Houston Baptist 204 Braiden McGregor EDGE | Michigan 211 Tyrice Knight LB | UTEP TRADE 248 Evan Williams S | Oregon 251 Jaden Crumedy DL | Mississippi State

The way I see this WR class or at least the top 3 tiers Tier 1 Marvin Harrison Jr Malik Nabers Rome Odunze (Buffalo would have to package up two 1st and two 2nds in a blockbuster trade.) Tier 2 Brian Thomas Jr Xavier Legette (BTJ we would have to trade up for by maybe 10-15 picks. Legette should still be there at 28.) NOTICEABLE DROP OFF AT TALENT HERE. Tier 3 Xavier Worthy Troy Franklin Ja’Lynn Polk Jermaine Burton Javon Baker Ricky Pearsall (These are the guys I like, feel free to add your own.) If it were me, I would see three viable options 1.) Wow somebody away in the top 15-20 picks for Brian Thomas Jr.. maybe a 2024 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th and a 2025 3rd. 2.) Stay put and hope that Xavier Legette is there. 3.) Trade down/stay put and double dip and draft two “good” WRs in the third tier. Yes we would lack a true #1 but we would have multiple good options/weapons for Josh Alllen.

@billsfan89 @Dr. Who @nosejob As far as targets go, Cover 1 has a video on this very topic tonight at 7PM on YouTube, make sure you guys check them out, they do a great job over there!

Me too. I wonder if we could get a 3rd for him.

16 Brian Thomas Jr. WR | LSU (TRADE #28, #128, #160 + 2025 3rd for #16 overall) 62 Kris Jenkins DL | Michigan 113 Javon Baker WR | UCF 130 DeWayne Carter DL | Duke 133 Malik Mustapha S | Wake Forest 144 Tykee Smith S | Georgia 163 Jarrian Jones CB | Florida State 165 Dwight McGlothern CB | Arkansas 200 Walter Rouse OT | Oklahoma 204 Cedric Johnson EDGE | Mississippi *traded from #60 down to #62 for a few picks.

Oh, absolutely. Especially if we could get BTJ for 28 and maybe our 4th and 5th and maybe our 3rd next year, I’d feel a lot better about it if the compensation is right. Ideally we hang onto all three of our 2nds.
-
If you’re Beane, please just take your guy at 28. Don’t get cute. I don’t care if it’s BTJ or Legette, reach 10-15 spots if you have to, this Draft is too good not to.
-
I love Legette if we stay put. Kid has crazy upside as a true #1 WR. He almost reminds me of Eric Moulds a bit, if not a lot….. Also, I would be pumped if we somehow landed BTJ. Especially if we could hang onto our 2nd round picks and maybe give up a 3rd next year along with some mid round picks… That’s where I’m at now going into the draft. I want BTJ or Legette. Preferably BTJ depending on compensation!
-
Marino was talking about this on his show today. I love him, great guy, but I could not disagree more. He says we may not go WR in RD1 and he was making a case that we don’t go WR until RD 2-4. You have my word, if we take Cooper DeJean or some other position that is not WR I will lose it.
-
Don’t forget that Beane traded our #1 WR while taking a $30M cap hit. He has a lot of skin on the line. If he doesn’t deliver, he could be in deep dog doo doo.
-
Everyone talks about MHJ but Nabers is as good as any prospect that I’ve seen over the last five years, but as good as he is, I can’t justify giving up that much for him. I’d rather we stay put, trade down or trade up in the 2nd round. Only a QB is worth that much capital.
-
I doubt this will happen it’s so unrealistic but what the heck.. 50 Troy Franklin WR | Oregon TRADE 53 Xavier Legette WR | South Carolina TRADE 60 Patrick Paul OT | Houston 102 Calen Bullock S | USC TRADE 109 Dominick Puni IOL | Kansas TRADE 160 Jarrian Jones CB | Florida State 163 Tykee Smith S | Georgia 171 Jordan Jefferson DL | LSU TRADE 200 Dwight McGlothern CB | Arkansas 204 Gabe Hall DL | Baylor 248 Keith Randolph Jr. DL | Illinois

Don’t mind me, I’m just a “bro scout” at best but wouldn’t it make sense to double down on WR at 28 and 60? This is a very nice class. What other holes do we have?
-
Oh, absolutely. If you have a good GM like Brandon Beane you can find good players everywhere. I just think that in: RDs 1-2 you should be getting an above average starter. RDs 3-5 A player that may develop into a starter. and RDs 6-7 STs player, backup, TC fodder. There’s exceptions to every rule though like you said. I’m just saying that by the time you get to RDs 5-7, mostly everything has been picked over at that point.
-
For me, I look at size, production and athletic ability via combine and pro days. Then I look at tape. I take the Bill Parcell’s approach to the Draft, but then again, I’m just a passionate fan and not a professional, but I know enough to have an opinion on some things.
-
Once you get to the 5th round and beyond it’s like finding a needle in a haystack. The top 50-64 picks are where your premium players are.
-
This is where I disagree. Beane made a power play by trading Diggs away and eating up all that cap space. He better deliver the goods and not come up empty handed. The pressure is on.

Who is the best #14 in Bills history?
ghostwriter replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fitzmagic baby! -
I mean, this is a crazy heavy draft at WR, why take on all that money that comes with a Jefferson or Lamb? Beane already paid Diggs $30M to not be on the roster this year, I’d hate to see Beane try and sell this one to Pegula.
-
Why not draft two young players on the cheap? Would you rather we pay Jefferson big money or draft two “good” players with high ceilings on cost controlled contracts? We already did this same very thing with Diggs. Allen with two of either Legette, Worthy, Franklin, Pearsall, Polk or Burton is a very scary thought. Lets get our very own Jefferson on a rookie contract.

28 Troy Franklin WR | Oregon 36 Ricky Pearsall WR | Florida TRADE 104 Cole Bishop S | Utah TRADE 133 Tykee Smith S | Georgia 163 Justin Eboigbe DL | Alabama 200 Dwight McGlothern CB | Arkansas 204 Khristian Boyd DL | Northern Iowa 248 Nathaniel Watson LB | Mississippi State
