There’s so many question marks at this point. How will Coleman fare? Will Kincaid take a step forward? How will McGovern do at center? Will Von rebound? Will Shakir take a step forward? Will Knox rebound? How will our running game do? The Bills have lots of young talent, we’ll see which players step up.

How close is Allen to Mahomes if all things were equal?
ghostwriter replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
As of right now I’d say that Mahomes is the better QB by just a little, but I’d argue that Josh Allen hasn’t reached his full potential yet, which is a scary thought. -
Let James Cook play out his rookie deal and then franchise tag him for 1 more year and then let him walk. Extend Spencer Brown if he plays lights out again and stays healthy. Extend Rousseau to a similar contract as Epenesa. Let Knox walk. Too early to tell whether or not Shakir is worth it or not.

FA All Star: Curtis Samuel. He makes the pro bowl this year. Sleeper: Claypool. I doubt he makes the pro bowl or has a yar like Samuel, but if he puts it together he could be a great chain moving target/RZ target. Dud: not really seeing anyone I dislike in terms of the FA signings. FA All Star: Curtis Samuel. He makes the pro bowl this year. Sleeper: Claypool. Raiders HC Antonio Pierce faces civil judgements totaling 28 million

One of the greatest lessons I ever learned as a man is to never put your money into something you don’t understand. -
Sometimes there’s things off the field that cause a player to decline. Alcohol, drugs, a death in the family and so on and so on. Factors that us fans cannot see.

Pretty soon Bill’s 32 year old son will be calling this 24 year old woman “mommy”.

Good for him, football is a dangerous sport, I hope he makes a lot of money, the owners are.

There’s a Rich Eisen joke in here too somewhere.

How do you feel about the Bills upcoming team/schedule?
ghostwriter replied to Gman10's topic in The Stadium Wall
I feel great about the Bills. The Bills replaced a bunch of old and overpriced players and replaced them with young and cheap players on rookie contracts. (we have a motherload of draft picks for 2025 too) -
Thank you.
-
Somebody correct me if I’m wrong but that means that our 2025 picks are: 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7 Whew, doggy. Beane is killing it.

This Will Be The Make Or Break Year For This Regime
ghostwriter replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh how quickly we forget the 7-9 years of Ralph Wilson and Dick Jauron. Under McD/Beane they’ve built a perennial winner. How quickly we forget how McD broke the 17 year playoff in his first season here with Tyrod Taylor as his QB. Beane is also one of the better GMs in team history. Don’t forget how he aggressively traded up for Josh Allen in the 2018 draft, effectively blessing this team with one of our most talented players in team history at a crucial position. Did we lose some quality players? Yes, but be more specific. Was it the 34 year old Hyde? Or the 33 year old Poyer? The 32 year old Morse? Which players? Be more specific. Sure we’re in a bad spot cap wise, but that’s because we had to remove cancers from our team like Stefon Diggs, essentially forcing us to eat $33M in dead cap. The way I see it, Beane has stocked this team up with young, cheap talent which will alleviate any cap issues in the future. I understand that many are upset that we didn’t double dip at WR, but had we did double dip, it would have had to of been done really early to expect a meaningful impact. Would the outcome have been any different if we took Joe Schmo in RD4 than that of Justin Shorter that we took a year prior? In closing @H2o my brother, don’t forget to make a gratitude statement or at the very least acknowledge the good that Mr. Pegula, Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott have done for this franchise. Beane had arguably his best draft here outside of the 2018 Draft in which he took Josh Allen and do keep in mind that we have a flurry of picks stockpiled for next year (1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7). -
A #1 WR is someone who makes plays when you need them and the game is on the line.

Rd 5, Pick 168: Edge Javon Solomon, Troy

Solomon reminds me of Lorax for some reason. Maybe I’ll start calling him Baby Lorax from here on out. -
Fact vs Fiction: "Keon Coleman is not a separator"
ghostwriter replied to ShakAttack's topic in The Stadium Wall
Change of direction is arguably more important than straight line speed, especially with JA17 as your QB. Keon has great body control, which will likely be how he creates separation in the NFL. With his wingspan all Josh needs to do is throw the ball to the opposite side of the DB and let Keon edge them out. For the record, I’m not saying that Keon will be a good WR and I’m certainly not saying that he’ll be a bad one, this is simply how I see his “game” translating to the NFL. -
This Bishop kid will pair nicely with Rapp, although I’m sure that Edward’s will fill in occasionally too. They both can play in the box, which I love.

Rd 5, Pick 141: C Sedrick Van Pran-Granger
ghostwriter replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why is he limited to Center? Isn’t OG easier to play? -
This is Josh Allen’s team now. Before we had other leaders on the team: Hyde, Poyer, Morse and Diggs, so on.. Problem was is that these guys are all making a lot of money and they’re on the wrong side of 30. Beane essentially drafted 10-11 young guys making $300k/yr to replace them with rather than paying expensive FAs $6M/yr to do the same job. We have young, cheap depth for miles and miles now and our cap is well under control. I do think that we added some nice starting quality pieces as well, but only time will tell..
-
Nope, I’m not smarter than our GM. I hold Beane in high regards. He’s probably our best GM all time outside of Bill Polian.

He added three OL as well. If even one of those guys step up this line is set. A good draft overall, we have quality depth all over the place now.

I’d give Beane a B+ for this draft. I think overall he added a lot of nice, cheap, quality depth to this team, but did he add any quality game changers to this team like MHJ, Nabers or Odunze? I’m not saying he did, but I’m not saying he didn’t either. Beane essentially cut a bunch of old and overpriced players from the roster and added a bunch of youth. Well done, imo.
