Rd 5, Pick 167: QB Jake Fromm, Georgia
ghostwriter replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It happens. I had a 2nd round grade on him. He’s accurate and while he doesn’t have a cannon he can still hit those 10 - 20 - 30yd throws with ease which happens to make up a large part of being an NFL QB. Calling him Peterman though? Why? Peterman was the worst QB to ever suit up for the Bills. That level of pessimistic negativity is unwarranted simply because they were both drafted in the 5th round. Give the kid a chance. -

Oh, yeah? Did Tom Brady not beat out Drew Bledsoe? I’m a big supporter of Josh Allen but Jake Fromm was of tremendous value in the 5th. He should have been a 2nd round pick. Reminds me a lot of Andy Dalton. He could absolutely develop into a quality QB and if Josh Allen takes a step backwards you’ll probably be hearing a lot from Fromm. I don’t think that’ll happen but the Peterman comparisons are lazy. Fromm is by far a better prospect. His arm is better and can make all the throws. Will he challenge Allen? Doubt it. Allen has way too good an arm and way too much God given ability as a runner to not be a starting QB in this league but Fromm is a quality prospect. Peterman comparisons piss me off. -

Draft Day Winners Going Into Day 3
ghostwriter replied to ghostwriter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I say potential because I think he has room for growth. Like 100 receptions per year kind of potential. He had a few years where he caught 60~ catches in Minnesota, I think that’s impossible here. Diggs can enter that top 2-3 echelon of WRs, in Minnesota he may have been top 7-8. -

Stefon Diggs has star potential. -
I think the Panthers have done well. Derrick Brown, Yetur Gross Matos and Jeremy Chinn. And I really hate to say this because I hate the Cowboys but they got Lamb, Diggs and Gallimore. Another A+ draft. I think Buffalo had a great draft too, right up there with the teams mentioned above. Stefon Diggs, AJ Epenesa and Zack Moss is an absurd assortment of talent. We essentially got ourselves a top 7-8 WR and a potential Pro Bowl DE who should have went in the middle of RD1. Moss looks like a good player that can shoulder the load with Singletary and would likely be a starter on quite a few teams around the NFL. I think if I had to grade/rank my top 3 draft winners so far it’d be: 1. Buffalo 2. Dallas 3. Carolina Those three teams really helped themselves out quite a bit.

RD 2, Pick 54: DE AJ Epenesa, University of Iowa

A 2nd round grade is a 2nd round grade. I’d say players taken between RDS1-3 should be starting caliber and if you’re a good GM you can find starters/role players in the 4th. As far as having a let down season is concerned he still logged 11.5 sacks. Epenesa has the talent to be a 10 or 12 sack per year kind of guy. He has a great bull rush and I value that higher than speed and finesse moves. Epenesa should have been taken in the 1st. -

Nahhhhhh. You take Epenesa there. Epenesa should have gone in the 18-22 range. He has Pro Bowl talent at DE. The fact that he was available at 54 is unreal. Had any of us fans mocked Epenesa to us at 54 we would have been laughed at, mocked and ridiculed and maybe even accused of having a bit too much to drink. Epenesa at 54 is a highway robbery in every sense of the word. There is no other option at 54. Epenesa is 10000000000000.0000000% the right pick there. -

☕️ ☕️ ☕️ I could not be any more pleased with the way this draft is going. Epenesa and Moss are incredible upgrades to this team. Both of them will have an immediate impact day 1. I like that Epenesa is a power guy. I value a good bull rush over a finesse guy any day. Collapse the pocket, get to the QB and shut down the run at the same time. Zack Moss is the ideal backup to Singletary, he should start quite a few games for us over the next few years in the event that Singletary gets dinged up or pulls a hammy. Buffalo is now set at RB for the foreseeable future. Moss adds a lot of power and wiggle. Not a lot of breakaway speed but has a lot of short area quickness and power. Fan favorite. So far I’m giving Beane an A+. This guys drafts are magical. So help me God, Pegula better not ever let Beane leave Buffalo. This guys talent as an evaluator is special and he is quickly becoming one of the very best GMs in the NFL. Unreal first two rounds. -

Okay @Lurker, you killed me with that, good job! HAHAHA! -
Ok, it’s really early in the morning for me ☕️ ☕️ ☕️ but I’ll give it a try. He’s a good player. The Dolphins got a good one. I actually really like Burrow, Tua and Herbert as I think this is actually a very good draft class for QBs. I thought Tua shoulda went #2 overall so I think Miami did well here. He’s going to a team that is neglect of talent though and I don’t think Miami has the FO and coaching staff to threaten the Bills. Tua is very decent though. Sit him on the bench behind Fitzpatrick for a year n let him learn and his body heal up. Should be a good player for a long time. I thought the rest of their draft sucked though.

I know how that goes.

Beane has traded up 5 times in 2 drafts.
ghostwriter replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m a big fan of trading up in the 3rd, 4th and 5th round as little compensation is necessary to go up. In the 1st or 2nd round you’re talking blockbuster trades and mucho dinero. I prefer the former, but if a good QB is available, sometimes it’s unavoidable. Neither is bad if you know what you’re doing but RDS 3-7 is a bullish market. -
Did he not get embarrassed at the Senior Bowl?

With the 1035675435th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft the Washington Redskins select Kenny Willekes, DE/OLB, Michigan State. Ideally I’d like to have selected a CB a T or a MLB here, but unfortunately it’s bare cupboards at this point. Redskins missed out on Chase Young but were fortunate enough to land Alton Robinson and Kenny Willekes in the 4th round. Willekes and Robinson join LB/DE Ryan Kerrigan and would provide the Redskins with a promising pass rush, good if not dominant. Could easily see a top 8-10 unit within a year or two. How is he still on the board? ?✌️ -

Tough crowd. Be grateful I didn’t take Rodrigo Blankenship #2 overall. I hear he has good kickoff hang time very rarely misses his kicks.
