How long til he gets sued?
-
I believe in forgiveness for first time offenders, harsher treatment for repeat offenders. Kid is 23 years old, there’s no hard drugs in the car, reduce it to a DUI. Only time I believe in extensive jail time is if that person has a problem and they need that time to sober up in the slammer. Some folks need that 6 months in jail otherwise they’ll never get sober.
-
Many cops will tell you to go right home if they catch you or to get a Uber. When I was 19 I got stopped and a cop told me to go right home, he was cool about it. From their POV though they’re trying to see if there’s any hard drugs in the car, so if they catch someone driving under the influence their main course of action is trying to find heroin, meth, pills etc. I’m kind of torn on this because some folks can only sober up if they’re in jail for 6 months on drug charges. Most DWIs will get reduced to a DUI if only alcohol is involved. Once again though they’re mainly trying to find the hard stuff.

Anybody want to go on record about Josh?
ghostwriter replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He’ll probably flounder around as a top 10 QB for a year or two before he taps into his true potential. He came into the league as a really raw prospect and rough around the edges so in my mind I think he’ll be a late bloomer. May take him awhile intellectually to catch up with his God given ability. I perceive that he’ll be a top 5-6 QB eventually, may take a few years for him though. He’ll need a good defense and running game behind him to make him successful in the meanwhile. By the time he receives his next contract I think the rubber will have long since met road and things will have already started to come together for Josh Allen. Strikes me as a John Elway type of talent in Rob Gronkowski’s body. Looks like we’re building a good team around him. He needs to build up confidence though in his game, his humility will carry him far, just needs some experience and successes that he can build off of mentally as a QB. I think he’ll go down as the best QB in the 2018 NFL Draft, ahead of Darnold and Mayfield. Truly a special talent that many teams wished they hadn’t passed on. As fans we need to have patience with Josh Allen, it takes time to develop a franchise QB. -
Thank you much, sir. I appreciate that. He’s still a kid in many ways to me, 23 is still quite young, he’s still a baby mentally. Once again, somebody should tap him on the shoulder and let him know, hey, do you want to make veteran minimum or maybe get a $100 million dollar contract? Alcohol and drugs will rob this man of his potential. Alcohol goes down smoothly but it bites like a serpent.
-
I was 23 once too. I get it. I’m not ready to crucify the guy but somebody should aware him on what drugs and alcohol can do to your life. I have 3 years sober on the 19th, wish I never touched the stuff at all. Can be the difference between him getting the veteran minimum with his next contract or him making $20 million a year, choice is his to make.

Who will win starting jobs at these positions?

I think Singletary beats out Moss. Addison wins the job initially but Epenesa wins it by the end of the year. -
Aaron Rodgers speaking to reporters Friday

I don’t think you trade Rodgers if you’re Green Bay.. You squeeze another 3 or 4 years out of Rodgers and bench Love until he’s ready. Personally, I think Green Bay really flubbed the dub on Love, I don’t think he’ll be a good QB even if he spends 5 years on the bench. I side with Rodgers, I think their draft sucked. Outside of AJ Dillon their draft is like a Doug Whaley draft. I don’t have faith in their coaching staff neither. Rodgers is an elite QB and the fact that they could only squeeze out one ring out of him is perplexing to me. If I were him I’d look to be traded. They won’t though.. Without Rodgers they’re a 5 win team. I don’t like how that franchise is run, they’ve done well in terms of finding QBs but have never been serious about building a roster around them. I don’t think Green Bay is committed to winning. Once again, without Favre and Rodgers they’re equivalent to the Ralph Wilson Buffalo Bills. -
Zack Moss runs a 4.52 40 yard dash
ghostwriter replied to Awwufelloff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t think that he’ll ever beat out Singletary as the primary back, but I don’t think he’ll disappoint as the secondary back either. Buffalo has a very deep backfield, Moss would start on many teams around the NFL, we’re very deep at RB. -
I think it looks cool.

Convince me that the 2020 Pats are good...

They did go 11-5 with Matt Cassel so I wouldn’t count out Jarrett Stidham. Could be looking at Brian Hoyer early on to start the year and Stidham gets a shot later on in the season. The Patriots developed a slew of QBs outside of Tom Brady including Matt Cassel, Jimmy Garropolo and Jacoby Brissett but they’ve also missed on others such as Danny Etling, Ryan Mallett and Kevin O’Connell. So it remains to be seen as far as what kind of QB Jarrett Stidham is. The Patriots also boast the best coach to ever grace the game. Belichick and the Patriots have done well without Tom Brady when injured in the past. They’ve also developed decent QBs outside of Brady as mentioned up above. I will also say that the Patriots first three picks were rock solid. Dugger, Uche and Jennings will all be elite players in Belichick’s system. Not sure about the rest of their draft but Belichick certainly made that defense a lot better which is scary because their secondary is already one of the best in the NFL. In closing. I think the Bills and the Patriots will battle tooth and nail for the divisional crown. The Patriots will not bottom out, their defense and coaching staff is too good for that and they have a nifty running attack behind a solid OL. I think 10 wins is not out of the question for New England, Buffalo will need 10-12 wins to win the division. I don’t think Stidham will be the guy but I think he’ll fit their system well and New England will likely go QB next year. The Jets and Dolphins will be non-factors. -
How McDermott and Frazier confuse offenses
ghostwriter replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t Palms/Quarter coverage/Cover 4/Cover 6 vulnerable against the run? Seems like a great package in obvious passing situations as our secondary can sit back and ball hawk but running teams can punish us on the ground and if that happens enough then they can start moving the ball on us via play action. We were still ranked 10th in rushing yards though so clearly Frazier/McD do a great job in getting our defense in the right formations. So I’d say quarters is a nice package to run in a passing league but will likely not be used as frequently against the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans of the world. -
Who’s on the Buffalo Bills Mt Rushmore?
ghostwriter replied to JetsFan20's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can’t have a Mount Rushmore without a Mount Bustmore, it’s only fair. Maybe Dick Jauron sneaks in as coach? -
I think for the most part as of right now, it’s not who Josh Allen is, it’s who we think he will be. Some folks say that accuracy cannot be addressed and I think that’s true when arm strength is an issue and QBs can’t get the ball there cause they lack mustard but Josh Allen has enough juice to make even the hardest throw. It’s not just that though but Allen also has the determination of John Elway when it comes to putting his body on the line. That shows in his rushing TD totals, he had 9 last year and 8 the year before. He really reminds me of a slightly smaller but more athletic Rob Gronkowski out there. In goal line situations Josh Allen can kill ya with the option play. Fast enough to get to the pylon, big enough to run over a LB in the middle on a QB sneak. This sets up lots of easy TD throws to WRs on the goal line because defenders are caught in the middle when they have to decide whether or not they want to give up a rushing TD or a passing TD. I think if I had to make a QB comparison I’d say he’s a bigger John Elway with way more running ability and athleticism. He’s essentially Rob Gronkowski with Elway’s arm. Once again though, it’s not who he is, it’s who he will be.

Although I think the Mosley injury was brought on by the Bills play calling. They were really overworking him and made him move around quite a bit and I think eventually his body started to break down. It was a groin injury correct? -
