I understand why you feel that way and it makes sense... both Hughes and Addison can get us 10 sacks a piece, I get it... just thought Yannick and Epenesa would be a potentially elite pass rush for years to come.. but I get why you feel that way....and more importantly Beane agrees with you too, so I’ll shut up now.

I’m seeing 12+ wins for this team...
ghostwriter replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we’d get smooshed against the Chiefs if we meet in the playoffs...but I do think we could beat the Ravens or 49ers if we meet them in the playoffs.. I would say that 12 wins is a possibility.. not saying we’ll get 12 wins but I don’t think you’re crazy for implying it... not that far fetched at all.. should at least get 11 wins.. I think 10 wins would be underwhelming if that’s all we get.. hopefully 12+ wins! ? -
Figuring out the OL depth chart
ghostwriter replied to First Round Bust's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ford will be at RG.. Williams will be at RT.. Winters will likely be the backup LG/RG.. Nsekhe will backup LT and RT.. Evan Boehm will likely be the backup center.. at least so I think.. -
I think fondly of both of them... Tyrod is a great game managing QB... he arguably had a better skill set than Fitz... people liked Fitz more because he was a gunslinger and liked to air it out.. Tyrod was ultra conservative..I do think Tyrod would win you more game than Fitz because of consistency....Fitz was wildly inconsistent....one game he would play like a top 10 QB, then the next he’d play like a bottom 32... Fitz’s number 1 downfall through his entire career was consistency...Tyrod was more steady....I pick Tyrod in terms of winning football games...not as entertaining...but steady..

I think we missed an opportunity here.. Would have been nice to have him opposite of Epenesa for the next 5-6 years... A 2nd and a 5th ain’t much for a perennial 10 sack a year DE... but Beane knows more than I.... I trust the process.. DE will probably be a high priority position for us in next year’s draft...

Will Beane make a trade before cuts?

I wonder what it’d take to get Yannick from the Jaguars? -
16 practice squad spots

How often do PS players work out? Can’t remember one who has turned out to be something.. -
I think Diggs and Allen are going to abuse secondaries.. Diggs has really quick twitch route running ability in those short/intermediate routes which Allen fortunately is very accurate and decisive when it comes to getting the ball to.. Wouldn’t surprise me to see Diggs with 100 catches.. I think Diggs will prove to be a top 5 receiver in Buffalo... he is only 26 years old, could play another 5-6 years at a high level.. don’t see Diggs catching Andre but it wouldn’t surprise me to see him overtake Eric Moulds or Lee Evans on our all-time receiving list..

Ngakoue Watch is officially on!
ghostwriter replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I absolutely think Ngakoue is worth trading for.... but how much? I think a 2nd is about the max I’d offer... similar to what the Texans got for Clowney in their trade with Seattle... Ngakoue + Epenesa would solidify our bookend situation for the next 5-10 years.. we are in WIN now mode, I think a trade here should be explored.. I’d offer our 2nd but I wouldn’t offer more than that.... plus our 2nd will likely be at the bottom of the 2nd round so I doubt we’d be able to draft a better player than Ngakoue there... I’m all for a trade here, this team is ready to make a deep deep deep playoff push now.. do it.. -
Barkley ranked 23rd best backup by PFF
ghostwriter replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Barkley is a better QB than most people realize.... I could see him as high as 15 and as low as 22... He plays loose and I like that... knows the playbook...can air it out... not the strongest arm but is smart and good to have in the QB room.. high character guy, helped Josh out a lot...will definitely help Fromm out a lot too... From has a higher ceiling than Barkley..between our current QBs collectively, I think we’re in a good spot.. -
Rd 4, Pick 128: WR Gabriel Davis UCF
ghostwriter replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mmmmm I don’t think touches will be hard to come by for Davis.. Diggs, Brown and Beasley will occasionally need some air.. he’s essentially the main backup to all three.. then you have to factor in that we’ll be running a lot of 4 WR sets...he’ll get quite a bit of time out there... -
I think we all think fondly of the Pegulas.. I don’t think there is anything wrong with wishing them and their family success.. I think it’s kind of odd to treat them coldly when they’ve done so much for us.. odd post all the way around..

O, mighty one. I’m sure all 27,000 of your posts are just pure gold.. Bow down to your 13,000 reputation points. He explained something that I was not familiar with and I thanked him for it. Many others had no idea how the Browns ended up with Weaver. ? -

Whatever happened to social etiquette? Seems like ever since Donald Dump took office we have a country full of 5th graders who spout schoolyard taunts in every which way.. I threw no dirt your way, why start a fight with me? It ain’t science. At least pretend to be a decent human being.. -

Rd 4, Pick 128: WR Gabriel Davis UCF
ghostwriter replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe all the hype and all the reports.. I think Gabe Davis will lock down that #2 spot opposite of Diggs for the foreseeable future.. but I’m not willing to discount the importance of John Brown and Cole Beasley.. looks like Beane did good, real good..... plenty of targets for Josh Allen, who by all accounts is having a tremendous camp himself.. -
I meant TY Hilton. Doh!
-
Some may have thought that Gabe Davis would be a long shot to have an impact on this team because of the veterans we have in place and because he was taken in the 4th round... but look at DeAndre Hopkins or our very own in Stefon Diggs... doesn’t happen a lot but it does happen... looks like we may have found the next hidden gem in this years draft class...
-
He sure does.

Checking in on Jets: O-Line and WRs STRUGGLING
ghostwriter replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It really makes you appreciate what McDermott and Beane have done. Thankfully the Bills have world class ownership. -
Very true, very true.. Gabe Davis seems to be blowing up so far in camp.. Good problem to have, good problem to have.. Looks like we got 4 starting caliber WRs.. It certainly could happen, I wouldn’t rule that out.. I think it’ll be: Diggs Brown Beasley Davis Roberts McKenzie Hodgins I think we keep 7. Hodgins should not go on the PS.. he’ll get scooped up.. we have to shield him from that.. he’ll probably be a healthy scratch each week.. he’s surprisingly had a pretty encouraging camp so far.. and I think he is a better prospect than Duke Williams.. 5 years younger and on a dirt cheap contract.. McKenzie is the obligatory trick play/gadget play master.. still young enough to groom, cheap contract.. Roberts has too much value as a return man to not make the roster... he is head and shoulders the best return man on the roster and probably the best STs player we have in general..
-
It’ll probably happen eventually but by that time Beezer will be an old geezer.. Diggs and Davis are the future..

[Misleading Title] Mr Negativity
ghostwriter replied to WIDE LEFT's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What if a player gets sick though and the entire team gets it? Not saying it’ll happen but it could.. corona is a nasty virus but the whole entire world shouldn’t stop because of it.. players had their chance to opt out and some did.. but if we keep shutting things down to save .01% of the population it’s going to wreck our economy.. how long until we enter a situation like the Great Depression?...
