  1. We have ton of talent and the defense is playing better but if we are going to run a finesse offense that throws the ball 95 percent of the time we will get figured out. Possibly we are already figured out. I still don't have much confidence in the o-lines ability to win in the trenches.
  2. Singletary and Moss should be looking forward to playing the Jets. It'll be their night to shine.
  3. Shaq with some wheels catching Wentz. He was a solid DE here.
  4. Excellent write up but if I could spin my own angle on "the play". Agree or disagree about going for it I can also see why they might try to keep the ball in their hands and decide there own fate right then and there. My issue is why would we relegate that 4th down to a sneak. Why try to sneak 1/2 a yard to get a first. We were only three yards from the end zone. If you are putting all your eggs in one basket why not use the whole field go for a 3 yard TD and let Allen rumble for 1/2 a yard if necessary. Also I've seen plenty of debate on Edwards and I can't speak to how well he plugged the holes and if the runs Henry broke had anything to do with him or not but i will say Edwards hit Henry harder than anyone else and was the one person out there who brought him down where he hit him. Didn't realize Edwards hit that hard.
  5. Thought this was fitting, and hilarious.Darnold is tearing the Texans up. Panthers get up and Davis Mills has to throw every down he's in for a long day.

  7. Given the "greats" on this list I guess Scott Chandler could probably slide in there somewhere. When Clay wasn't injured he was a pretty decent TE.
  8. I can't argue with anyone who wants to see Sanders starting. I can see both sides. I lean toward Davis starting outside but I think Sanders is a great WR. We throw the ball enough there should be plenty of balls to go around.
  9. I'm with Virgil on using Davis over Sanders and in some ways it's like comparing apples to oranges for me. Everywhere Sanders has played he's played out of the slot. If it was who plays the slot Davis or Sanders I wouldn't think twice about it. On the outside though I'd rather start Davis. Considering how much we throw the ball Sanders could be on the field all the time just spelling Beasley or Davis. Seeing how good they were last year I wouldn't mess with that chemistry. Mind you this is all just my opinion and I certainly think Sanders is a great addition but I don't think he should be a replacement for Davis or Beasley.
  10. The Miami game at the end of the 2016 season that probably would have put us in the playoffs. He put us ahead with 1:20 left and the defense choked. Drove us to the Miami 17 in overtime and the kicker choked followed by the defense choking again. All that said QB to QB if I'm going to be in a shoot out I'd rather have Allen but if you have a defense and a running game and no established franchise QB Taylor isn't a bad guy to bring in.
  11. I thought Gruden was busy trying to make a QB out of Peterman?
  12. The bad: 4th down. We were probably 3 punts away from winning. Two 4th downs we probably should have punted and one punt we didn't execute and gave up a TD. I
  13. Our kicker has been so good. If we're inside the 40 I am always confused when we don't just kick it.
  14. I totally agree with almost everything you point out here but I might say that the Texans are a perfect fit for Taylor. Despite the game manager tag Taylor gets he never played better than when Watkins or Goodwin were stretching defenses (when they weren't hurt). I think having Cooks to go deep and Ingram to grind at RB might be the perfect fit for Taylor. I still don't think Taylor is a throw it 50 times a game 4,000 yards and 40 TD's type QB but if the Texans play defense and Ingram and Cooks have a good year Taylor has proven he can win. They might surprise people. Then they'll draft a QB first thing next year.
  15. I'll go one further and say that even being fairly one dimensional, not having a great game plan on offense, if we just didn't turn the ball over on two fourth and 1s and then give up the special teams TD we probably win that game. Basically saying even not playing our best or calling the best game we still probably win if we would have just punted and made the Steelers go a long field and not given up the special teams score.
  16. Taylor doesn't throw for 300 yards a game every week so he has to be trash. All joking aside I love Allen but people never gave Taylor credit for being a decent game manager. Houston could do a lot worse with Watson not playing.
  17. We played defense only and ground out wins into the playoffs with Tyrod Taylor. What we didn't do was make dumb mistakes. We could have ground out a win today if we didn't turn the ball over a handful of times.
  18. I'd also like to say, no offense to Sanders, but our best two outside receivers in my opinion are Davis and Diggs and I might even go next best (at any WR position) is Beasley. I would have had those 3 out there to start.
  19. I didn't necessarily see holding but I also didn't see enough pass interference on White for that call either. I will not disagree with anyone who didn't like some of the calls out there. I just feel like we stilll could have won the game i.e. the refs didn't lose it for us.
  20. What I will say for Singletary is that if you give him a hole he'll give you a decent run. If you have 3 guys penetrating into the backfield he's no better than anyone else. I'm not sure any of the run game problems start with him.
  21. I agree with all of that. Wasn't a fan of the call or the hit in the end zone later on which was clearly early but I don't think it cost us the game.
  22. You only get so many straight up mistakes in a game before playing better doesn't cut it. Up by 7 and turning the ball over on downs twice and then giving up a special teams TD was probably 2 mistakes to many. We didn't play that badly but we did make too many mistakes.
  23. Can't say I'm with you on that call. Offense looked pretty bad and especially the passing game. I'm leaning towards the play calling being the problem but Allen missed a few (he was getting hurried) and there were a number of drops. All in all the defense looked fine, the offense looked off most of the day and the special teams ultimately lost the game. The refs had a few close possibly bad calls but I certainly wouldn't say they decided anything.
  24. Defense is holding the Steelers to a 3 points and we lead by a TD lets give them the ball on downs 2 times in a row and see how the defense likes that. That second 4th and 1 where he threw it backwards was just utter garbage. If you can't run for 1 yard between Singletary or Allen you have problems and barring that we have one of the best groups of receivers in the NFL how the hell can we not get a yard ...... throw it backwards 5 yards and spot the defense 6 yards before the guy even starts running that's how.
