  1. I still think Singletary is our best back but the Bills seldom seem ready to use him so if we are going to pass 60 times a game and run most of the time with everyone spread out we might as well bring in Cook for speed and recieving. As long as he can pass block enough to not get Josh killed I'm ready to give that a try.
  2. Is there something you can do in practice to get your defense to stay on their feet and not fall down all the time.
  3. Talk about not getting the job done.
  4. IF that's a catch we deserve all the bad things that come from it.
  5. They could have called holding on just about every play, kind of surprised they called that one
  6. we don't have any backs that weigh much over 200, might as well put the quickest guy in there we're not pounding the rock anyway.
  7. McKenzie has no situational awareness and Moss is still our worst running back. Put Cook in there.
  8. If this is the play I'm thinking of Dawkins certainly did get smoked but (not that it's an excuse) Holland actually laid a legit DE move on him sweeping Dawkins arm and blowing right by him.
  9. So you want to cherry pick the last two games? His career average is higher than Barkleys so let's cherry pick Barley's 2020 season where he averaged 1.8 for the whole season. See how that works? When you cherry pick your stats you can make up just about anything.
  10. Seems pretty clear to me the tackle got smoked. Cover 1 was even showing how the safety used a hand check on him.
  11. They had Smith before Dillon and won with him. He's been better any time they've dedicated themselves to running him more than 7 or 8 times a game. Pure and simple. Hell he was our leading reciever last week or doesn't that not count for anything?
  12. So if I come up with one video of Barkley not making one guy miss he's no longer any good?
  13. So his career average is 4.6 and Motors is 4.7 if you want to compare the bigger picture.
  14. So your picture of a running play with a free runner coming unblocked down the line to stop him in the backfield is evidence that our rushing problems are at the rb position?
  15. That's last year. He was top ten in yards after contact average at 2.3 which was better than Henry or Barkley (1.7 yac) and the year before he averaged 2.9 after contact which was 3rd in the league. Yes I looked at your tweet and I don't see any definitive evidence he has some kind of cutback there. The DE had contain the whole time.
  16. Singletary has bas been top 5 and top ten in yards after contact the last two years. Not sure what you are basing that opinion on. Actually funny enough 2 out of the last 3 years Motor has actually averaged more yards after contact than Allen based on pro football reference.
  17. Good news was that Hart didn't get injured in Miami because he was suspended so thats one less injured OL player this week.
  18. If I thought the solution to our one sided play selection and production had anything to do with the running backs I'd be more inclined to do what it takes to bring in some other talent but I think Singletary is the least used best player possibly on the team and Cook is going to be a huge talent as well. If we called running plays and had any committment to the running game and it's execution I'm sure Singletary and Cook would prove to be very good.
  19. I'm still of the mindset we missed Poyer and Hyde most of all. Rewatching "highlights" and Waddle doesn't catch multiple deep passes and Edmunds doesn't run over a safety if Poyer is in there. Also realized (and was mentioned already) we had two touchdowns by the beginning of the second quarter and ran probably 60 ish plays after that and only scored 3 more points. Both our tackles literally got taken to the cleaners in the first couple of drives one resulted in a fumble and the other we overcame but both were pretty ugly.
  20. Poyer or Hyde then probably Oliver or Phillips. The worst blocking I saw was Brown before he went out and I think we missed Morse but the offense was moving the ball no problem. We drove every time we had the ball. Then we made mistakes. I would like to think that if we had our starting safeties we would have covered enough to let our pass rush get there more often. I think read somewhere we hadn't given up 3 20 yard pass plays in a long time. That's Poyer and Hyde. Tua averaged 10 per attempt.
  21. I certainly wouldn't blame the defense especially with all the injuries but when a team only has 19 minutes of possession and only runs 30 plays yet scores 21 points we didn't exactly shut them down. The offense just kept the ball most of the game. All three phases left points on the field Sunday and that is how you lose games. Probably better to get a taste of that now instead of somewhere down the road.
  22. I would agree with you if not for the fact they ran well less than half the plays we did and scored more points. They had the ball 20 minutes and scored 21 points and the only time we really shut them down was when Bridgewater was in there.
  23. Everything that could have gone wrong did. Every phase of the game had mistakes made. Missed throws, missed kicks, missed blocks, missed catches (defense and offense). The turnover at the beginning of the game that got them in it really hurt. Overall a missed opportunity of a game. Heal up and come back hungry. It's only week three.
  24. The bonus here is that we picked up a 6th round capable starter for zone (which we play most of the time) and and a legit man to man cb just to mess with people. It also seems like they both like to come up and tackle.
  25. You hang 38 points on someone it's hard to blame the QB play. For that reason I'm not sure I entirely buy into Tua. The offense he's in is going to throw it a lot and he'd going to have some stats but I'm not sure he's a winner or if the Ravens defense just isn't up to par.
