  1. Can't say no one. I'm always going to push for us to run the ball. Even when it isn't working you should have more than 2 or 3 carries in a half. I'm not going to complain if they score without running but you become too predictable and Allen will take a beating.
  2. They love showing Dorsey in the booth.
  3. Oh wait we had a run that didn't gain 5 .......... guess we should stop running.
  4. Nice get Diggs going. How about we run the ball a little.
  5. We easily have more drops and penalties than points at this point.
  6. The Jets actually didn't shoot themselves in the foot on that drive with penalties. I'm not upset with the pass rush. They're not dominating but we rush four. If everyone else is in coverage then I expect the coverage to not be so easy to dissect.
  7. We give up a lot of 3rd and longs. Not just this game.
  8. Elam will be fine. Both Elam and Benford looked good at the beginning of the season. By mid season we had a majority of back ups and rookies playing out there and the lack of starters in the system probably affected the rookies production. Going forward I would imagine throwing one rookie in with White and Poyer for support probably fares better than 2 rookies at CB and 2 back up safeties with no Edmunds and a depleeted D line. Physically there are so many pluses with our rookies they just need time in the system and mentoring with our guys who have been doing it.
  9. I mean you're right but tell that to Allen who was hit multiple times from behind before he got strip sacked and thrown on his head.
  10. Rewatching the game. Quesenberry was even worse than I thought. He straight up fell down on one play without even touching a defender and then Uche ran right by him a play later. I haven't gotten to the sack from Uche which I'm sure will again be someone running right by him.
  11. Guys blowing around the corner is definitely a concern. Josh being Josh saves us a lot of the time but guys coming around the corner with barely a hand on them and a full head of steam is not uncommmon and frequently leads to bad things.
  12. I'm going to put on my flame suit here and say Mac Jones doesn't deserve all the flack he's getting. Poor bastard has Matt Patricia as an OC. I'm not saying Mac Jones is championship caliber but he's standing up there begging for a more explosive offense and I'm not sure Patricia or Belichik are capable of coaching that.
  13. Most to the point and simple answer I can give, while White was in the game the Pats did nothing through the air and Mac Jones was running for his life. I think White's knowledge, size, awareness, and ability to be physical without getting a flag all make him a big difference maker.
  14. First half I saw a lot of White. Second half Jackson was playing where White was before. White was looking good.
  15. What I think people don't realize with Edmunds is that in the attacking (vs the run anyways) defense we play that when you do get blocked up or a LB isn't perfect you get chunk runs sometimes. Edmunds is great (so is Milano) and they make great plays most of the time but you will definitely have some snaps where they give up a chunk run. That said they make some great negative plays against the run and on the flip side our pass defense doesn't work anywhere near as well without him.
  16. I was in the 300's but by the third quarter Gillette was probably 40 percent Bill's fans left and by the 4th you could here "Let's go Buffalo" ringing throughout the stadium.
  17. NFL network is replaying it at 3. Going to DVR it and watch it (even though I was at the game )
  18. Major difference is White is back and we can cover long enough for our pass rush to chase QB's. Defense looked like it can stop a team from throwing again. I haven't felt that way in weeks. I saw White out there a lot in the first half and Pats had nothing. I'm not picking on Jackson here but second half 30 was where 27 was and started seeing more plays pop. Edmunds is so big and active run or pass. Having him is huge. I suspected for some time that our pass rush wasn't getting home because QB's always had somewhere to throw the ball. Now they don't and all of a sudden we are chasing QB's around the backfield. Offense is perfecet in my book. Speak softly and carry a big stick. We run the ball, keep the clock running and let Josh make some throws. We get in a dog fight or 2 minute drill then let Josh completely take over.
  19. Just got home from the game. By the time the game ended there were more Bills fans in most sections than Pats fans. Hell by mid 3rd quarter NE fans were leaving in bunches. The defense looked much better. Offense looked solid. Love the lean on the running attack from the last several weeks.
  20. He's missed that at least twice and the one time someone did catch a short one from him for a first it was a fingertip catch and not a great throw.
  21. When did Daboll poach Hodgins off the PS?
  22. The whole "it's not the size of the dog in the fight but instead the fight in the dog thing" is a great cliche but in today's NFL you need a good size dog in that fight. Levi wasn't the fastest but he was still six foot something and could compete on jump balls and stick his nose in on tackles. Jackson seems to know the system and is willing to do whatever it takes but playing as our #1 CB he's outmatched physically almost every week with mostly rookies manning the other side it's not like we can focus on helping any one CB. Add in Edmonds being out and even the middle is suspect. Have to admit it was nice to see Klein out there. He's not Edmonds in coverage but the guy can tackle.
  23. I will say (because I've given the pass D some crap) that our regular (1st 3 quarters) defense was for the most part pretty good. We stopped the run and made some other stops. What scares me is whatever we are doing in the 4th quarter. The fact that it has happened with or without injuries makes me think it largely lies with the coaching.
  24. How about that Chase Claypool trade? He's tearing it up now.
  25. 26 points in the 4th quarter the last two games. Both games we had big leads. I'm not a fan of prevent even when played well. By played well I mean keep everything in front of you and give up small gains to keep the clock running. We play a prevent where we let them drive the field on 3 or 4 plays and give up 15 and 20 yard gains. I get that we have injuries but this is still the NFL and even back ups should be able to play a well coached prevent. I'm actually more worried it's the coaching than the injuries.
