NFL Week #18 - Patriots* @ Bills - 2nd half game thread
Maine-iac replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Our run defense frequently looks good until it doesn't and our pass defense looks like trash and then they make a play. Both cause anxiety. -

Stop them for once and then run the ball down their throats. -

Who wouldn't trade Moss for two kick return TD's vs the Pats. -

Someone is always open. Once upon a time we got coverage sacks. -

I'll never understand why we don't run more. We get stuffed once and pass pass pass. Not a bad half but they need to clean it up and get open faster. Josh is holding the ball a lot and that leads to bad things. -
I'm not sure Clowney is currently that much better than Espenesa and if what the ESPN article says is true and he picks and chooses when he feels like playing he's a coaching nightmare and a little to diva for my liking. Clowney might still be a little more talented than some of our rotation but I'm still not a fan of having him on our roster. He seems like a turd.

I think Motor and Cook are very complimentary. If Singletary left next year I'd love to see someone with some more thump and I'm not talking about another 5'10" 210 pound "power" back. I would like to see them draft a back that's over 225 with a little bit of wiggle so Josh isn't the only short yardage option.

You're right, my fault for looking at ESPN. Didn't remember seeing him show up so when ESPN listed him as out and didn't have the game listed in his game log I assumed he didn't play that game. Guess he just didn't do anything that game. Pro football reference has him listed at 21 snaps. That said Miami has a pretty good LT and that's where Epenesa usually lines up.

He didn't play against Miami. He's had a sack in the last 4 games he played. I'm not saying our other guys can't do it but AJ and Rousseau are the only two ends (outside of Von who's out) who I've seen just blow by a tackle and get the QB. Getting there in clean up and being physical in both the pass rush and run defense is nice but when an end can get around the corner to the QB with the OL barely getting a hand on them that's game changing.

Devin Singletary not scoring a TD with 34 seconds left

For anyone who didn't see it or catch it when I said it before McDermott made it sound like they had talked about this prior to the play. -

I agree. I was screaming at the TV, "what the hell are you doing", and then TD. That said i saw Motor go down and I was like, that makes sense. I get the logic. When you've been beaten multiiple times in the last seconds of games you would rather have the ball in your hands as the last second ticks off. It's essentially an extra point. -

It didn't seem like that when McDermott was interviewed after the game. Maybe I heard it wrong but he seemed like it had been discussed at the very least McDermott seemed quite happy about it. -

You could say Allen shouldn't have let the clock run out before halftime it could have cost us the game but if he doesn't there's no TD. Singletary assured Miami didn't get another possession just like he was coached. If ifs and buts were candy and nuts it would be Christmas every day. -
NFLN Saturday Colts@Vikings Game Thread 12-17-2022
Maine-iac replied to muppy's topic in The Stadium Wall
How many points were we up on the Vikings? 3 scores in the 3rd. Run the ball and play defense. Throwing incompletions and a prevent that gives up multiple TD's is just not the way to do it. -

The point wasn't that Allen had a bad throw. -

I can see why everyone has questions but In terms of translating to the field, if Josh makes a better throw Brown has a TD on the first pass thrown at him vs the Jets. -
Epenesa is right behind him. He hasn't always had many snaps but he seems to have turned the corner and is noticeably better than last year. Still would love to have Miller but I think our pass rush is better than last year even without him.
