Any game AJE has had 43 percent of the snaps or more he's had a sack. He usually plays the side Lawson plays and Lawson typically gets 50 percent or more of the snaps so they must be looking for the run defense from that position and consider Lawson the better at it. AJE is definitely the second best pass rusher we have at the DE position (not counting Miller because he'd hurt).

Difference in O-Line Year over Year
Maine-iac replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
Miami was in blitz zero over half the game. Most plays were one on one blocking and hoping the extra guy got picked up so there wasn't time to throw deep on every play. Yet play after play we tried to throw deep on every play. In many instances we are trying to score 100 points and pushing for incredible plays instead of taking what's easy and winning without the style points. Many of the plays are there if everything goes perfect but when they don't we let teams stick around or even take leads in games they have no real business leading. I don't blame our OL for the sacks. We had easy solutions in most cases. Quick throws or run the football (we were up 17 points). As an offense we want to score on every play and it's beautiful sometimes .............. and other times it isn't. -
Getting that hometown call. Need to swaddle that QB and rock him gently to the ground.

Lets not get carried away. The majority of the Dolphins points either came off turnovers or was directly a result of turnovers. They had one TD drive and that was about it. -
Emunds is the worlds largest safety. Given the system we play he's exactly what the coaches want. They threw the ball 45 times so Edmunds was right in his element.

I don't think of it as taking it out of Josh's hands. I'm not blaming him per se but there's nothing wrong with taking a safer route that you are capable of doing against an opponent who has far less chances of scoring and especially if you don't turn the ball over. It also is unnecessary for Josh to be taking those shots like where he fumbled the ball. Save it for when we need to score 30 or 40 points. Give teams something else to think about other than meeting at the QB for a big hit. -

JA is a race car and sometimes you need to trailer the race car because you're just going to get groceries. We could have saved the big passes for 3rd and long or inside 2 minutes of the half and just let the running game and used some passing like the Morris catch and pummeled the Phish into submission. -

Just like with the pass against a blitz zero if we block them up running the ball it's going to be a long gain. We probably could have popped off some big runs against that defense if we tried. -

Can't run or just don't run? I mean we get stuffed once in a while but we just don't have any commitment to the running game. -
He played some games for us this year. Not exactly sure when we put him on the practice squad but it didn't take Daboll long.

Catches TD's and blocks for TDs. Smart nab by Daboll.

What I find frustrating is all the evidence is there to say we could dominate teams running the ball. A game like this we could definitely have tested that theory out. 3rd and 7 they know we are running and Motor gashes them for 7. We probably could have run for 200 yards on them and been resting our starters in the 3rd. -

Motor should be getting 12 to 15 carries a game, end of story. If we are gashing and have a lead then mix in Cook for another 10 carries. If we are in a real shoot out then let Josh take over. Passing all the time with a lead is just bad game management.- 959 replies

They are giving Miami an extra second or two on the time clock all day long. -

There is literally no reason for this game to be this close. If we didn't pass 80 percent of the time and actually established a run game we could put the game away and kill the clock. Instead we throw throw throw giving them chances and sacks, fumbles, interceptions, and leave a ton of clock.
