I actually think Chase might be the answer. He's had two healthy seasons. He's still very young. His sack numbers weren't huge this year but if you look at hurries and knock downs he's very similar to Groot. I'm not sure he's going to come in have 15 sacks but I do think he can pressure a QB and he's also good against the run. He's also not going to break the bank.

Better have answers and have them quick. Our offense last year really did a nice job 90 percent of the game vs Spags.

Have to outplay the Chiefs and overcome the officiating.

I'm going to say it. I think the defense is better with Hamlin out there.

I honestly don't remember. I know I've been thinking the pass rush has been decent we just don't cover tight enough to make QB's hold the ball. Nix was holding the ball a lot. Dline had some good pressure. Not all the time but fairly regularly.

When was the last time we got a coverage sack? What a beautiful thing.

All the talk about Bishop for Hamlin, I'm starting to think maybe we need Bishop in there for Rapp. Rapp getting toasted two games in a row.

Well that changes things . Honestly if we are going after anyone, free agent or otherwise, I'd rather have an interior rusher. I think our edge rushers get the shaft because our coverage has guys running open for quick passes and our DT's are inconsistent at pushing up the middle so most QB's can just step up and escape. I think Aaron Donald would make more of a difference here than Garrett would.

Unload Miller. Back load the contract so we have Miller's 15 mil. dead cap off the books and it would essentially be a second at bat for hitting a pass rusher home run. I'd be all for bringing in Garrett at 30M. Miller was (according to spotrac) going to be on the books for almost 24M anyways.
