  1. Roman/Lynn same offense and Roman coached for a whole season prior to that. You think Dennison will come any where near what Roman/Lynn scored? Do you think next year he will? Sean Payton, Andy Reid, Greg Roman always put up points. Dennison put up 20 and 22 ppg before coming here. 0ur defenses gave up more points than his offenses were scoring .............. if you want two good insights as to why we lost last year and why we will continue to lose now.
  2. If you have Greg Roman or Andy Reid you can score 23 to 26 ppg with a QB like Taylor. How many games you win depend on if your team can play defense and not get 11 penalties a game, make it's kicks ect. If you have Hackett, Dennison, Marty ball type 0C's then you probably are going to want a different QB.
  3. So if it's all on understanding, and Taylor couldn't handle it, why did Dennison suck in Denver with Peyton Manning?
  4. Pretty much sums it up. Not a fan of the timing. Peterman might be better for the coaches.
  5. Dennison's offense's scored a whopping 20 and 22 ppg before coming here and that's with Peyton Manning on one of his teams. Tell me again what great things Dennison has done. Roman has outscored Dennison the last two years and is outscoring him this year also. Have to be able to score points and Dennison can't do it. Peterman may well fit Dennison's offense better so maybe, just maybe we'll go from 20 ppg to 22 like he did with the Broncos.
  6. This is key and it is where we consistently go wrong. Get good coaches on both sides of the ball.
  7. Essentially the same personnel we have here now scored 400 points last year. The biggest change is not Sammy leaving. Switching QB's is not going to get us back anywhere near 25 ppg. We did the Buffalo switch-a-roo ........... every few years we switch offense for defense or vice versa and proceed to waste away picks only to bring in a crappy coach to coach them.
  8. Yet last year with essentially the same personnel we scored more than all but 5 Bill's teams throughout the whole history of the NFL. Can't be on Dennison?
  9. Roman still puts up an offense that scores over 23 ppg game twice as much as Dennison even if he doesn't create "franchise QB's" or throw for 300 every game. Hell Roman has outscored Dennison the last 2 years and is outscoring him this year as well.
  10. Might be the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Unless someones 4 year old did that I can't understand why an adult would have wasted their time.
  11. If the defense comes back there's always a chance. If the running game would come back that wouldn't hurt either. Clay and KB make some pretty nice targets but in the end we really need Dennison to keep our QB out of 3rd and 12 all the time. Stop running wide with Tolbert on early downs.
  12. The Pats only gave up 25 or more twice last year and we were one of the two teams that did it. The other game we played them we won but Brady wasn't playing. With the offense we had last year and a defense we had a chance. With Dennison I don't know. Again it really has little to do with Peterman. I don't think it has much to do with Peterman. The stuff Andy Reid brought against the Pats ............. you'll never see that from Dennison.
  13. The two years pryor they were ranked 10th and 9th .......... it might be on Dennison.
  14. All the more reason that the particular changes the made are ridiculous. Time will tell. A great chance for Peterman.
  15. That is definately a hope. I am actually more pessimistic about Dennison than Peterman. Peterman may actually bring something. I think even a well oiled Dennison offense might be good for 23 ppg.
  16. Did you miss the part and I'll repeat it for you, where we were driving to go ahead right before that? If Manuel or McCoy could have made one yard we would have been driving for a go ahead score and that's half way through the 4th qtr.
  17. There was no "garbage time". It was 27 - 24 at the end of the 3rd and we were driving in the fourth but lost the ball on downs. Who threw those long TD's? How does that not count as offense? Is the point not to score points?
  18. He had 3 games prior to the N0 game with a rating over 96 and threw over 250 yards in 2 out of the 3. That's without any healthy recievers and the leading pass catcher being signed off the street. N0 was ugly for everyone but mostly the defense. If we weren't 5-4 or Taylor had multiple crap games I'd see it. It does seem like change for changes sake here. Possibly change for Dennison's sake but I think Dennison is a pedestrian coordinator so I hate to see Taylor get benched only to realize Dennison will never get things going.
  19. Did that get us into the playoffs? Was it actually the defense that needed help? Actually the Bills scored 31 points in the game they fired Roman after. It was horsecrap and everyone knew it.
  20. I don't see a "connection" to the Roman firing. I see it as a similarity. Making a change for changes sake especially given Taylor had played well in the games leading up to N0. As far as Peterman I do agree with you that he might be a better fit for Dennison. I just don't, at this point, feel like Dennison will ever have this team scoring points like we were either of the last two seasons with either QB. I just don't feel like starring down the barrel of two wasted QB's and drafting another to get wasted playing for a mediocre coordinator.
  21. Taylor threw for 270 against the Bucs, 165 against the Raiders, then 285 against the Jets. A QB rating over 96 in all 3 games. There wasn't much good to see in the N0 game admittedly but overall we are in a playoff hunt and Taylor has played well. I wish the best for Peterman but the worst case scenario is by season's end we aren't in the playoffs again. Have no QB on the roster that will be here next year or worthy of starting and will have at the point finally realized our 0C is garbage.
  22. I think they are making a change that will have little effect. That's my point. I don't think Peterman or Taylor it will really matter. I think Dennison is awful. Peterman might be more of a Dennison QB but even with decent starters at every position I don't think the best Dennison offense would be that good.
  23. Defense isn't getting it done. Make a change on offense. Did the same thing last year. I'm not anti Peterman but I bet it will have as much chance of fixing things as swiching to Lynn did last year.
  24. I don't think Dennison is very creative and certainly not creative enough to make use of Taylor. He's produced one offense in all his years that put up points comparable to what we scored last year.
  25. Every Roman offense has been better at scoring points than just about any offense Dennison has put on the field. Roman had one bad year. Every year other than that he's put up point totals that beat Dennison and it's net even close really and he did it with less talent. In a best case scenario Dennison will get us to 22 or 23 ppg game but given he could barely do that with Peyton Manning I wouldn't hold my breath.
