  1. Taylor doing his best to get Mayfield some playing time.
  2. Another drive, another penalty on the O-line.
  3. with help from the Cleveland kicker .......... just saying. Either way Allen is moving the ball which is good.
  4. Now if Frazier and McD can imitate a defense for 2 qtrs maybe everyone can shut the game off without feeling nauseous later.
  5. 1st and goal ................... run it in for god's sake.
  6. I mean in all honesty, and some really rose colored glasses, if the defense didn't completely suck this might be a ball game. If they actually stopped the Chargers and gave Allen the ball a few more times this might be a 14 - 9 game or something manageable. Something that doesn't make you fell ill. The offense so far I can live with the growing pains. The defense is unforgivable though.
  7. What percentage of our drives have at least one offensive penalty? It must be well over 50 percent.
  8. Sorry the blowouts make me say some crazy things.
  9. At least if we are down a million points Allen will get plenty of garbage time to throw some passes.
  10. Crazy talk here but I wonder if Rex had a "process". I mean he put some pretty competitive teams out there. Maybe he really just needed another year to get the secondary together. At least I could see his teams turning a corner. No way in hell this dumpster fire we have out there on the field is doing anything this year or next I would imagine. To many holes and I don't believe in the coaching at all.
  11. ....... because Preston and Ragland were HORRIBLE!!!
  12. Hey on the plus side they ran 3 plays without getting a penalty on the OL!!!
  13. Remember when the Saints game was Taylors fault? Here we go again. Pretty much the defense sucks.
  14. Great recievers, good OL, and a coach that KNOWS offense. Really a perfect situation. The OL worries me and the lack of WR's certainly doesn't help but the complete lack of proven offensive coaching is what I really fear in developing that high scoring offense that everyone had but wanted more passing.
  15. Maybe if we had current players that produced it wouldn't be happening as much.
  16. and 31 rushing ........ he'd be leading our team for the season with that total in both categories.
  17. This is the part that really kills me. Less talent is hard to play with but less talent and a ton of drive killing penalties is coaching.
  18. I kind of agree with the dollars and cents of it but the hardest thing to replace is a pass rushing D-lineman who can also stop the run. I agree Dareus wasn't every down and frustrating with his problems but he was still the difference (or at least it would seem) between pressure and no pressure on the QB's and an ability to shut down the run. Then there's Watkins and Ragland shooting around out there for KC. Two early round picks that we either haven't been able to replace or have spent even earlier round picks filling the same spot.
  19. Some how I feel like this all started when they got rid of Dareus.
  20. Watkins tearing the Steelers a new one at the moment.
  21. Someone tell me what part of the building process requires us to suck in all phases of the game?
  22. While I think this is a valid comparison you have to include that while Goff was talented and did much better from year 1 to year 2 the biggest factor in his development may well have been Fisher getting canned and McVay coming in. I actually have a decent amount of confidence that Allen has what it takes I'm just not sure we have a coach on the offensive side of the ball that can bring it out. We certainly don't have any Sean McVays waiting to develop him.
