  1. Better keep those Thanksgiving and Xmas plans light
  2. Wasn't very good last, we have some young guys with athleticism that need to play early in year to get some of the bumps out before playoffs
  3. That's a theory that works great on paper, but just not sure it works in reality. No team drafts that way, that being the care in reality means more to me than theories. I'd argue up and down for that philosophy if certain conditions existed. Full Rebuild No Holes on roster today or next few years coming Draft was before free agency That's not where we are though, we are trying to patch holes for today and tomorrow Give me BPA at Edge, IDL (1tech), CB, WR (Z capable) with those premium picks this year. 1-tech isn't considered a premium position, but that is a major weakness of this team, this year and even more in the future, going to have to address it early in this draft or end up over paying someone in FA... I'd rather overspend draft capital on that position right now than cap space in future
  4. BPA is not to be taken literally, as best player available in the draft (you couldn't get 10 people to all to agree on 1 guy being that anyways (consensus isn't real in subjective matters) Nobody is taking BPA across all positions, nobody...period Taking BPA is means taking the guy who is on top of our board right now (this would be for position they feel are a need in that area) caveat being that could change later in the draft and you have a player graded much higher than everyone else on your board and you take him, even if he's not a position of need as nothing is completely black and white, and you get to a point where value added is greater to just take that type of guy You aren't doing that with premium picks
  5. We need more Cowbell! Beefy 1-Tech Speed at CB Athlete at S
  6. I wish! I don't get to sit down at my desk until 9:30-10, by the time I get the kids up and dropped off at different schools, drive to work, check the status of the staff in warehouse and office, put out any fires. Then I sit and start checking e-mails and have my coffee. 3hours into my day, lol
  7. This made me think... First I started with, relegation in fantasy sports, that would be awesome, but impossible, end up with duplicate and triplicate players or would that be awesome? Then, I went imagine, team stayed and owners got pushed around Of course that led to, they should do that in real life...Sabres suck, guess what Terry, you know don't own the Sabres, you own the Rochester Americans... Nobody is tanking with that penalty ***yes, I know this is all ridiculous, let me enjoy my morning coffee
  8. Definitely would be interested I am a long time TBD member, just don't post much, more of a daily reader
  9. First day on the internet?
  10. DH Makes it: OL Tylan Grable - Athletic Freak, won't risk losing DH Cut: S Mike Edwards - Bishop wins the job, Hamlin shows enough to be backup, Cam Lewis is 4th...Hyde is around for break glass in emergency
  11. I'm not certain it was clearly getting out of a $30m WR contract versus getting value before you cut a 30yr old WR about to need a 3rd contract 25yr old getting 2nd contract at 25-30m isn't the same risk/issue
  12. 1. Doug Flutie - the love affair people had for him because he was short, will never make sense to me 2. Sammy Watkins - single handedly has ruined this fanbases appetite for trading up (good and bad really) 3. Vontae Davis - have some damn respect for the team and quit on Monday 4. Kyle Orton - sliding on 4th down behind the stick...are you kidding me right now
  13. I think for them to get up into the top-10. they would need to make two trades First into the teens and then up to the top-10 If that was going to be the case, I don't think it's happening at the draft table We'll know of the first move before then and they'd still need to be okay drafting someone in the teens at the cost they gave up, if the other deal fell through which is most likely draft day dependent on the board
  14. absolutely not along with world cup, two most dreaded time of the sports calendar absolutely no interest
  15. Etienne fantasy value going up
  16. I'm not sure this applies in 2024 that LT is most important OL position, it used to be for sure when QB's where far less mobile and stayed in pocket. The game has evolved quite a bit, evading a quick beat off the edge is far easier than one up the middle With how much shotgun Allen prefers to be in, his blind side isn't as open as a straight drop back. Elite offenses/QB's seem to have a high level center was more often than not as well over the past 20 years
  17. "We need to get younger" Beane trades a 27yr old career back-up for a 5th round pick "No, Not that way"
  18. You must be fun at parties
  19. T.O.? Does he still have the key?
  20. Oliver, Rousseau - snap counts need to go up I know this is a Mcdermott thing, but you have to let our best players play Absolutely, no reason these guys can't be getting 75-80% of the snap count
  21. I think it's a safe bet when looking at other teams "breakout" players little limited historical data to support this at any level is to remember our own guys like this. Just always remember Robert Foster All teams have these guys in flashes
  22. Wouldn't yards allowed after contact add a lot of context to this number?
  23. Iasaih Hodgins, I've been told on this board many times that he's amazing and we shouldn't have let him go
  24. You think those stats look good?
