  1. You can make things up all day long...The actual replay even does a better job showing the ball on the ground. If that were Gronk on the ground fumbling for the ball, you'd be saying/seeing the same thing. I posted it already in reply to another poster. It's pretty clear. The actual reply is an even better look at the ball on the ground.
  2. You're extremely lucky. How boring it is to have everyone agree all the time... If he were wearing a Patriots' uniform, you would be claiming (and rightly so) that the ball is clearly on the ground.
  3. James lost control when the ball hit the ground. Knees and feet don't matter, according to the current rules. Pretty cut and dry. I'm not saying it's a good rule, but the NFL makes these rules for a reason. They've had several opportunities to change them, but haven't. Even the Tuck Rule took a decade to change.
  4. The receiver must control the ball after initial contact with the ground. That's what the rule says. Clearly, James lost control. His left hand was totally off the ball and the ball was resting on the ground. We can argue it's a dumb rule, but it's the rule.
  5. And that's why the call was reversed. Bad rule, but called correctly here. The knee being down and crossing the plane have no bearing here. There are plenty of shots we can Google that show the ball out of James' possession.
  6. Once again, there is no excuse for Gronk acting the way he did. I simply pointed out the obvious reason why he did what he dd. How about this... Big Papi stands in the batter's box during the home run derby. The bullpen pitcher throws at his head again and again. Using your logic, Ortiz should simply ignore fastball after fastball smashing into his skull. MLB knows that pitchers are throwing at Papi's head, However, they decide to do nothing about it. Because Papi is so big and strong, MLB ignores PIs against Gronk. That's reality as of today!!!!
  7. Yeah...um...Stop making things up. Suspensions hurt NE. Penalties hurt NE. We saw that last night, when NE got their asses kicked by Miami. NE missed Gronk's blocking and production. 27-20? Not even that close... You really think BB would allow anything to hurt the team? You only watch 2 Patriots' games each year! Do you really believe what Rex told you, that these are the only 2 games that matter? Real football fans know better...
  8. You didn't just compare sports to real life did you? Throw a baseball 100MPH at someone's head, MMA, etc. That's your real world BS... Gronk was wrong. Gronk was bad . Gonk did a dirty move. That's not up for debate. No one thinks what he did was ok... There's no rationalizing. No defending it. However, there is a reason he did something so out of character for a Patriots' player... NO ONE worries about cheap shots when playing NE.
  9. SHOULD have absolutely no bearing... Look at Michael Bennett last night. He was frustrated because the Seahawks were going to lose, so he tried to blow out an o lineman's knees. Suh, Wake, Raiola, Porter, James Harrison, Pac Man, Burfict. Game after game they pull something stupid. The refs let things get too out of hand and people snap. Those of us who live in the real world have our moments too.
  10. "It didn't make it right by any means and it certainly doesn't excuse it." That's from my post. I was disappointed in his behavior because that's not the type of play you'd expect from Gronk or NE. That's the stuff of Seattle, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati. If you want to see some really dirty football, watch the Dolphins tonight. Diving at knees, hitting Brady well after the whistle, targeting the heads of Brady and his receivers, grabbing face masks, stomping ankles. Especially since the Dolphins really don't have anything to play for. I know, I know... You're holding your breath that Brady doesn't get hurt...
  11. No, the refs didn't jump on White. However, it's the refs job to call penalties. White should have been called several times for PI on that play. Gronk had been getting held, groped, tripped, and grabbed on every play. That's why he did what he did. It wasn't right. He got suspended. He shouldn't have done it. You had to reach for that one... Your emotions clouded your response here. I never excused what Gronk did. I said why he did it. It didn't make it right by any means and it certainly doesn't excuse it. The refs, by calling any of the blatant PIs on that play, would have prevented Gronk's response. All game long he was held, grabbed, had his arm pinned, etc. Gronk rarely gets calls because he's so big. That's what I was saying. I've had some great conversations with Falcons fans, Seahawks fans, Jets, Dolphins, Steelers, etc. In all my posts here (100 or so) I don't think I've rubbed anything in. Purposely anyway. The refs sucked. They usually do and you can't challenge many of the calls that you should be able to.
  12. We all know Deflategate was made up. The Well$ Report, 2 court hearings, science, and common sense proved that. Those who still think NE deflated footballs are rarer than sightings of the Loch Ness Monster. The Colts' footballs were also illegally low and they were part of the setup. It's 26' outside now. There's a good chance that the low PSI light in my truck will turn on when I go out. Spygate? That did happen. NE got dinged for having one camera a few feet out of position for about 15 minutes of one game against the Jets. Filming signals has never been against the rules. The camera wasn't in the right spot. Just a different angle of the same footage. 32 cars going 1 mile over the speed limit. The cop only pulls over the shiny new sports car. He lets the old jalopies continue to speed. Even though the driver of the shiny new sports car has a clean record, the cop arrests the driver for reckless driving and impounds the car. Sure. Makes sense. I would never lie to you, Joe. There's also a 3rd option...I'm correct in what I write. I know more about the Pats than you do. You hear the soundbite from B$PN and believe it. When it's proven that B$PN lie, yet again, they issue their apology 2 weeks later a 2:31 A.M.
  13. Banning (or calling for the banning) someone who simply tells the truth is a cowardly thing to do. The Pats' boards have more trolls than any other NFL board. They scream about all the "cheating" even though people who actually follow the NFL know that it never happened. They use more energy rooting for the Patriots to lose than they do hoping their team du jour wins...
  14. better than life in Canada, I suppose... It's called the "Caron Palmer Rule" because the rules were changed because of what happened to Carson Palmer. Not Brady. Those of us that follow the NFL know that. It's only the casual bandwagoners that think it was changed because of Brady. Look, I know it's tough being a Bills fan. 18 years of being irrelevant. We NE fans have had some 7-8 years spells too. The difference is that we didn't just make stuff up to make ourselves feel better about sucking...We lost because we weren't good. We didn't rabble on about imaginary "cheating" or try to change well-known facts. That would have been embarrassing and pathetic.
  15. Gronk is never just tackled. Pats fans cringe every time he gets the ball because we know a gruesome play could happen. We see helmets rocketing at his knees, then someone from out of nowhere jumping on him for good measure. This happens every single game.
  16. Gronk's knees are targeted play after play. D-backs can't tackle him high, so they attack his knees and ankles. Bills' fans have no problem with these deliberate, premeditated attempts to end Gronk's career. Yet, the one time he reacts, after hundreds of dirty hits, he's the dirty player... Makes sense SMH...
  17. Gronk's hit to White's back was dirty, but these types of hits are what Gronk deals with every week. Teams try to blow out his knees each and every week.
  18. Sure holding happens on every play, but as we all know, liberties are allowed to be taken with Gronk. White could and should have been called for blatant PIs several times on that play. If the refs had blown the whistle... I know I'm unpopular here for the simple fact that I'm a Patriots' fan. You trash what I write for only that reason... Buffalo fans say: Tyrod sucks! Bench the bum! Start Peterman! TT is the worst QB in the league! I write: Maybe the Bills should look at drafting a QB in 2018. Bills fans respond: Ban this troll! Who tf is this clown? He's making fun of us! You don't know what you're talking about! TT is the greatest!
  19. Bernard's hit on Brady wasn't dirty and wasn't even a flag at the time. It was a legal football play Just like the Tuck Rule... Or the time the Colts got the PI rules changed because their pillow soft offense couldn't beat NE to the Titans... The Carson Palmer Rule..
  20. If the refs had done their job and flagged ANY of White's 5 PI penalties on that SINGLE play, Gronk wouldn't have snapped. Tre was obviously hurt, down and out before... People who don't follow the NFL confuse the SD Rodney with the NE Rodney.
  21. Of course. If NE does it... Ban it...Change the rules...Suspend everyone Other teams do it? ...Ignore it...Pretend it never happened...Encourage it Tough talk for an ostrich!
  22. For real this time. It's tough being the beacon of truth, justice, and common sense in this message board. Still, it's important to stand for the truth, even when sending alone. BTW, I'm commenting during commercials of Vikings...
  23. Oh sure. You mean like the NFL lying and creating a "scandal" like Deflategate? Singling out 1 of 32 for having a single camera out of place for 20 minutes of one game? Allowing Brady to be hit time and time again after the whistle. Allowing teams to tee off on Brady's head game after game? Allowing defenders to pin Gronk's arms, grab his jersey, and push off on every pass?
  24. You know none of that happened right? Except the substitution thing, which by the way, was legal and a common play. If you can't beat 'em, make stuff up to make yourself fell better...
  25. Alonzo wasn't suspended for his hit on Flacco. Suh wasn't suspended for purposely grabbing Dion Lewis' facemark and twisting it around almost breaking his neck. Suh wasn't suspended for grabbing Mallet by the throat. Burfict also has done something this year, but I can't recall off the top of my head. Was what Gronk did dirty? Absolutely.
