  1. He's better than Cutler, but I don't think Tannehill is the answer either. He should be considered the transition QB, but the Fins think he's THE answer. 8-8 or 9-7 with him this year. There aren't many good QBs in the NFL right now. While I'm no evaluator of who will be good, it's usually pretty easy to gauge who will be bad and who won't help teams. If the Bills can upgrade from TT (easy) at a cap friendly price and without giving away too much (harder to do) sure. The Bills have more issues than just QB. A defense that's 18th in points allowed and 26th in yards allowed is a great place to start.
  2. You know how downtrodden and frustrated a fan base is when they're hoping for Red Rocket or Alex "Average" Smith... You're absolutely right about not getting stupid with money. Kirk Cousins would be a stupid signing due to the $ involved. No one is winning anything with Cousins, Dalton, or Smith, but Cousins and possibly Dalton (last I read) could be free agents which means bidding wars. Dumb teams pay dumb money for average players. Smith is due something like $14.5M next year and there are different bonuses. While his stats are better than TT's, the Chiefs only won one more game than the Bills despite scoring more points and having a (slightly) better defense. Both of which were average (points/game). The fear, for a fan, would be that the brass thinks that an average QB could propel the team to new heights. That would cause Pegula to spend money for average play, much like the Dolphins did with Tannehill.
  3. That was a great play by Ramsey. Super hustle. He wanted the ball more than Thompson.
  4. According to Ritchie and his teammates, this was all said in jest among friends. The only one offended seemed to be Martin. We've all said something like, "I could kill..." I don't doubt Ritchie said those things in Miami, but what was his intent. I'm not claiming saying those things was OK to do, but who are you (or I) to determine what's OK friends say to each other? Ritchie is an easy target now, whether or not he was guilty on Sunday. Now, Dion Dawkins is calling BS on what Ngakoue claimed.
  5. The issue with Ted Well$ is that he's not the unbiased "investigator" he's purported or supposed to be. Goodell tells Well$ the conclusion he wants reached, then Well$ tries to connect dots, no matter how convoluted, facts and evidence be damned. Let's not forget that Well$ was able to "prove" that 2nd hand smoke is harmless. Whatever Teddy puts his name to is most certainly shady, unsubstantiated, full of half-truths, rampant with blatant lies, and motivated purely by money. Still, Ritchie does have that stigma now, despite overwhelming support from his (former) Dolphins teammates both black and white. Regardless, he would have to be a real fool to make racist remarks toward an opposing player on the field. In front of everyone. With the microphones around. We'll quickly see the other players confirm that he said something or deny that he said something.
  6. You're giving people the impression that YOU fell guilty. I don't know if that was your intent, but that has been the result.
  7. You can tell by the way they drive...
  8. I dislike racism and all that comes with it. However, I'm not going to feel guilty about things that happened long before I was born. I'm also not prepared to take the blame for something a minuscule number of white people who identify as Nazi, KKK, etc, participate in. It seems that you feel differently. Yannik isn't in the right simply because he's black, just as Incognito isn't right simply because he's white. Yes. Yes you are right.
  9. Ahhhh, the guilt angle then! You're probably right.
  10. Either way he's dug himself in so deep with his nonsense that he feels has no choice, but to go full numbskull...
  11. Are you claiming that you can read black peoples' minds? That's quite a racist thing to claim. I never wondered if they were friends either. Once again, you're confused. Perhaps you should just go to bed and sleep your bender off? Goodnight...
  12. You're getting my comments confused with somebody else's. I never said Yannik and Bennett were friends. That was another poster. You asked that poster why it would matter. I explained why he would say that. Also, you read the tweet wrong. Yannik wrote "I'm proud of my African heritage, as are 70% of the other Black players in this league." That means that 30% of the black players in the league aren't proud. His words, not mine.
  13. Wow... I can only guess that you're deliberately stirring the pot here with your nonsense. Everyone is judged by the company they keep. If a person is publicly friends with well-known racists, they will be considered a racist. It doesn't matter if that racist is a Nazi or if that racist is Michael Bennett. As for your question about blacks thinking alike, Yannik thinks that 70% of them do...
  14. I think the point of person you initially replied to was that if Yannik was friends with someone whose first instinct was to purposely and falsely accuse the police of racism, well, birds of a feather. I didn't defend Incognito, I simply answered your question.
  15. Probably because of the incident in Vegas. Bennett called cops racist, but the video showed he wasn't truthful. https://www.outkickthecoverage.com/las-vegas-police-prove-michael-bennett-lied-racism-charges/
  16. I agree. I think it will depend on if his teammates support him, or if they don't... He has a "history" if you believe Goodall and his cronies. Most of what I read/saw claims Bullygate was mostly BS.
  17. You're right. I meant the media and fans in general. Most Bills fans will certainly question it.
  18. You caught that too, huh? Because Incognito's role in that Bullygate nonsense, Yannik figures he can toss out any ole racist accusations without anybody questioning it. Let's see what Ritchie (and his teammates) have to say...
  19. At the beginning of the year, I claimed that TT was NOT the answer. I got pummeled for daring to suggest such a thing! You watch, this offseason, there will still be people wanting him back. "Just get him the right players around him!" they'll shout. smh...
  20. Jim Kelly (at 57 years old) would have given the Bills a better chance to win today. Today should have removed any doubt about TT being a franchise QB.
  21. The Sullivans were idiots. The owner's son tried to pick a fight with Howie Long after a game once. Still, it was the Jackson 5 tour in 1884 or 1985 that caused the Sullivans to sell to Kiam. The Sullivans never planned on moving and neither did Kiam. The only one who wanted to move them was Orthwein, but Kraft didn't let him. There are still teams though with the very real threat of moving. Off to more lucrative pastures... I don't know how Raiders fans could support them if they moved. Chargers fans dumped them quickly. St. Louis fans dumped the Rams too. Jags don't really have any fans to speak of, so no loss when they inevitably move. London probably, if the NFL has its way. We Whalers fans refused to support them when they became the Hurricanes. What do you think will happen if the Bills go?
  22. Kraft forced the previous owner's hand. Orthwein (Budweiser Beer) wanted to move the team to STL. Kraft realized the support the Pats had in the region. Since he already owned the stadium, it was easy to force Orthwein to sell. He made a cool $170M, which was a lot at the time. There are plenty of reports out there that still have Toronto as a possible landing spot for the Bills. That talk hasn't gone away. A bigger market that could make the franchise much more valuable. I think the Bills were ranked least in value by Forbes before this season began. Davis said he wasn't going to move the Raiders. Kroenke said the same thing. If the Pegulas get a good offer, they'll likely jump at the chance. No one ever thinks it could happen to them... Personally, I want the Bills to stay in Buffalo, but it's tough financially.
  23. As long as Kraft owns the team, the Pats will be competitive. We'll (no team will) NEVER see a time like the TB12/BB years again. Not in an era of salary caps and free agency. But if teams like Buffalo and Denver and GB can keep seats filled with so little sustained success. Even with 4 successful sports franchises in the area. It's also not the Boston Patriots. It's Maine, NH, VT, RI, and CT east of the Connecticut River. Half the fans come from states not called Massachusetts. Under any other circumstances, the rest of us can't stand M!@#$s.
  24. The Bills had nine regular season games blacked out from 2010-2014 and 19 blackouts since 2000, and almost moved to Canada....What's your point? Kraft bought the team in 1994. That's when the sellout streak began. The TB12 era began 7 years after that. Nearly a quarter century of selling out the stadium.
  25. I've been a fan since the Grogan years, so you're wrong there. Bills fans probably know more players on the Pats than on the Bills... And I could ask you to name 5 players since Kelly retired. Don't forget that the Pats went to the SB in the 80s and 90s. The Patriots have sold out every game since 1994. The year Kraft bought the team. That's 24 years. That's an awfully long bandwagon. No one has more loyal fans than the Pats. Some might have been loyal longer, like the Steelers, Cowboys, and Packers, but that's only due to them having success early on. What was it like in Buffalo before the Bills had their 4 good seasons? The thing about Boston, is that there's more than enough passion for 4 teams. I like to remind my brother (a Giants fan) that New York only has 1 NFL team in it.
