You beat me to it. However, I'll add that Belichick traded him to the NFC because he didn't want Garoppolo in the AFC. Cleveland would have offered more. BB didn't even shop JG around. He just called SF and made the deal.
-
Didn't you guys give up 2 firsts and another pick to get Watkins? Garoppolo is the real deal folks. 7-0 and the only QB NE has ever drafted to take over for Tom. Who knew he'd be the MVP at 40 years old? NE really didn't have a choice, but to trade him. Traded him to the NFC even though the Browns were willing to give up more because he didn't want JG in the AFC. 49ers are going to make him a rich man. At least I hope so. Imagine if the Bills had JG instead of TT! I don't really want to think about it...

Isn't Bell one drug test from missing an entire year? He was tweeting at Patriots' fans at midnight the night before the Steelers lost to the Jags about meeting the Pats the following week of the playoffs! He spent the week talking about his contract, retiring or sitting out the season. I wouldn't want any part of that clown! The Bills' weakness was the QB. If you had even an average QB, it would have been the Bills playing in the 2nd round.

Goodell does his best to make both teams go 0-16. If Belichick was the HC of the Bills, they would make the playoffs most years. If Brady was the QB of the Bills, they would make the playoffs most years. Add them together and the Bills have SB rings. Both are the GOATs on their own, but together...

I'll be first to ask: Would you fire Mike Tomlin?
ricko1112 replied to Ennjay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trip Tomlin's recipe for success is to hope that someone trips up the Patriots. The Steelers consistently underperform. They aren't able to adjust and are often unprepared. Much like Rex Ryan, Tomlin and the Steelers, obsess over the Patriots and overlook opponents, trash talk, and make guarantees they can back up. After every loss the Steelers immediately start playing the blame game, make excuses, throw each other under the bus, whine, blame the refs, and want the rules changed. The fans on the Steelers message overwhelmingly want to see a change after yesterday's debacle. I apologize if I said this before. My hatred of the Steelers is like yours for the Pats... -
That's what Ross Tucker said. I was listening on the radio. I guess after the debacle at the end of the Steelers/Pats game, Ben didn't trust Haley's play calling. Same results...

Patricia and McDaniels are more loyal to Belichick. All of his coordinators are and only move on to teams to which BB gives his blessing. Eric Mangidiot learned that the hard way when he went to the Jets. Yes, Brady is loyal to Kraft. The Lions and the Colts, I believe you're correct. BB isn't going anywhere. If he was planning on going, McDaniels would be staying to take over. Too much is being made of the Garoppolo trade. Most thought that NE could have collected a king's ransom from the Browns, Bears, or 49ers before the draft. All reports say BB told everyone who called that he wasn't interested. We also know that NE wasn't going to keep JG after the season either. He wasn't ever going to play while Brady is playing at an MVP level. The trade got him out of the AFC and into a good situation. Plus NE got the current return for a back up QB. I know this would be the dream scenario for the NFL, but it's not happening yet! ;-)

Nah. Bit by bit we're finding out that WickerSHAM's story was mostly BS. Unnamed sources, friends of, and sources close to. Much of it seems made up, which wouldn't be surprising from someone who works for B$PN! There wasn't any turmoil like the article claimed. But I'm editorializing... Josh McDaniels was the heir apparent in NE. There are several rumors now that he's going to take the Indy job. That tells me that Belichick is staying in NE. If the talk was that Josh was going to stay, then I would be worried. No, the rest of the league will have to wait a few more years. Still, I know this ride won't last forever...

There were some rumors that Daboll might replace Josh McDaniels next season. Good hire.

Buffalo Offense terrible in playoff game

Dolphins fans are like that. They still think Marino, in his prime, is coming back. Same thing on the Pats' board too. Again, great year. Hope the Bills figure out their QB situation! Well, not really...;-) Enjoy the offseason! -

No, I haven't had the pleasure. Is his name a play on Nate Peterman's performance? :-) -

Yes, I'm a Pats fan. I'll tell you why I'm here...In the near future, it will be the Bills that will be NE's main competition in the AFCE. The Jets are a clown show with very little direction and without a plan moving forward. The same can be said for the Dolphins. Last year was an aberration. Once the Bills get their QB situation under control, they could start to get 10-11 wins. Brady only has a couple years left as the NFL's top QB. When Brady finally retires, how good will his replacement be? NE will take a QB in the 2nd round in the next draft. When Belichick leaves, who will his replacement be? The combination of GOAT QB and GOAT coach for 17 years is a once in a lifetime occurrence. I'm here so that I can understand what's happening with the team that could replace NE atop the AFCE in a few years. -

Don't Draft a QB, Package The Picks For This Instead
ricko1112 replied to yungmack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every time that drug addled booze hound opens his yap everyone on the Colts (and their fanbase) must cringe. Luck's not going anywhere. After all the Colts went through to get the 1st pick in the draft? No way. -

Last I heard, Josh McDaniels was the leading candidate for the Colts HC job. He'll want a "top" QB and I'm not sure if Jacoby Bresset would do it... -
Not very good options there. TT's stats are better that Bridgewater's. Bradford will get probably get hurt. Cousins will want (and get) too much money from somebody. Alex Smith is Alex Smith and not a big game player. What will KC want for him? Certainly the Bills will draft a QB, but who will be available when the Bills pick? Are any of the QBs coming out worth moving up for? They rarely are. Wentz looked good, but Bears will regret Trubisky for years to come.

Would you give up multiple picks to move up to #2?
ricko1112 replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There aren't. At least not yet... Let's see who gets hyped at the combine and which teams get hosed! Like the Bears did. -

If that's the case, run away! Run away as fast as you can! -
44 games with Tyrod at QB - % breakdown

Funny that the biggest win of the year for the Bills was a win by the Bengals! NE will be around for a few more years. Pittsburgh too. Then 1 team from both the AFCS and AFCW. That leaves 2 spots. No reason with a QB upgrade, Buffalo can't be there for years to come. -

I'm not a Bills fan, but the team could have given up after the NP experiment. After not making the playoffs for 17 years, who could/would have blamed them? Or the fans? I hope this is the beginning of something good. BTW, I hate the Dolphins and especially the Jets. Not the Bills though. Upgrade at QB somehow. I don't know how though... Don't want to kill the salary cap with an average QB that really won't make much of a difference. Don't want to give up a good draft pick for an average QB that really won't make much of a difference. Too many positions need upgrades. -

Just wait because I'm sure the apologists will think of more. Remember before the season began? Anyone who DARED claim TT wasn't the answer got called all sorts of names. I think mustering a whopping 3 points in the first playoff game, in 17 years, should end all "Keep TT" talk. You can't give up 10 points on D and lose a game. You just can't! -
We need a stop gap QB and it can't be Tyrod
ricko1112 replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even though I'm not a Bills fan, it was frustrating to watch the game against the Jags. 3 stinking points! I guess the Bills really do need to do something at QB. Hope you have a productive offseason!
