Roster Concerns Prior to Draft
ricko1112 replied to richardb1952's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nicely explained. I can't watch because they're never on TV. He's certainly not getting the national love that Sam Darnold is. With all the moves you guys have made, we'll see if he's for real or not. -
Roster Concerns Prior to Draft

The Bills aren't on TV very often where I live. He has a losing record. He had a great game against the Dolphins in the last game of the season, but he was terrible the 4 games before that. In fact, he had 2 awesome games and 10 disasters. TT seems to have been much better and he was no good. Again, this isn't a trolling post, I really want to know. -

Roster Concerns Prior to Draft

I'm not a Bills fan, but this is a serious question... Not a trolling question I swear! Why are you guys so high on Josh Allen? Horrible completion %. More INTs than TDs and only 6.5 Y/A. Tyrod Taylor had much better stats. -
Why are the Browns the sexy pick?

You know how this works... Bills just being the Bills... Browns just being the Browns... NE didn't have the most talented roster this year, but they had the best coaches, smartest players, and bought into the "team first" mentality. Does anyone think AB, Le'veon, OBJ, etc even give two poops about winning? Not a chance in Hell! It's the fans that care about winning. Most players care about getting paid. If I can play for the Pats and make $4M and win 3 SBs or play for someone else and make $50M, what am I going to do? -

Bills, Jets, and Dolphins compete to win the offseason every year. They try to sign the big names, but those guys almost never live up to expectations... They're left with bad contracts and worse teams. While teams have been signing players to crazy money, do you know what Belichick has been doing? He's been on vacation in Barbados with his woman! He's been lounging on the beach and frolicking in the surf! The AFCE bottom dwellers have made a big move here and there, but the Brown Stains loaded up in a division with the Steelers who are in turmoil, Ravens have a run first QB who can't throw the ball into the ocean from a boat, and the Bengals. The Bengals... The Browns have weaker teams in front of them than the Bills, Jets, and Dolphins. -
I'm not a Bills fan, but you guys dodged a bullet here. AB quit on his teammates the week before their most crucial game of the season. He only cares about his stats. Not winning. Stats = $$ so who's to say... We've all seen him pout and make scenes while winning huge games if he doesn't get his touches. We've also seen him laughing and high 5-ing after crushing losses as long as HIS stats are good.
-
That's asking a lot though from a young guy who hasn't done anything (yet) in the NFL. Thanks to AB, the Steelers have become a punchline. Big Boob has won 2 SBs, they're a veteran team, have a coach that is (unbelievably) in no danger of being fired, and stable ownership. Very few QBs have the cache to tell AB to pound sand. Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Wilson maybe.
-
AB would destroy the Bills' locker room. Imagine what he would do to your young QB. He pouts when he doesn't get the ball even when the Steelers were winning. He quit on his team because he wasn't voted team MVP! As much as the rest of the AFCE would love to see that disaster, it was never going to happen. Be thankful...
-
There needs to be some sanity added to this board every so often, don't ya think? Several posts before me that mentioned "cheating." Yet you pick the most honest one to complain about. BTW, I was hoping AB went to the Bills! What a disaster that would have been!

15K emails and text messages and the word "deflator" was used exactly 1 time. And even that was from the previous season when the footballs were filled to the maximum allowed. Let's not forget that the Colt's footballs were also illegally low. Brady wanted them filled to the lowest level allowed. There's an acceptable range you know... Cold, wet weather reduces psi. Everyone, in Buffalo, knows this. Bills fans mentioning Deflategate aren't true fans at all.
-
Let's see... Deflategate was phony. The Colt's footballs also delated during the course of the game. The phone you say? Brady was explicitly told that the phone wasn't needed since he already provided nearly 15K texts and emails. Well$ commended Brady and NE for their cooperation. Plus middle school science... Look this up if you want because it's all verified. Spygate wasn't about filming at all because filming has never been against the rules. Neither has stealing signals.Bandwagon fans don't realize this and base their nonsensical "cheating" accusations on that. Spygate was about the placement of the camera and even that wasn't technically against the rules until the next season. Taping walkthroughs is against the rules though. It never happened either. The clown who reported it admitted that he made it up and his paper issued a full page apology for publishing the lie. PEDs? Of course. However, the scandals are simply the creations of part-time, jealous morons who hate sustained excellence. I have these same irrational thoughts about the Yankees and Lakers. How about focusing on actual cheating like the Broncos paying Elway millions under the table to keep the team together to win those 2 SBs? Trip Tomlin caught on TV. The Colts caught pumping in phony noise on live TV? The Ravens? The Giants? Don't forget the 3rd down train noise against NE. These are all verified and proven instances of cheating.

No, it wasn't, but it was only meant for the that other guy. I was rooting for the Bills over the NFC in those SBs. My reason for being here is genuine, but sometimes when people spout off ridiculous and/or blatantly false nonsense I'll respond. I usually let it go because it's human nature to believe the very first headline we see. Even when the people who first broke the headline correct their mistake, people refuse to change their minds because it makes them feel better. Like I said, I usually just let it go because this is a Bills' site. I don't expect most people here to understand what Spygate really was or Deflategate. Most here don't realize that the Colts' footballs were illegally low too. Where are the PSI readings Goodell promised to release from the random checks the year after? Anyway, I'm not going to argue those with you guys anymore because your minds will never be changed even if Goodell would stand there and admit the truth that he lied. My reason for being here is what I said it was. TB and BB won't be in NE for more than a few more years.

I told a knowledgeable Bills fan that I was here because I realize that the Bills are becoming a real team again. No longer a trash heap like the Jets will continue to be, or a flukey 1 and done like the Dolphins were. The Bills are building their way back to respectability and will probably (once they get a QB) take over as the class of the AFCE in a couple years when TB and BB retire. By mentioning Brady's phone, it's clear that you only paid attention to the initial report about the phone and not the part when Ted Well$ told us that he told Brady that he no longer needed the phone. 10K + texts and emails were taken from Brady's phone. In his report, Well$ even praised Brady for his level of cooperation. I suppose that kick wasn't wide right either?

I've been a Pats fan since Grogan. I haven't heard a single Jags player complain about being held by the o-line or any PI. All the interviews I've heard and read it's always, "I can't believe only 1 penalty." Bouye complained about Dola hitting someone in the head. That's it. You only mention those "holds" because you don't like the Pats. If it had been the other way around you would have called it "great blocking." The only thing that the Jags can legitimately can complain about was the whistle on the Lewis fumble. However, as many shows have pointed out, it didn't look like the refs even knew the Jags had the ball. Still harping on the cheating fantasies too, huh? I guess you still believe in the Tooth Fairy too? That's all I'll say about that since this is a Bill's MB.
-
NE is always near the top in fewest penalties. It's a reflection of great coaching, super discipline, and intelligent players. How about the punch to James White's head after his TD? I don't recall a flag for that? Again, the refs only called the blatant violations. This was one of the best officiated games of the entire season. If Bouye and his mates wore different jerseys, he would be boasting what great plays they were. Complaining about the refs is what the loser mentality does to you. (Players, I mean. Not YOU). If the refs called all the tacky-tack fouls, the Jags would have had 200 yards in penalties and the game would have been a blowout in the Pats' favor.
-
I noticed that too. 2 rushes for 2 yards or -2 yards, I think. I know the plan was to stop the Fournette (3yards/carry) and spy Bortles. Make him beat them with his arm. It seemed to work in the 2nd half when the Jags started playing conservatively. Actually, at the end of the 1st half by kneeling with 55 seconds told us all we needed to know about Marrone's faith in Blake. Still, it looked like he could have run for some chunks of yards a couple times.
-
Every penalty call was legit, blatant even. We all know that NE is the most disciplined and well-coached team and the Pats are often at the top of teams with the fewest penalties. BB doesn't employ players who consistently hurt the team. Also, if you look at the penalties, there were no offensive holding calls for either team except the ST one on the Pats. Why is it so hard to believe that the Jags o-line can play penalty free, but not NE's? The refs allowed the teams to play last night by only calling flagrant violations. No tick-tack calls. It's often said that holding could be called on every play, but we tend to focus on the ones the "other" team makes. The whistle on the Lewis fumble though... I don't know. That was a bang bang play. Even in slo-mo replay it was difficult to tell when Lewis was down and if the Jags player was down by contact. The refs often blow the whistle in that situation.

Someone on these 6 pages must have mentioned this, but how is Teddy any better than Tyrod? Completion % is nearly the same. TT averages more TDs and fewer INTs each season and has a higher QB rating. I'm comparing TT's last 3 years to TB's 2 years. Oh yeah, there's that injury thing too.
-
No worries. Lots of Pats fans don't even realize they even got a pick. Oh, and the part underneath Kony Ealy was meant for someone else. Sorry! No it wasn't inaccurate. Brady just isn't at that point yet. He's still the best at his position and it would be amazing for him to be around at 45 years old. Still, if he has 2 or 3 years of being a top 3-5 QB, you have to keep him. BB will draft his replacement this draft in the 2nd round.
-
Cooper was just a throw in. They turned the draft pick they got in return into Joe Thuney and Malcolm Mitchell. Thuney started every game last year and is a very good lineman. Mitchell had some big catches last year. Unfortunately, he's got hurt before this season started. He'll be back next year. The trade was never about Cooper. If you want to use Kony Ealy as an example, I'll happily agree. Lazy and didn't buy in to the system. I'm glad it was only a 5th rounder. No it wasn't inaccurate. Brady just isn't at that point yet. He's still the best at his position.

Brady will be the league MVP this year. How do you justify trading the best QB in the league? BB held onto him up until the trading deadline. They would have offered a lot more on draft day. BB does some things that make you scratch your head, but the usually work out. He traded Jamie Collins (their best defender) midseason last year to the Browns. Defense got better. Go figure. Brady will be the league MVP this year. How do you justify trading the best QB in the league? Sorry for replying to you twice Buffalo Boy!
