  1. You assume you live to talk about it.... Tre White nearly went splat and he is an excellent athlete! I can't imagine the damage if he was just a below medicore message board poster... PS, screw him. Why wld you want him here? More avatar, less words please...
  2. Rubber... glue.... bouncing.... You, my fellow board is- just dont give a flying !@#$. It's pretty special tbh
  3. His game seems to have almost a forced pocket presence to it in that it's obviously a point of contention for him and something he has worked to improve so he can be taken seriously as a passer. It seems he knows what he has to do and is working to get there. Separate from that his 'game ' is still the modern version of a Cunningham in his eagles prime style. Sure, he works to be more of a conventional style pocket passer - but at this point I dont think that is his strong suit or stregenth. He seems to be a stellar athlete and gets oodles of attention because of it. But, if he didnt have that in spades would he still be considered a top prospect? It's not his fault dudes a gamer in that regard but I tend to see it as there is a Rosen who is refined and xxx style. Jackson naturally is more of a zzz style, but trying to conform to a xxx style. Its been assumed from comments etc mcbeane have an ideal style similar with xxx. So, do you take someone that has a natural xxx style you want and prefer? Or someone trying to work and fit the mold. A fair point, is if you believe he already is a xxx and is on par w the other 4 - then there will just be a fundamental disagreement and it is what it is. To each their own and zero hard feelings. That alone is why people have preferences and favorites imo
  4. There is hope then I suppose. It's two fold. I dont think I can change my mind PRIOR to him becoming a member of this team. If he does, well then I've got no choice. I have watched as much stuff as I can find on all these guys, as well as read and interviews w others (including speculation) and I admit.. I haven't done as much w Jackson or even Rudolph (but more than lj). That is my fault, but more so that's just a game style I've never been a fan of more than anything bc it has never sustained any long term success. It seems it's either been diagnosed and figured out, style has cut players career short, or it was too inconsistent. I don't want to make this about if that style can or can't be successful - just more so you might be a rare breed. I have some ignorance in not doing all of my homework on lj bc I'm not interested (that said I still have seen and read quite a bit - not just every drop like the others) BUT the difference is I simply say no thanks rather than downing him or busting him down at every turn bc I'm not a fan. To me, there in lies the issue.
  5. I have no idea. I'd hope so, but this is a theoretical senerio. That said, I think tt and lj are closer than tt and dw. That said, nothing has been won or lost yet - so all we have is preference which bc of that it's a harder sell Agreed. All of the preferences are fine now, but once things play out and they are final it is what it is.
  6. You must be a hoot to watch games with too. Be a fan of the team, not the player. Excellent, well informed fan - you are.
  7. I think it could be, and there have been posters that have offered very well thought out ideas of ways the board could fall and those picks stay. It's an uphill battle however, bc the majority of the fan base seems to want some sort of sniff at a top guy. Being real, there is a chance we get shot out and there is disappointment. Dont confuse excitement as tolerance and dont confuse this post as one of the aforementioned good shut out scenario takes.
  8. More than any other prospect there seems to be a divide. The odd thing to me is, his fans are constantly posting things like the above. Now that poster isn't really wrong and he has put together what amounts to a solid argument for Jackson. My guess is that it's essentially a futile effort. Now, personally, I really like darnold, rosen, and Allen in that order. I can be talked into liking or getting behind mayfield. There in lies the difference. Most people who dont like Jackson probably can't be talked into liking him the same way someone who dislikes one of the big 4 can be talked into getting behind them. After Tyrod (of course there are differences) people are probably just fed up w that style to a degree. With out getting into the advantages and disadvantages, it's just that simple. I'm sure he is a good kid. If the Bill's draft him I'll fall in line... but for those reasons, I think ya like Jackson or you dont. There probably won't be much fence jumping as one might encounter with the other guys.
  9. I suppose I have no choice but to excuse you, even though this was deemed important enough for it's own thread but yet the only thing anyone got out of it is you have a kinda funny avatar.. Also, let the record show you literally ASKED to be given ****. Make up your mind!
  10. So? What Beane thinks is all that matters. I doubt he will call to ask how you feel. But, if and when the time comes - be sure to let him know!
  11. If I knew this would happen before I fell asleep I'd find a nicotine patch and do it right!!
  12. I'm HOPING this is just you being funny. I found it funny.. and maybe it went over a head or two as watching highlight reels will never show the throws he didn't make, or the ints. Makes it rain TDs!! I'm not sure why this is a good idea, but ya got a chuckle out of me!
  13. Doubling down on the lazy take eh? I'm sure there is some other cliche riddled response this sets up..
  14. Not in the least! I'd just rather not debate something that is purely speculative and happened 15 years ago. There is no right answer and a take simply depends on how you felt about his tenure in the 1st pLace. In the end, who cares? Not me
  15. This is really how you want to spend your wed am? Talking about Drew Bledose and how he could have played had he stuck 1 more year?? Geesh, no thank you.. we have qb prospects to speculate over!!!;)
  16. I read this more as BPA, but I see why you could take that away. Unfortunately (and I appreciate the article) it doesn't really move the excitement needle
  17. Lol, yup! 1 more year of Bledsoe would have been MUCH preferable to the bonfire that occurred. Even if it was an eventual easy changing of the guard. That was REALLY bad.. yikes. Besides, he went 9-7 the and chucked it for 3k yards his 1st yr w the cowboys. I wlda signed up for that for 1 more year!
  18. Hard to answer. Bledose was probably the most talented, but we didn't get him during his best years and probably kicked him to the curb too early. Flutie, had success to a degree but he is more remembered fondly as the little guy with a big heart and who got jobbed by Ralph. Tyrod brought the Bills back to the playoffs, but this season has happened a few times before and this time we just got the bounces right. Fitz was fun and he had fun times but has settled into a journeyman role. orton? Well he was hoot and we will always have Detroit, minny and his cigar. Tough one. In the end I'm left wondering.. why do i have to think about this...yuck;)
  19. @26CornerBlitz Thank you for these threads. Especially over the last couple days. I'm not sure why some people dislike them as they are essentially a news feed rather than sifting through 20 pg posts looking for actual news every few pages. It is essentially what the front home page used to be.. all relevant content in one place. I'm sure it isn't easy and takes time. Thank you, and it's much appreciated!!
  20. I get this point, but I've heard this broken down a couple times and explained that it's not that he questions in that he disagrees or would do it different, but rather he is very smart and in order to fully understand or learn he simply isn't satisfied with the direction but rather wants to understand why and the dynamics of it. I perceive that as a type of learning. Some people are hands on, some people are text book, me personally, I understand bc I understand something better when I get the context. He sounds like a bright dude so maybe it's next level BUT it also sounds like why it is the way it is would introduce a broader understanding. Like the type of qb who knows his role as well as everyone else's. That excites me bc the special ones seem to have that trait. I guess I'm just saying there seems to be a misunderstanding and some context to it where it doesn't have to be a bad thing and maybe is a good thing!
  21. How is that well known? Bc u heard some random pundit say it and are not parroting it? I dont even mean this to be a jerk.. but this isn't common perception so it can't really be the basis of an argument. Small price to pay, a pittance, if it is your guy - the hopeful fqb
  22. Doc and I have had some good talks to this point:)
