  1. What just happened?? Does anybody now??
  2. I think you misunderstood my comments as actually entertaining this. It was a nice way of implying this is so out of touch with reality no one -let alone the teams involved- would consider this and that's if they were doing this on Madden .... bc I promise you, this isnt something that happens in real life
  3. Man... you dream big!! Not only do you want to give up what some consider to be close to or one 2nd rd pick above asking price for #2 (which still might not get NY to budge and go to 12) you ALSO want a high profile WR tossed in for good measure? Which leads me to wonder... Have you paid attention to the OBJ saga? Have you paid attention to NYs asking price? Have you paid attention to HIS asking price? Have you paid attention to the Bill's cap this year? Have you noticed the type of player that's come in vs left (inc watkins) in the last year? I'm sorry to be the one to break this to you... But the dream is over
  4. I'm sad to say... The ONLY reason I clicked on this thread was to laugh at someone laying out their half baked plan for the Bills missing out on the top 4, TT quitting the Ponies, and Buffalo taking a flyer and in return He leads us to the Ship. Now I'm kinda disappointed- there was potential for the dumbest of the dumb threads. Maybe there is hope afterall!!;)
  5. Seriously? This is some serious Roswell conspiracy stuff
  6. Fair enough. The Mora thing though.. that was totally in the context of his answer. The question wasn't who is the best QB. Cleveland situationally isnt the best spot for Rosen. His former coach knows, and even the kid probably knows. I feel there is a big difference between the best qb, and who the browns take at #1. It's not even the small market thing as Buf and Cle are on the same peg there.. 1 shows signs of competence and one is a raging dumpster fire with 1 win to their name.the other things I totally get holding against him even if they could be deemed sterotypical. I listened/watched to the Mora thing live and didnt for a second think there was an issue until later when the media blew it up
  7. Sssoooo.... I although i dont agree, I'll pick my battles and leave the Bradford body alone... but Cutler? Why knock someone for a perception that perhaps you've over exaggerated? I changed my mind on the Bradford thing... Another unfair perception. We dont personally know this kid. The 2 reasons you've knocked him are just kinda sterotypical. I mean if that's the road ya wanna go - feel free. It just seems a bit dismissive. Then again, you are essentially saying his knee will become concussed and he will need to wear a head brace...
  8. You seem to have this figured out better than anyone no?
  9. But yet we still click...
  10. The question is... what will we argue about when it's over?
  11. Appreciate the time we had together. I totally get why there is sarcasm and as many have pointed out - he came up huge for perhaps the biggest play of all last year. Was he a polarising figure? No.. Was he a good guy to have around in a pinch? I can get behind that. Thanks Joe! We will always have the snowgame!
  12. haha right? HE was the reason I finally said screw it and started posting. He said something so totally off the wall it actually motivated me to participate. I guess, for that Im thankful in that regard bc I've been lucky enough to partake in many great convos and discussions I wouldnt have had otherwise. That aside, when someone starts incorporating the question "am I being punked?" into their posts that are supposed to be funny/snide/aggressive - it gives me pause. The whole issue is trying to find whatever page he is on and stay there long enough to have a conversation. If trying to make me look silly by asking a question that I havent heard anyone talk about in 15 years as a reference point - maybe thats the issue. Maybe I cant figure out what page he is on bc hes simply just that far behind. Honest question @PetermanThrew5Picks .... and I'm not asking you to choose a side or anything... but the aforementioned plan I spoke of.... Isnt that a display of foresight and planning? Knowing a qb rich class was coming and he would have HIS GM by then, kicking the can and adding a pick (regardless of how this plays out now) to put them in position to draft a guy the two of them deem a potential FQB - that could be argued as having a thought out plan with reasoning followed by execution right? Just making sure this isnt 4DChess here and its my bad for not explaining this clearly I still cant figure out what this guy talking about passing on talent and Andrew Luck and Ray Lewis?? Thanks!!
  13. Brian Brohm lol. Kinda funny 3 are former Bill's now
  14. Bring your A game, or dont bother. The fact that I laid points out line by line and you still have a difficult time keeping up leads me to believe you aren't reading, or your own opinions have closed your mind off to the degree you might as well not even bother. For instance, what are you even talking about passing on andrew luck or ray Lewis? How do they enter a conversation in relation to last years draft? In fact, the ONLY personal shot I've ever taken was at you. And honestly, there are so many excellent posts and great fans here I wish my cynicism never had to be expressed. There is however a vast group of fans that post here. Some are super football smart and are kind enough to share their knowledge with us. Others take their time to make sure we are essentially as well informed as we want to be by taking their time to post the lasest news and updates. Some fans aren't as informed and use this as a form to learn and grow their football knowledge. That's totally cool too! Ya gotta start somewhere. My cynicism shines and comes into play when someone like yourself prides themselves in their knowledge and understanding but they aren't quite there yet. Everyone has an opinion and that's great! It's what makes a place like this tick. It's when the opinions turn to closemindness that really gets me. You've said some of the most outlandish things out of anyone on here, which, I maintain is fine. Say what you want. To each their own. You cant call me creepy for reading a post YOU signed YOUR NAME to and remembering it bc of how outlandish it was. You are posting on a message board. Like it or not, you are judged by what you type. Again... just crazy logic. But, when you double down and start with the nonsense and then decide you opinion is the end all be all and cant even keep up with the conversation you initiated? My patience runs out. Honestly, I'm a nice guy... you just rub me the wrong way. Case in point your latest response. Not once did I say or infer they specifically passed on talent. I did however say, they/he had a plan and seems to have executed it quite well. Do you not pay attention to how the circle of life with regimes generally works? Again.. if you want to have a big boy convo (which again, you initiatied) this SHOULDNT need to be explained. You honestly cant see how much better a position this team is in this year bc of the way McD handled last years draft? That he had the foresight to see a strong class and how obtaining an extra pick (and still landing a stud mind you) would set this team of going forward once HIS GM was in place? And against my better judgment bc I'm a nice guy, I'll STILL give you the benefit of the doubt and say EVEN if you still cant see how this situation came to be or think it was a bad plan... the fact that there was a plan and it was adhered to is leaps and bounds above the last regime. These are all things we could have a great conversation about if you weren't still stuck on something about passing on talent?? So if you need to call someone a sad man to deflect the fact that you are in over your head fine. Go spend sometime in the minors and when ya wanna give it another go - I'll be here for ya. Besides, the least I can do is help...
  15. Never cease to amaze. Your latest attempt at humor has sadly shown how little you are working with and why everyone is always trying to catch you up. The facts.... You are a new coach ✔ You know OR have a VERY good idea the person you are working with won't be your GM in the coming weeks ✔ You have a semblance of a plan that won't involve said GM✔ There is what is considered to be a top qb class (maybe even then more than now) coming out the following year ✔ You have a placeholder an who will suffice for a year and has taken a paycut✔ You added a 1st rd pick by trading back✔ Armed with these facts, you are honestly admitting, publicly, that YOU cant see why it might have been a good idea to kick the can? Get your gm, get some ammo, get a plan AND THEN make what could potentially be a job altering decision? I gotta tell ya - you've had some pretty bonkers takes but I've always at least respected I could see where you were coming from. IF you HONESTLY cant see the reasoning and thought process behind this I am legit worried as for the amount of posts you have here, there shouldn't be this big of a learning curve. This isnt even opinion based... I mean, it just is what it is. My wife gets it and has conversations at this level. I'm hoping you've grossly misunderstood something bc this is just basics man. Basics!! I want even trying to dog you before, but after a response like that... I dont even know man...
  16. This is what happens to a thread when math becomes a prominent focal point. If this keeps up guys, I'm gonna have to bust out the abacus
  17. I'm not in love w allen... but mcbeane isnt stupid. They have to be well aware of the situation you laid out. Knowing that, if he really is their target (and let's face it you can pay attention to EVERYTHING or NOTHING and odds are you wouldn't have a better grip either way of who their guy is) and he is their choice... well, that... THAT gets me excited. You dont do everything you just mentioned to fail or be a wishy washy with it. They will have have big and well thought out plans, which means who ever they choose (if given the chance) has big potential. Granted they haven't had as long... but this isnt whaley/rex, nix, Brandon bumbling. I feel like in a perfect world if they get their guy- we can hope for these big things bc they seem to know what they are doing. I'm not usually Mr optimistic but compared to who has been through here the last 10+yrs - I feel like these are the guys best suited for a play/move this big and I'm glad NOW is when the pieces came together
  18. The above poster was also working as Allen being the 'worst' is a given. The article on page one about scouting things that are givens was an interesting spin and one that makes sense. I dont understand why some insist on pretending Allen is being propped up and the hype is smoke and mirrors. Now I'm personally not a Jackson fan, but that's due to the style of play. The Bill's recently jettisoned a similar skill set so it would seem redundant to then opt for the upgraded version. That said, I respect Jackson as a prospect and although I dont want him to be Bills property, I get the infatuation and if that's the road they want to take then so be it. With everything up in the air it's almost foolish to develop a bias bordering on hate or absolutes (bust) at this point bc any of them could be the future... not to mention we aren't GMs or in control of the Bill's assets/decisions
  19. Can't argue w that! Whaley was on the t biscuit train... I think its smart on McD and maybe even to a lesser degree Doug in that it was known a new gm will be coming with his vision. Why saddle a new gm with someone elses choice? It's not like whaley was a qb whisperer and couldn't miss. Having the foresight to realize a new gm might like to pick his guy, the best thing to do was defer, gain ammo, and give him the best shot to do something w ot in a qb rich class. I'd think 99/100 times (exception passing on a cant miss stud) that's the smart thing to do.
  20. Why not 2 senerios in 1 thread? Both involve the Bills being shut out of QBs... but I digress. Regardless, why bother with convoluted what if senerios? What will be will be and from there we roll with it. I hope like hell they get up if that's the desire, but fretting does no good. So we wait..
  21. please dont pretty please with a cherry on top
  22. Just fwiw... I do agree mahomes Watson and Allen are similar in ways BUT it could have plenty to do with the kid as well. Maybe his skill set/personality is idea for them etc.
  23. Did the wind break this board today?
  24. Aaannndddd that seems to have gone right over your head lol. There's just an etiquette that doesn't include ignorance that would be helpful to a thread of this nature if you want to play host. Asking people to participate rather than make fun of would go better for you if you nurtured the discussion rather than acting like you have an answer key to the dumbest test ever. As someone who seems to almost trying to build a name for themselves via content based on your style of posts here, youd think you wld get this. I wld call this thread many things. POLORIZING is not one of em.
  25. Lol. How do you author a thread, encourage people to talk about a topic that is neither here nor there (which personally I think is kinda silly but to each their own by all means) and then totally shoot down and dismiss someone elses opinion and matter of factly state you are correct?!?! If you choose to play host of the thread that's up to you, but to ask for opinions and then just shoot em down and bluntly dismiss them isn't a good look. If u wanna start these threads, dont be that guy on top of it. ESPECIALLY when there is no right answer!!! And, to avoid the I didnt give my opinion retort - Flutie captivated Buffalo in a way only OJ has done and that was more national and for the wrong reasons. The fact that all these years later people still disagree with the decision in that titans game lends credence to this argument. Whaley has the sammy trade and now a days - who cares? +1 for Flutie.
