I get it. I disagree with your comment. I disagree with basing ANY opinion on what a coach on another team says who has a stake in a qb falling to them. The article is the article and I thank you for the read. I was simply saying I think the issue is that you seemed to put stock in it and asked people if they agree. It's why you garnered the responses you did.

No one is unrelaxed. I simply asked a question. It's not even a crazy question as other people seem to have posed the same one I did. Maybe the way you framed the question is the issue. With respect, my initial answer was the most common answer in the thread. That should tell you all you need to know. I'm all for people posting articles, but people take away what they will. The additional question is prob the downfall if there is deemed to be one.

Agreed, I was expecting to read it and find a nugget that was new that would be detrimental to a trade up but pretty much everything has been covered except kings speculation. That said, when giving your opinion of who your draft, as the writer, extra picks do nothing for you. He gave the option each time it was appropriate, but said who had pick. Good read, but not a needle move either way imo

If I was GM and had to do one of these every year just for s&g, I'd open with casually announcing a big move. Throw all the reporters off their game by announcing a trade right off the bat lol. Probably among the reasons I wouldn't make a good GM lol

I'm not sure you can trade crazy. It sucks, and I'm not implying this is you bc I dont know your thoughts but it always amazes me how people suggest trading an asset we no longer want bc of the headache and there is some sort of perceived value in that. A physical examination is the only permissible reason for a team to bring a draft-eligible player to its city and/or training facility before the draft. Players cannot be put through any physicals drills or timed. They are allowed to take written tests. For example, when the Bills visit UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen in California for a workout, Rosen can throw for Bills' personnel. When Rosen comes to One Bills Drive, he can't. However, players who attend college or whose hometown is in the same metropolitan area can be timed and otherwise put through drills.

I agree. Somehow I missed this thread, but saw it on Twitter. What I didnt understand and maybe someone can clear up is the Browns motivation to do this. 1 goes to 2, and 4 goes to 12. Taking a hit like that would require some serious compensation- so as much fun as it is to believe and read stuff like this- when I try and picture it in reality I get stuck on that. Maybe that's the 'other compensation ' but I cant imagine what that would be unless someone gets the Bills 2019 1st or something etc Not to mention, where do the Broncos come into play as the title suggests? Rather than start a new thread for something very similar, I think I can pose a question without taking this terribly off topic. The OP lists many options including NOT trading up. It's impossible to know so everyone is speculating but ASSUMING we trade up - what is the sweet spot? Dont mess around, dont take chances and pay the price for 2? Take a chance and wait for the Jets and try to pry 4? If 5 is there for the taking and 2 is not for sale 4 could be important if someone else is also thinking about a move up. If the Browns are happy w their picks and refuse to move, 5 is after 4 (stay with me here lol) so that could be ripe for picking if Elway kicks the can to later or next year. Will the colts trade down again? Bucs seem to be selling if someone is still there... In the end, not knowing who falls etc - when you are watching on draft night - right now, where will you be expecting to hear the trade ding??

Question.. do sad and confused 'actions' cause negative rep points? Not that it means anything but it seems odd that if someone says something REALLY dumb and it gets 5 confused actions it looks like a positive in the end.

The 1st thing that comes to mind is that past regimes have failed bc they may have tried a stunt like that. Maybe its selling them short but the point is I'd guess these guys realize the flip side to your points is it would be a distraction and isnt in the same vein as the other moves they have made to try and mold and build a culture around here. Just my 7 cents.
