I feel similar reading the gang green. There is a thread about is anyone worried about the Bill's jumping to #2 and giving the Jets one less option and getting a higher crack at a pick opposed to leftovers. It's full of responses like if they wanna ruin their future and overpay them they are dumb and f the Bills. If I was a jets fan - I'd say hell ya that bothers me. I want to have the pick of the litter etc unless we love a guy they wont take anyway. They kinda hedge their bets in the Jets are smart bc they wanted the 3rd best guy all along so it wont matter... Whatever ya gotta tell yourself I guess, but its natural to try and be tough guy, laugh and say it's ok but deep down you know you are just trying to rationalize it. They/we play things down we know we cant have and say we didnt want them anyway... but it's kinda obvious. ESPECIALLY when they paid what they paid. It wasn't a cheap move. To do that and then still have 1 less whack after moving 3 spots seems pretty hypocritical. I guess it's why it didnt bother me when they went to 3 bc I was worried about that move and then having someone slot in at 2. If darnold ends up being there at 3 and we couldn't trade up? Heck ya I'd be jealous!! Hopefully that isnt the case though. Point being, I wonder how many people who dont want darnold say that bc he cant be had. I guess the only way wed find out if they landed him!

100% agree. Hate comes with establishment though. Which, poses an excellent question of what it is prior to establishment. I'll straight up say, I dont have one. I dont know. I was one of the people very high on Christian Hackenburg for example. I was hoping and thought he might have a bit of Manning's mind and being cerebral was a big part of it. I figured the rest could be learned, but that ability to be a field general at the line could be something that puts a guy over the hump. Man.. I was wrong. So I dont know anymore. Now I guess I just watch as much as I can find on them and try to judge based on NFL throws and who seems to be good at what the pro game would be like. That's also very tough because you can dominate at the college level and those NFL traits might not be able to be judged bc the opportunity never presents itself. From there I think guys kinda remind me of pros. I could be dead wrong and prob am - but I see a lot of Rodgers and Ryan in Rosen... which is why I want him so bad. Watching Darnold is totally different but as people have said - he has a little Favre to him... but it's all not on display yet. Oddly, there are no stats involved... but I'm also done pretending I know a damn thing about how these guys turn out. I just know what I like and what I dont and keep an open mind.

I'm in the do anything for a qb camp, and 3 1's for #2 is something I'd do.... but for #4? When at least 2 QBs are already gone? Yuck! Esp when rumors for 5 have much less trading hands. Seems like a CLE fan greatly overvaluing #4 as we all tend to do at times... I suppose this enters the is your guy there territory and will you be jumped otherwise catagory. Ie, I do 3 ones for #2 if Rosen is there. If the player is the same at #4 and it's that or nothing, in THAT senerio - then so be it. I can make an argument for the player value staying the same if the pick value is different. Only way I can justify that though..

And there didnt seem to be any certainty as implied, just speculation or hear say...

We all have druthers. Personally darnold/rosen are my A list, Allen/mayfield B list so my only disappointment is it wasn't my top group but if he is who they like then giddy up and let's go. At the very least it'll be fun to look forward to his potential and trying to grow into it!

I hope Rosen becomes the next Rodgers. That short 15 min doc on YouTube showing the process was an excellent watch. It just shakes out sometimes like that. I hope if given the chance we dont pass. Thanks!

I get it. I disagree with your comment. I disagree with basing ANY opinion on what a coach on another team says who has a stake in a qb falling to them. The article is the article and I thank you for the read. I was simply saying I think the issue is that you seemed to put stock in it and asked people if they agree. It's why you garnered the responses you did.

No one is unrelaxed. I simply asked a question. It's not even a crazy question as other people seem to have posed the same one I did. Maybe the way you framed the question is the issue. With respect, my initial answer was the most common answer in the thread. That should tell you all you need to know. I'm all for people posting articles, but people take away what they will. The additional question is prob the downfall if there is deemed to be one.

Agreed, I was expecting to read it and find a nugget that was new that would be detrimental to a trade up but pretty much everything has been covered except kings speculation. That said, when giving your opinion of who your draft, as the writer, extra picks do nothing for you. He gave the option each time it was appropriate, but said who had pick. Good read, but not a needle move either way imo

If I was GM and had to do one of these every year just for s&g, I'd open with casually announcing a big move. Throw all the reporters off their game by announcing a trade right off the bat lol. Probably among the reasons I wouldn't make a good GM lol
