Idiot. I remember him of course, but what REALLY got me is when I was a kid I had a 3 panel white auto ball. Over a couple years my dad had taken me to enough signings to where there was getting to be only 1 panel left as the other 2 had gotten pretty full. The 3rd had a couple strays but was still largely untouched. Dickerson was at a signing that wasn't billed as his signing... he was just kinda there. Fina finished and set the ball to the side. This fool musta had nothing to do bc no one wanted his auto and he grabs my ball and took up THE WHOLE OPEN PANEL 'the ol' coach' WGR550. Even back then that pissed me off....

It is what that particular market and hobby dictates. People collect players, hot rookies, certain releases etc and as a result a new release of a high end product with a rookie and a 1 of 1 has a market where prices like that are paid. Like anything hobby wise if you aren't into it yourself you'll think it's crazy. It just is lol I personally collect Bills game worn jerseys from the late 70s to early 90s but specifically, Jim Kelly. I own 1 of 4 Gamblers home Kelly jerseys, an away 87 Kelly with a hand warmer built in, and the white throwback from the Oilers game in 94. Those 3 particular Kelly jerseys are worth quite a bit more from a value stand point than any one of my other ones from random games between 1987 and 1996. To anyone else, a Kelly gamer is a Kelly gamer. To me, the others have traits that make them more desirable or significant. Again - just the hobby

I work for a company that does this. It really does get to be gambling... kinda crazy when ppl have multiple cc and ones their wives aren't aware of... and have things sent to work so the wife doesnt find out... As for the card, very nice. The shame about 1 of 1s is, if you have 100 1 of 1s how rare is it really? Certain players get big $$ but Allen has yet to achieve hot rookie status. People can sell things for whatever they want. Getting asking is a totally different story. Nice pull and prob worth a couple hundred at the moment. Of note, the other time besides a prospect reaching their full potential cards are worth more is right after release... so be mindful of that as well.

Do we have the worst QB situation in the league?
gobills1212 replied to Seanbillsfan2206's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nailed it. Great take. It's a great unknown, and it is what it is. 4 games in it could be a raging dumpster fire, a rookie at the reins, or a former backup making a name for himself. Makes it incredibly hard to predict which makes for a vast array of outcomes for the 2019 season. -
Jersey Numbers for the New Veteran Bills
gobills1212 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Outdated photo. Some large sizes remain for charity ones, but most last year were updated. They are still a year behind with the v of the neck, but they need to burn through old stock somehow:) Side note, I get people like how cheap the knockoffs are... but man some of those are terrible. Hardly worth the $30 they sell for. At least we dont see patriots font on Bill's jerseys like a few years back, but the Bill's logo above the name plate is usually way small and the word mark below the collar is like 4x the correct size. Small details, but as a game used collector and Jersey nut... it drives me nuts lol -
Jersey Numbers for the New Veteran Bills
gobills1212 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You have to go to the web site and customize an Elite jersey for $300 +. The Bills are actually one of the few teams who dont stock Elite level to buy in their team stores. One of the better ways to get one is there seem to be a ton that the Bills make in house for charity auctions etc. They tend to pop up on Ebay and other auction or classifieds sites. Because of this, they actually have the TV numbers the team wears on field. The outline is a little thicker and the inside of numbers like a 4 are filled in. The ones from retail have a different style of numbers and stitching but the jersey itself is the same. 'Game jerseys' are 100 msrp which are iron on, and the middle level for 175 msrp is a limited vapor jersey which looks like its sewn but actually isnt. It looks better, but is still the same material unlike the expensive ones that have a solid and mesh fabric mix. Fwiw -
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Behavioural_sciences Is there a line? Or are people just born a certain way?

That is UGLY!! That said, those jerseys are amazing. I've got a white 94 throwback Kelly gamer and a blue 94 Davis and Fina gamer. Those are amazing. Very nice style and Champion killed it. Side note, for whatever reason the Bill's throwbacks for 94 are impossible to find. I only know of two others that exist in the collecting community. Other teams throwbacks are all over the place. I think most had tent sales while Buffalo never did.

Hopefully, this becomes the mind set with most fans. Hes ours now, and the next however many years stand to be pretty miserable if people stay bitter. It is what it is, so why not get excited?

EXACTLY why I think Beane blew the '18 draft. -Rd. 1
gobills1212 replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But here's the thing... And maybe you took that a bit the wrong way.. But I HATED the Allen pick. Like, my wife didnt know i got that mad. I walked away and didnt even see the other trade. I sulked all the next day as well. But then a funny thing happened! I got over it and realized he is now our guy and there is potential in the pick. They picked him for a reason, and i dont need to get behind that reason - but I'm also not the GM ov the team. So, I can deal with it and look forward to the possibility of reaching his potential OR I can be miserable for the next four years and secretly spite McBeane each and every time the kid does something boneheaded. It's an easy choice - I root for the Bills. Allen is now their guy. Go Allen, Go Bills. Pretty cut and dry! -
RD1, Pick 7: Josh Allen QB - Wyoming
gobills1212 replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly, as i mentioned in other threads, everything is relative to a few different pov. When the dust settles and we know who we have it's easier to figure out your personal feelings. Take Jets fans for example. Over on their site, there was a thread that was essentially asking are you scared the Bill's could jump to 2 for Darnold. In the weeks leading up, it was full of NO responses with reasoning knocking the kid and Mayfield is who they wanted. They called him a poor prospect and the least guaranteed/project. At that point, it was more fear masking true feelings to accept he wont be there and they are better off w Mayfield anyway. Now, Sam is theirs and it's totally different. Now, he was the best qb in the draft and it was super smart. Human nature dictates this to a degree. It is what it is, and if we dont adjust and get excited... the next few years will be miserable and suck. Allen is ours. I was very upset it wasn't risen, but I've come around and this kid was in consideration for #1 over all. Biggest boom or bust.. and if it works- again IF- we are golden!! -
Did the Bills REALLY get their guy?
gobills1212 replied to Scorp83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lol, i live in buffalo dude. I was going to ask if all people in Buffalo are as slow as you - but obviously that isnt the case. You did however prove there are exceptions. Case in point! I would have always guessed Darnold was #1 so I wld have agreed with you. But, when it was said the Bill's were the only team to actually talk to Allen that day and they spent some time discussing the situation it kind of made me think he was the target from the get. I too wld love to know how bad they wanted 2 for darnold. Double eade sword knowing if they didnt/couldnt they'd have to face him 2x a yr. For their sake I hope Allen always was the target. I also wonder if he was, how worried they were about the #1 to cle rumors..
