Youd *think* before someone decides to offer such a take, they would try to fact check it even if its just a bit. As was the narrative with his signing, his contributions dont often show up on the stat sheet and thus often go unnoticed. Right or wrong, it was the most often brought up comment. It makes a little googling even more important. At the very least, check to see if there are already 10 other posts bashing the player. That more than anything else might tip you off that it might be kinda wrong.. either way, even if it was correct there seems to be, like, 10 other things that are more important to correct/fix/replace than a role D player who at the very least hasnt had his name called often this year.

Excellent state of the union. The quicker people realize this the better. It sucks. It is what it is. Im going to keep watching and see the growth. For all the people expecting the playoffs and screaming how terrible they are, you are going to be upset and if threatening to turn it off makes you feel better - fine. Its like we are all fans of the same team, but reading some things people actually think is more frustrating than the game. We know last week was a bit of an anomaly, we know we are going to have ups and downs with a rookie qb, and we know the line and wr are poor and you guys STILL act like this team was superbowl bound and its a shock to have games like this. Take your teams lumps and grow from it... not whine and complain like sterotypical wafer fans.

Agreed, and imo, both are pretty lazy comps. At least i understand the rosen/cutler. I take reading the comments w a grain of salt bc i have no idea how much they watch or what their football IQs are, but there are plenty of other big arm qb busts to compare him too and their attitudes seem to be night and day. A lot of it is in the eye of the beholder. I dipped in the vikings ingame chat just to read and was suprised to see them complaining they hated allen bc he was super cokey. I didnt see that at all, but again... to each their own

Oddly, looking at comments on allen vids and other teams message boards they seem to think allen is a modern day cutler. Fwiw, u dont need to convince me hes not as i didnt say it - i just thgt it was funny so many ppl wanna compare someone to cutler...who was a modern day jeff george. I think the biggest problem w comparisions or judging is that 2 of these guys havent even made their 1st start let alone have a chance for a sophmore slump. We have no clue what any of these guys will develop into. Its not fair to allen for example to say we finally found our guy after last week and those same folks will be saying he is a bust if he regresses next week. I dont see why its so hard to not get too high or too low and judge the season as a whole rather than going bonkers after each game.

Prob say something stupid like the almost saftey last week. He didnt actually possess it to catch it - maybe they said he didnt posess it to throw it. Made it 10x worse not overturning it. Regardless of saying they just care about the right call, there is still a matter of pride involved. Im 30 and umpire as well as still play hardball. I have adjusted the temper in later years in re: to giving umps crap while playing. If i make a call, ill often call time to confer with the other ump before its even asked for bc at the end of the day i want the call to be correct. Coaches usually wont give you crap as long as youve made an effort to ensure it was correct and even if they dont agree, at least they respect it. What i cant stand is umping with or having an old man ump who cant even wobble half way across the infield to make a call and then refuses to huddle when asked bc they are so sure they got the call correct the 1st time. Good part is they generally cant hear either so you can get it out under your breath:)

I can only speak for myself, but i wlda taken your word for it. Taking 'pics or it didnt happen' to a new level;) That said, the opposite way - Utica/Watertown is technically Bills country. Utica for example even though its slightly closer to BUF than NYC was always Jets territory UNTIL the Bills started winning in the 90s. They changed to Bills on local tv and never went back. I dont have the pictures to prove it, but Utica stores seem to offer equal Giants, Jets, and Bills gear. The NJ teams seem to sell MUCH better and as a result - its a GREAT area to buy clearence Bills stuff CHEAP. The Burlington and Marshalls always sell out of the super discounted Nike Bills stuff QUICK, so its cool to walk in those stores there and have the pick of the litter of $150 Bills jackets, hoodiesx and polos for $20. Little pro tip fwiw

Man, those port hole sand knits are awesome! Took me years to track down a Kelly one. They are neat bc the numbers are sewn on fron and back with the big mesh holes and the tv numbers and name are screened. Shame they became illegal. Also, i was holding out hope for the throwbacks after seeing one in KBs locker but sadly wishful thinking.

I get folks wanting talent like maggots on poop, but wasnt Coleman enough? Good thought. This has always driven me nuts. Id imagine having the job for so long has allowed for self indulgence. His takes are what they are. Personally, i can listen to their actual football talk but often find myself yelling at the radio that no one cares about your stupid FF teams. I don't personally play, but everyone has their own teams. Why does this guy feel everyone cares about his?!?! Furthermore, i HATED that schmuck ryan gates. He would get off on self indulgent tangents and he didnt have the tenure to be able to do so. I was SSSOO happy when he was done and liked Joe. As of late, Joe has been getting worse imo. Many of his takes seem to have their limitations due to his lack of experience in being a buffalo fan. No fault if his own, bc hes a young guy.. but it bothers me that there is no criteria for having the mic. He doesnt have to he good or know what hes talking about - but he gets a mic to spew into anyway. It is what it is... and i could turn it off it i wanted lol I wish howard did the AM and sal did the pm. Best of our options at least

I dont know this as fact, but from what was said after the fact - if the Bills REALLY wanted Darnold, they could have figured it out. It wasnt worth it to them or Allen was rated higher... either way, its a moot point and at this point in time no one can say either is better and actually know what they are talking about.
