A thread of this ilk for the umpteenth time moves the needle just a bit more towards the aforementioned junk. Its so bad, sometimes i listen to one bills live (like yesterday when some idiot calls and goes on about how barkley should still be playing or nownthey can finally bring back brandon reilly) and the thought pops into my head 'hmmm, i wonder what that guys handle is'. I just shake my head and wonder bc some of these posts are like that now. I dont even mean to be negative about it and of course i cld just go on my merry way...but gee golly its a tough thing to to when you have to wade through 3 nonsense topics to find one that hasnt already been discussed 3x already! I get it, but ya gotta be reasonable. Dude just got done running all over the field. Like, litterally, all over the field. Then he has to launch a 60-65 yard pass in the air. Not for nothing, did you see how it came out? I dont mean this to be gym class hero-ish, but i can hit 50 yards in the air and have some control over where it goes. Maybe I can throw it 55ish with just chucking it to throw it as far as i can. What happens though, for that and anything after that is ya try and throw it too far and either grip it too tight or just over throw it and the result is a fluttery duck that doesnt go as far as just trying to throw a nice bomb. If you arent trying to throw it as far as you can, youll get a nicer pass. Its totally possible that at that point in that situation - a 60+ yard pass was all ( all...lol) he had. It got there and he needed help. In a vaccum he hits that throw. In THAT situation, its still impressive. At the end of the day, its not something i can rip on him for while sitting on my couch. Also, there is a reason Clay was down there wide open. Id imagine most thought it wasnt humanly possible to make that pass from the oppo hash. The kid almost proved otherwise

40 yds out, hash to hash... he did what he could. He needed a bit of help, and didnt get it. He willed that team and put em on his back. Pretty impressive stuff from the rookie today

I think the whites are just easier to match color wise. Much less blue makes the color pop less. A blue throwback would look odd in this itteration. It would however make for a nice 90s version fwiw

This is all determined way in advance bc teams could only wear them 2x. There was an adjustment to the rule last yr to 3 i think OR 2x and ALT... if that makes sense. It was implemented as a way to appease the teams who hated their color rush. Reg home and away can prob be adjusted the week of, but specialty ones are declared at the get. That also allows for these throwback matchups

For some prospective, its interesting to take a stroll over to THE GANG GREEN and read what they think. Majority still think Sammy D is the next Namath, while Allen is poo. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle with both as both fan bases are high on their guy and dont want to be wrong or the suckers taking the bust. Bottom line is most fans view will change x amount more times over the course of the season and then get sky high expectations going into camp mext year. I totally get it - but it still doesnt change the fact its a bunch of people talking like they know the facts when not a single person knows the truth or can see the future. Its fun to talk, but also kinda silly to speak in absolutes IMO

Hmmmmm Either people arent being truthful, or they are very easily swayed. This would be a VERY lopsided poll in the other direction last july. I guess it fits with the league being a 'what have you done for me lately ' type situation. I like Allen. I like his moxy. I also remember scaring the crap out of my dogs by yelling so loud after the allen pick that they didnt come back into that room for a good hour after the fact - both that they didnt get to #2 and they picked the wrong josh. My wife was a bit more positive however. As i said then, he is now our guy and itll be fun to root for him.... but if i felt that way then im not sure 7 starts should do much either way...
