  1. I just think Im not AS impressed with you after a qlty half season of football. I litterally hope you are correct!!
  2. Another reason for optimism but its kinda crazy there isnt a gauge. As it sits now he could be their best redzone threat and he could also not even make the roster. The hope however is what makes it fun and interesting!
  3. I seem to be pegged as thinking otherwise, but I agree with this. The kid showed flashes (stand out plays being long plays) and improvements as well as potential BUT a good half year isnt a huge revalation for any NFL player. He could kill it. He coukd not break through. Im a positive spin Bills fan, but im also trying to not be a homer and anoint the kid a star before he has accomplished and posted a standout season as a whole on his resume. Im not at all calling anyone a homer with blind optimism but in reading boards for other teams theres nothing worse than fans who think every quality player is a star in the making. Within reason i try to avoid being a hypocrite
  4. I dont disagree Doc, and i appreciate the links. I was impressed when it read it when it was written and I cant help but feel like you are trying to defend a point that isnt being argued. Im not trashing on Foster. Maybe he starts from the get - and maybe he takes that and runs with it. Maybe production lacks and he slips. A guy can do everything right and sometimes it just doesnt translate. We are all just as impressed with Allen, and same thing- he has the work ethic qnd the whole 9... its not a guarentee he will be a star. The sophomore slump is a real thing. Sometimes players experience it through no fault of their own. The end result is you cant change the way I feel. I feel better than I did about Zay after yr 1 (issues aside) but Foster is going to have to continue to do his thing and improve before the league takes him as a serious threat, and bringing this full circle, makes the pro bowl.
  5. Lol, ive seen it multiple times and respectfully please dont act like youve seen something i havent- as ill guess you have by your statment ive taken the time to watch each snap a couple times. Not that its a pissing contest bc i dont mean it to sound that way in the least - just that IF theres a difference in opinion it wont be anything other than we had different takeaways from the same source material. Also, in my followup (to Doc) im not even arguing it as it was more of a general statment as he showed growth and the ability to do different things but lets be real, his talent and game as a reciver has yet to come to fruition. If he was doing everything consistently well people outside of BUF would actually know who he was or not look at you like you have 3 heads if your rebuttel is " well, ya but we have Foster". Like Allen, the kid was showing flashes and growing into his talents. Both could have a killer year, but have yet to totally establish themselves as anything but talented players w potential. The original statment was projecting him as a pro bowler next year. I just think based on what hes flashed thats a bit of reach next year. IMO Allen would be more likley BUT again, i dont predict the future:)
  6. We will see - and thats part of the fun- theres no way to know. IMO just another aspect to a potentially reallt exciting year. Progress as a whole would be fun to watch and theyve finally been patient, have added the tools, and have taken steps where they could be a really good team on the rise. Personally, outside of a few pundits i dont think the Bills have been given a ton of credit. Other fans bases and some national as well still seem to think theyll be a doormat with a poor young qb. I think if all goes right this team could be a pleasant suprise. That said, Rex won himself an offseason too so we wont know until the bullets start flying how it shakes out. The Foster question is an excellent representation of the team as a whole imo. It could go really well, it could go bad, and it could be simply the next step to becoming a competitive football team.
  7. He may very well not be, but Im hoping (like allen) that the strides we got to watch him make over the course of long 'learning' season were the building blocks to the next level this coming season. Now that there are 'proven commodities' in the WR room (undoubtedly there will be varying opinions as to how 'proven' they be⚓#yarr-hownisntherenopirateenoji??) Im very interested to see if he continues his ascension to be a genuine weapon or if he struggles to stay relevant and only gets deep balls on occasion as a 3rd or 4th option. I hope its the former but we arent out of the woods yet IMO.
  8. I hope so. Im not sure why, but when people we say ' well we have Foster' that never really excited me. Maybe bc he was the 'best' of a bad bunch. Id like to see him be more than a 1 trick pony. Its a good trick, dont get me wrong, but he was essentially like a Goodwin (a burner who was faster) but he could catch (always felt that a ball was 50/50 even in Goodwins bucket). Maybe I was still a little down from early season errors. I dont dislike the guy and hope he excells at his role ESP of Brown happens to garner more attn outside and deep. I just am more hoping he can cement himself in a followup campagin than thinking Pro Bowl
  9. Common though, extension = more buyout $ and more $ for a raise. Wink wink type stuff
  10. I dont disagree, but i dont get why people are poo pooing this. Im all in on the Allen fan wagon. I think fans have a right to be excited. Allen is fun for all the right reasons as discussed all over this forum. Same way Jets and Browns fans are taken w their rookie qb. For fans of these teams, the sky is the limit. That said, its tough to be real about it and step back. Outside if Baker, no one has really proved anything. Baker will need to follow last years season up as well. Lots of reason for optimism, but passing judgment on any of these guys good or bad is still premature. Its a ton of fun to be optimistic, but lets not act like these guys futures are already carved in stone for better or worse. Rosen could change teams and come in and look like many Bills fans hoped he would look here in a few years - FQBish Allen has flipped a lot of the pundits who were on the fence to admit he flashed potential but his detractors still arent fans. Darnold and Baker have Cowherd banging their drums and even he is guilty of acting too certian (fwiw, he is a tool - but he fits the bill). Nationally, even guys in allens corner arent screaming his praise from the roof tops. Itll be a fun year and hopefully next yr Allen has the national love sam and baker have. But as of now, all the allen love is oretty region specific - and thats ok w me
  11. Lol, i get how media works but the interest its soliciting is dwindling and the feedback isnt exactly great which again leads back to the qlty of speculation. You might think its a wonderful topic to lead a conversation on but for example was THIS SPECIFIC speculation being discussed? No. Were there plenty of other draft speculation threads that could have sufficed as a platform or medium for you to pose your question? Undoubtedly. If it doesnt get legs there then its probably not worth a thread devoted to it. Look, im not in a position to say what is and isnt a quality post. What i think is good discussion you might not and vice versa. To each their own. During a high news period its a moot point. Im just saying it was a little annoying to click on a topic that from the outside looks like it might be a good read because of the tease title only to find out its just some random speculation that is really neither here nor there. Like the Pats dynasty thing. If youve watched football for the past however many odd years you know with brady and coach they are good enough to plug and play and turn which ever new or washed up part into a player of relavance. So did we really need a post with a click bait title only to speculate on how long itll last? Im just saying, if its found annoying and then a few hours later someone falls for it again eventually either no one clicks or the entire topic is laughing at the topic. Then your message board experience isnt any fun anymore either so everyone loses. No?
  12. im honestly not trying to be a complete richard, it just gets old. I think there is a middle ground between entertaining yourself and overkill - but the click bait titles. There was a time when threads were based in insight. The random specualtion stuff was Facebook conversations where someone posted every random thought that popped in their head in Bills groups and theyd kinda 'host' the discussion.... it was terrible. This boad was SSSOO much better. All the 'Trade next 3 1st round picks for Russell Wilson - Discuss' topics were there and this didnt have silly stuff like that bc there was a bit of a respect of others in that regard. Your topics could just as easily have been placed in ongoing threads. You make the news ones with misleading titles bc you feel your thoughts or ideas are better than others who contribute in existing convos. If you insist on using the board this way, can you at least keep it all in one thread instead of multiple per day? When '26' would start multiple threads per day they were news related with good articles or twitter news. These are just random thoughts w click bait titles And just pointing out again, we arent even discussing your theory for 2 1st rd picks anymore as its submarined into if its a valid thread or not which prob means its not. Again, theres probably a middle ground here
  13. This is the 3rd thread on the 1st page that has zero substance. Its Facebook stuff. All 3 thought could have been combined in one thread and maybe it would be worth a click. There was litteral ACTUAL news there...-like inside info that provided information of relavance. This is just rambling..
  14. Lol, the stereotypical policing of the thread police. Lame. Proof is in the pudding, you decide to do this silly dance rather than discuss the 'topic' at hand. You must be new, youll loose that 'pizzazz ' soon enough - i promise:)
  15. Even the titles are designed like they are click bait. If half as much thought was put in fhe substance as the title it might actly be worth the click. Sadly its like the creativity bubble burst and nothimg is left for the payoff
  16. Can someone please explain to this guy what exactly is "new thread worthy"?? Please??? Or just pick a thread and update it with todays "new idea" and update the post in the title if u care that much. Not a single one has been worthy to warrant its own thread and now they pop up quite often. If it dies bc there arent enough eyes, that shld tell ya something. If the goal is just to keep trying until one is worthy, please spare us - or ill pretend this is the one if youd like!
  17. Clearly you havent my friend lol. Thats the point. To a degree, it doesnt matter - next man up as long as TB and BB are there.
  18. It was part of a pro line new era classic team collection as each team had a version. Little over priced, but its dead stock so ya just gotta suck it up. You're welcome! https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-VINTAGE-90s-BUFFALO-BILLS-NFL-NEW-ERA-CLASSIC-COLLECTION-SNAPBACK-CAP-HAT-/302987200641
  19. Uhh, this makes me wonder what NE team YOU'VE been watching for the past 7 yrs?!??
  20. Now THIS is new thread worthy - thanks for the info. We get people posting new threads about their Bills dream they had last night, meanwhile excellent info such as this gets (correctly, but still..) added to the bowels of a David Culley thread. What a crazy world we live in!!!
  21. "You're travelling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind; a journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's the signpost up ahead - your next stop, the Twilight Zone!" Who knows - a few pundits have said Rosen would be #2 or 3 - take it for whatever you want bc we will never know- it will totally depend on how Allen-hyped one is
  22. Ok first I'm gonna say I am Josh Allen but I doN'T know him very well I've NOT been working out with him and Dez Bryant in California and let me tell you he's NOT ready to go and Dez Bryant is NOT trying to get obd to sign
  23. Da fah? And we tell plummers crack kills....
