Christian McCaffrey rumors
Rock-A-Bye Beasley replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
Show me the upgrades at guard that are available. I suggested McCaffrey and Corbett for a package of picks but fans here still didn’t want to part with their precious draft picks. -

first of all, loosen up and take more risk. Second, you imply we can’t afford him after this but are conveniently leaving out the possibility of a restructure and/or a trade after this season to recoup draft capital. it’s very unlikely he’s a pure rental -

The fans here who don’t want him regardless of compensation are absolutely insane. They’re not even worth arguing with. When you draft any player the best you can realistically hope for is always top 5 or top 10 at their position. CMC is already that and it’s a guarantee in a critical year. You don’t have to wait for him to develop and you don’t have to hope he does develop(Cook). We are still waiting on the players we drafted recently, as far back as 3 years ago (Epenesa), to fully develop. If you want to say giving up a draft pick for CMC is “mortgaging our future” you’re wrong for a couple reasons. (1) This team doesn’t have a ton of needs or roster spots. They are already losing day 3 players to waivers or PS poaching and have 8 picks in the next draft. It’s a certainty if they make all of those picks that some of them will be poached (or more past day 3 players). Even the 1-3 round picks will have a hard time being an upgrade to what they have. Also, the biggest areas of need are positions you generally don’t need to draft high IOL, S (2) Cap space. Some here are arguing his cap hit after this season is too high, while others don’t want to give up a draft pick for a “rental”. Both stances are foolish. As stated repeatedly in this thread CMC would have 3 non-guaranteed years of almost exactly $12mil/yr after this one. It’s the best possible situation for Buffalo. The chances of restructuring and lowering the cap hit are very high. Otherwise, cut bait for no penalty. But wait! There’s a third option where CMC is traded from Buffalo after the season to recoup at least some of the precious draft capital lost in the first place, again at no penalty. -
Oh I love him, he’s great and not a “diva”. Excellent idea

You’re probably right. I just think it’s worth it for a 2nd. We just drafted a guy we hope can be some form of CMC for us in the late 2nd so the real thing for at least one SB run is worth that to me. Then you add in the ability to trade him again in the offseason. -

Great, then flip them for draft picks after the season. Sure it won’t be a late first, but those players will have a lower cap hit. Think of it like trading down and getting help this year. Maybe you can get it done for much less compensation, I’m just saying I would be willing to part with the first since there is no future guaranteed money and they can be flipped to recover draft capital. -

I’d rather not give up the first obviously but that’s what I think it would take. I can’t believe bills fans still don’t want to add depth everywhere after all these injuries and the dolphins game. People really love future draft picks around here. -

McCaffrey and Corbett for our 1st. Hopefully both contracts can be restructured in a way where the players are affordable after this season, but if not, it’s an upgrade at guard and running back for a super bowl run this season. Then one or both players can be flipped in the off-season to recoup draft picks without cap penalty. -

Singletary is on the bills. He gets 11.6 touches a game currently. You don’t think they’d increase the RB touches if they had CMC? -

Singletary is averaging 11.6 touches per game this season, CMC would obviously get more, but to answer your question aside from the weird 9 touches part, yes -
The Minkah Theft - Question?

Short answer is yes -
It's fine I don't have a stance either way in this case, but that's what the other poster was getting at

If it's tied and KC has a 4th and 7 from their own 30, they will punt rather than risk losing

After this season Beane can cut, restructure, or flip him to recoup some assets. Not sure if the last option has been mentioned yet, but it would satisfy some fans here that are worried about giving up too much for a “rental” -
Anyone have a video of the 41yrd Diggs play right before the Cook TD?

Trade Deadline (Nov 1) Bills Rumors / Speculation
Rock-A-Bye Beasley replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh Jacobs would be a lot cheaper in both compensation to LV and salary. He's only 24 and on an expiring contact. Then, try to sign Beckham and use a 1-3rd round pick to upgrade the o line (if an opportunity presents itself). -

Ok it’s a miracle Josh worked out and I’ll kiss beane for taking a chance. I wanted Rosen based on draft experts’ scouting reports bit it worked thanks to Josh working on himself -

He held us back every playoff loss so far. It’s not only 13 seconds I was right then, in that I think you should use proper punctuation. But also, that McD doesn’t know anything about offense. He uses Tolbert, gore, and now moss as short yardage or “change of pace” -

david Culley was the QB coach. Nathan peterman was the starter. McDermott has no idea what he’s doing on offense. He’s lucky to have Josh Allen and that’s fine. Especially if he wanted him. edit: Bills have played Baltimore many times since
