Not sad about it. I saw it coming too. I just think it's ironic we might get the #1 pick the year after getting our QB. There's also no emotion for me regarding the team its just how it is. The emotion comes from people criticizing the negative posters who are correct and have been for as long as I can remember. Thank you, finally someone with something constructive. I'm excited about these players of course, just wish there was more around them.

All the people complaining about the negativity on this board. If just one of them had a single reason not to be negative about the coach and GM I'm willing to listen. So far all I've seen is MORE people attempting to make fun of me for complaining, which is the origin of the post.

Well I am. I threw out some serious questions I have about the coach and GM. I never said lose on purpose. Just that it's ironic we might get the #1 pick the year AFTER giving draft capital to get our QB. Thinking about it, but want to see how Allen plays.

Those of us who are negative all the time are right. We were right last year and the previous 17 years, and we are right this year. Is it a coincidence? Maybe, but everyone with rose colored glasses is has been and continues to be wrong. It's that black and white. You might say "We made the playoffs last year!" However, anyone who watched the team could tell they were completely inept on offense (and defense for a few games after trading Dareus) and had no chance at a superbowl (which is the goal of football in the NFL in case you forgot). So getting to kick a field goal in the playoffs only made us use draft capital to get the 3rd QB off the board. This draft capital was built by trading away talented YOUNG players at positions we currently desperately need help at. The above paragraph describes the BEST season the Bills have had in the past 18 years. This season it looks like they are the worst team in the league. Set up for the #1 overall pick. Which would have been great LAST YEAR. That way they could have used that draft capital on an offensive line and some WRs, and try to make the playoffs this year with their young QB. The irony is too painful to me and others on this board with half a brain. That is why we are negative. So I'm a little sick of hearing that we are being too negative after one bad game. It's not just one game. It's all the personnel moves (or lack thereof) that make no sense. It's the Jets-Chargers-Saints stretch last year. It's McDermott punting late in overtime against the Colts. It's a draw play on 3rd and 17 with a false start followed by a draw play on 3rd and 22 after the Ravens saw us attempt a draw play on 3rd and 17. It's the poor clock management, and it's the fact that despite the fact that they are in the second year of a "rebuild" they are the 2nd OLDEST team in the NFL.

Also, assuming you would have to use a 1st to get him. think of it as adding another one to trade up for a guaranteed HOF player. We did it for Watkins and Saints did it for Davenport this year.

I would've traded for Mack. Think of it as getting White, Edmunds, and Mack on your D for 4 1st round picks

Allen to me is looking better than anticipated in limited action. I agree with the OP, if he can have one good game with this supporting cast I don't draft a QB in the first.

I was about to post about this. They signed two FA WR and drafted one this offseason. Also drafted a guard in the second this year (Daniels from Iowa), not sure if they signed any FA for the online but their offense is looking good right now. Maybe the bilce can try to replicate that for next year.

The 3rd and 18 conversion alone. I wasn't a big fan of the Allen pick and am still skeptical, but 3rd and long has meant punt for this team for a long time

depends on the coach. I'd rather lose 54-0 with mcdermott because odds are we lose 28-26 after punting on opponents 40 yard line on 4th and short.

Who thinks the dog kicking thing was real? I know it’s not the most trust worthy source. I think the poster really believes he hired someone to attack her. So if you believed someone had done that to your friend would you also make up a couple of lies of lesser severity in order to slander the person? Why would that be necessary? It’s possible, but something tells me that hospital room wasn’t a writer’s room. The post was made out of anger and the specific nature of the dog claim makes me believe it’s true.

Slightly off topic but I was mildly annoyed by Tasker before the draft. Trying to make a point about not trading up. A couple times he referenced the colts and said, look at that franchise they’re in shambles despite having THE top QB prospect to come out in years. He then said Luck has never even won a playoff game.
