  1. Haha why aren’t you mad at the star contract then?
  2. Oh really? We would be mad that we couldn’t “afford” that star contract and John Brown?
  3. Sammy has what would have been the catch to send them to the super bowl if Dee Ford hadn’t been lined up “Offside” Dareus is better than Star and Sammy is better than any receiver we have had since.
  4. You can still compare the two. And to answer your question much much better. MVP and 50 TDs. That doesn’t happen because you got to watch Alex Smith for a year and had good playmakers. Allen would not have done that or even come close. Just watch him play! But going along with what you’re saying even though I disagree with the premise. This is a thread about how great of a job this regime is doing and you just described the rookie QB ‘s situation as horrific. Who’s to blame for that?
  5. Sure you can. Mahomes is much better. It’s not even close and it’s not because of the supporting cast. Same with Watson. Two seasons in a row with 103 rating. Last year this an arguably worse oline than Allen (sacked 62 times)

  7. And he is correct. How was the Jags defense last year.
  8. How can you feel more confident in the FO than the QB when they botched the QB situation so badly last season? Not to mention every move on offense has been a complete disaster with Allen possibly being the only exception.
  9. Um ok yes you are right about a completely different point. Never said anything about him compared to other gms , but go ahead and move the goal posts so you can feel better.
  10. Agreed. That’s all I’m saying, it was wrong. Keep in mind I’m only reacting to the extra credit some Boy Scout wanted to give Beane for the tyrod trade while turning a blind eye to any other mistakes. Regardless if they were a good idea “at the time”
  11. We are talking about Kelvin Benjamin. He’s a fat wide receiver. AND it was in the context of someone giving Beane praise for getting a 3rd for Tyrod. I can agree with what you said but you can’t also give CREDIT for a single move when you’re not willing to criticize for an almost perfectly inverse transaction.
  12. It doesn’t matter if you don’t fault him. You may as well be saying you’re a flat earther to me at this point. It was a bad trade. He was at fault by definition. It’s something that happened not the end of the world but at least admit the most obvious mistakes for Chrissakes Also: that’s exactly what he did. Wasted a pick and having benjamin on the field was a NEGATIVE value. Sammy is better than any wr we have had since by a long shot. The chiefs had hill and kelce but still added him because that’s what real offenses have, weapons.
  13. Me too! But you also have to ding him for the Benjamin trade. They cancel each other out at the very least.
  14. In the context of giving Beane EXTRA credit for getting a 3rd for Tyrod? i can’t believe this is even an argument somebody is saying. You really have to be biased to defend the Benjamin trade.
  15. I’ll give him credit but an equal or greater debit for the Benjamin trade.
  16. Peterman Kelvin Benjamin Zay Jones (mostly for the “fight for Jesus” video but all the drops don’t help) And the guys who had them starting last season
  17. Nah. You’re more negative that anyone. You started this thread by trying to call out another poster.
  18. We get it you don't like negativity. Some people take a critical look at players/coaches. Don't take it personally.
  19. Once upon a time = this year? We traded Dareus for a conditional 6th and drafted a DT (edit: misread your post.)
  20. They could easily be terrible next year. Remember when they were 5-2 then got blown out by the Jets on Thursday night? The “tanking” Jets. What was everyone’s expectation of how that game would go? Use that same logic for this season. I like the additions on the o line. But success on the o line is often liked to consistency and these guys all just met each other last week. The WR group is not the worst in the league like last year but bottom 5 in the league still. these are still the guys that put that o line from last year together and started Nathan peterman day 1, mike Tolbert, kelvin benjamin, Zay Jones, Vlad a mere duckass, the list goes on and on. Nothing they have done on offense has worked. defense is historically inconsistent year to year for every team other than select few. It all depends on Allen of course. If he’s not an elite QB nothing else matters, it will just be more mediocrity
  21. Also, who needs to pass against a team that’s getting blown out in the first half.
