One of the things that I like about Peterman is his maturity. Classy guy. Already married. Hard worker by all accounts. Good kid. Really hope this works out for him. Hes a Mcdermott kind of guy. -
It was a TANK season all along - - get it !!!

I would agree. My question is more rhetorical in nature. They clearly dont see tyrod as the answer to the offense they want to run. They think Peterman could be so this is really a seven game audition which if successful significantly alters our draft strategy. If Peterman looks the part you can stand pat in the draft, fill multiple needs, and use one pick on another qb somewhere in the 2nd to 5th round rather than trading multiple picks to move up. I disagree with the op. Its not a tank. Its a continuing evaluation of what pieces we have and dont have. And Im totally ok with that. New Orleans showed just how far of a gap there is between us and the top three or four teams in the league. Them, the Pats, the Eagles. If anyone can come up with a fourth or fifth team feel free. Not many elite teams this year. -
Who's been most screwed by the Bills? Of All Time.

Listen to the audio. Pretty obvious Thurman cant stand him. Even took a shot at his height which was hilarious. Said he was 5'5" or 5"6. He was short but not that short. Thats spud webb short. Skin Flutie. Most overrated Bill ever. -
Which another poster astutely pointed out was recognized by Todd Mcshay and two other guys whose names escape me. Im paraphrasing but they basically said nothing pisses off a coordinator more than drawing up a play, watching it work exactly the way you drew it up, and seeing your qb fail to pull the trigger and miss the opportunity. As intrigued as I am by the switch and hopeful that the coaching staff knows something the rest of the planet hasnt discovered yet this is exactly right. The Saints looked about as disintested when Peterman came in as a sleeping does when you roll a tennis ball by his nose for the hundredth time trying to get him to wake up and fetch. It will take a season or more before anyone is sure about Peterman. Preseason games and games where you come in down four tds or more arent an accurate barometer. I stuck with Tyrod till it finally sunk in ten minutes into the Saints game we are mostly screwed if we fall behind by two tds at any point in the game if hes the qb. Rooting hard for Nate. Pray to god hes the chosen one. But even a stellar performance Sunday wont be a predictor that hes gonna be the starter two years down the road.

The Fans. Every year Snake Oil Salesman extrordinaire Russ Brandon cooks up a new con and the team never delivers yet the fans stay loyal. Like having to wait three hours for a table at the worst restaurant in town. -
Your talking about those young stars that helped us miss the playoffs last year and the year before and the year before... Hes just pissed cause hes got to replace his Dareus jersey now.

Somehow I really dont think Schopps getting huge publicity from this thread. Hope your not in the advertising business.

Excited about Peterman. Defense still a massive concern. -

I guess the only question I have is why bench a lousy qb and take a chance on Peterman being better if your really tanking. Seriously. Peterman is gonna have to take sucking to a whole new level to eclipse that 56 yard gem Tyrod had last week. If you really want to tank keep Tyrod out there. The geniuses in the media would have never grown suspicious of your true intent. They mostly think its a huge mistake benching Tyrod. -

Benjamins average yards per catch is actually pretty decent at 14.4 per catch. 2.6 yards better than Matthews and almost a full yard better than Antonio Brown. Im not saying hes even close to Brown overall. Just saying he can make plays that get the ball downfield. Maybe more of a yac guy than a Marquis Goodwin type but still a guy capable of breaking it. Hes not just a possesion guy. -

Im not predicting it. Just illustrating the hypocrisy that is the media. 20-30 for 250 and 2 tds would be a great start. I was actually thinking 90 yard 4th qtr game tying drive with 1:30 to play and no timeouts and then an ot opening 75 yard drive for the gw td. I think that how it works. You score a td on the opening drive of ot you win, right? -

The joke of it is if Peterman goes 30-45 for 400 yards and 4 tds in a 38-35 Bills victory hell be the media darling of the week. Youll see the Nathan Peterman trick shot video about 500 times on ESPN. -

I would agree that your close on this. It could have been a single conversation. It could have been a recurring subject since training camp but I dont think there is any way this is a Mcdermott only decision. Hes gotten alot of input from dennison. Him saying its his call and only his call is a way of deflecting bkame from others and putting the target squarely on his back(mcdermotts) if it doesnt work. I give mcdermott alot of credit for that. Hes not looking to pass the buck if this move fails. -
