  1. I mean think about it with our current situation with TT. He's another guy who looked like just needed some time on the bench to learn and when he got his shot, could become the franchise. Welp....
  2. On the other end of the spectrum, there are still those QBs who come in day 1 (or close) and do well. I think most GMs/HCs want to pretend it's a league of grooming a guy, but the pressure dictates get a guy, find out if he's got it, and if he doesn't fairly soon, move on. Nothing can change that. It's up to the guys like Keenum to do all they can to work on their flaws and hope they land in the right opportunity before it's too late. I'm sure there have been many guys with enough talent who never got their shot. Oh well. Literally...that's life.
  3. Actually, I prefer everyone spell it out with formal titles. National Football League Head Coach of the Buffalo Bills Sean McDermott and General Manager Brandon Beane. Anything less than that is just lazy, IMO
  4. If you love a game enough to spend time talking on your favorite team's board BUT won't watch the championship of said game...congrats. You win the golden prize.
  5. Not saying we should have kept him but I hope some day soon, while our team is prepping for the Super Bowl, other teams message boards can talk about our overpaid players. Not joking.
  6. I was intrigued with the idea of TT from the start but wasn't happy he was only put against Cassel and EJ to "win" the job. I thought back then if he had any halfway decent comp, he wouldn't have won the job. I pulled for him to progress, but very early in his 2nd year I was convinced he was never going to change. Great back up to have but never going to be The Guy. That said, I won't be too upset if they decide to keep him if they make a move to draft our future...if they allow him to play his style, on the move, and if/when he gets hurt, move on to the rookie without looking back.
  7. I won't say Foles would have come and lit it up but I sure was on board with having him come to compete for the job against Tyrod. Wouldn't have mattered since Rex was set on Tyrod from the start and used a very weak QB comp to mask what he wanted all along. Foles would have won a pure passer comp even back then, and with the WRs we had, who knows???
  8. Imagine how Rams fans felt watching 2 of their former QBs going head-to-head for the NFC. I'm sure their level-headed fans are happy they have Goff but no doubt they have some who are crying "see, we didn't have to trade the farm for Goff. We could have used those picks to get _____, ____, ____, and _______!!!!"
  9. My point is he's a back up surrounded by superior talent.
  10. Foles is having a Hostetler run. Hopefully he has the same result in 2 weeks. Sorry for the painful comparison. It's the closest I can think of.
  11. People keep saying Keenum is a hype train. He just keeps on making plays.
  12. I know some of you rooted against Marrone and Dareus but if watching the Pats going back doesn't give you a sick feeling right now, I just don't get it.
  13. The helmet to helmet one, sure. The PI...ref assistance level 9000
  14. Watching the Pats getting owned in their house is delightful, despite the other guy being who he is.
  15. Anyone know if this guy picked the Jags, Eagles, and Minny to be in the conference championships at this time last year. If so, then I'm worried..otherwise...tell him to shut his trap
  16. This post is genius. Able to provide a good laugh for some, stir up some kind of other feelings in others. Kudos bro!
  17. Shhhhhhh. Don't let the Niners know how good he is or they might try to keep him long term.
  18. Good for him. Good for them both. Go Bills!
  19. I'm just curious, does everyone who knows for sure that Jackson won't be good - were you the same people who knew Watson wouldn't be good - or better yet, STILL think he's not that good? I get that the mechanics of a protypical QB are important, but sometimes, when an athlete is a freak and has "IT", the seemingly big issues aren't as big. Us reaching for EJ has scarred us for life because our GM/scouts didn't recognize he didn't have the "IT" factor to cover his flaws. I'm not saying Jackson will be good for sure. I'm just not convinced the reasons he will suck are going to hold up. It's not that simple.
  20. I agree that would be tough to handle, but I just can't stand the thought of seeing Brady and Bill holding up the trophy again. I don't think the Jags can beat them but in this bizzaro word setup that came true, I have to root for them.
  21. Exactly. Then make a move to get our real QB...we could be in Philly's shoes right now. Oh well. Still happy with our current direction.
  22. I joined a Jags message board the week of our game just to interact with them a bit. Went on today and they are posting that we are all salty about Marrone. I can't speak for everyone but I said many, if not most, are not. We've moved on and we actually hope they win. Our Pats hate supersedes all else.
  23. I like Cousins. I can't say I'm on board with paying him at the level he might demand but I know if we do, I'll easily find it justifiable. Give him a 5 year deal, we've got our guy who will just be turning 30 as the season starts, arguably just hitting his prime.
