  1. Ahh, most every Bills fan knows that when the "official" Bills board shut down, everyone migrated here. But it carry on.
  2. Thanks for making my point. These premier OL were all LEFT tackles. L
  3. But before Bills drafted Zay Jones because his college coach promoted the choice, I said Chris Godwin was in every way better. Check out their combine performances. Also, their NFL performances. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/3116165/chris-godwin Its getting pretty close to time to cut bait.
  4. Really?. and what are your sources? Again, think this through for a second. the LEFT tackle plays opposite the RIGHT DE. You know, the LEFT tackle who is considered he most valuable OL. I thought this was basic knowledge, but to spell it out, your best pass rusher plays RDE, who is on a R handed QB blind side. The argument that your best pass rusher should play LEFT DE is only correct if you're playing a left handed QB.
  5. Hmmm.... lets think this through for a minute... Bruce would have had several 30 sack seasons if he had only played LDE... tell me, what was preventing him from playing LDE and setting unmatchable sack records? or maybe, just maybe, the suggestion that he would have had 30 sack seasons at LDE is simply wrong.
  6. Hmm.... comeback from 16-0 in the 4th is trash? okey dokie mister tokey
  7. The reason I highlighted this play is because I dont know how to fix it. On allens fumble, the fix is simple. Dont blow the whistle early. On the FG personal foul, the fix is simple. Dont slap the guy on the head. But on this blind side call, if youre the TE assigned to block a DB or LB on the play, what do you do next time this happens? Just watch the guy tackle your ball carrier? Ask the DB/LB to look at you? Its a stupid rule, and should be fixed, either in how its written or how its implemented.
  8. I thought this was a ludakris call. I get that the rule was added for player safety, but I think it was meant to protect kickers, and offensive players who unexpectedly find themselves as defenders after an INT or blocked kick. Players who arent accustomed to pursuing and tackling. The Bills TE flagged was blocking on a more or less routine play. And not in the open field, away from the play, but right at the scrum involving the ball carrier. What is he supposed to do? Say, "Mr. Giant, I am about to block you. Please turn your head"? If he doesnt block the guy, here is todays film review. Bills coach: "WTF didnt you block that guy. You were standing right next to him!!!" Bill TE: "uh, he wasnt looking at me. I even asked him nicely to turn his head, but he wouldnt". The rule needs to be changed, or enforced only on possession changes.
  9. Never mind see he's back. In
  10. Was a 108 yd drive. 10 yd holding penalty
  11. Fun fact. That was a 108 yard TD drive lingest in the NFL in 2 years
  12. Regardless of who wins, Allen has been accurate. Ar least 3 throwaway and 3 drops. Hotta think about these when looking at his completion %
  13. Pass was low and away. TD for the offense not defense.
  14. Should have been targeting at end of Hyde’s return.
  15. Correct. Refs spotted ball correctly.
  16. Refs making the game all about them again.
  17. Not only that, but Corey Glenn is injured and out for the Bengals. Beane is a wizard.
  18. Ahh I remember a game in the mid 1980s where it was so windy that the Steelers punter had a -8 yd punt.
  19. PSU has started having every player wear bubble helmets for practice. https://www.phillyvoice.com/penn-state-new-helmet-tech-can-prevent-football-concussions/ Wouldnt surprise me me if this becomes more common.
  20. This guy Burke is a true idiot. His entire article is based upon a false premise--if Bills go 4-12. Thats like me writing an article stating if Brian Burke gets seen receiving oral sex from a tranny hooker in a bathroom on Chipewa Street then he has a 98% likelihood of being fired. Whereas if the same scenario were applied to Jerry Sullivan he'd only have a 94% chance of being fired. Probably because he doesnt have a real job.
  21. I don't think it's a crazy idea to keep 7 WR. This would include both Williams and McKenzie. Williams, I think, may be the only WR on the roster with the ball skills to high point contested catches. What other spot spot would you "short "? i think either TE or LB. because Bills base offense is 11 personnel, and their base defense is a 4-2-5. I'm using base here to signify most common alignment.
  22. Ive followed Psu pretty closely and seen all of their games the past few years. Bates played out of position the past 2 years at tackle. He was much better at guard. He's never played center. One of of the biggest weaknesses of psu OL was inability to pick up stunts and pass off the DL. This was through the OL, but maybe most noticeable on Bates side. I don't know if this was player awareness, coaching, or something else but it was a problem. I dont see Bates being anything other than stopgap OT in the NFL. Look at his arm length and wingspan. I do think he can play guard in the NFL, and maybe center.
  23. Funny story about Urschel. While at Psu, players would miss spring practice days for various reasons. If they weren’t at practice their names would be on a board with different colors too signify the reason for missing practice. For instance, black meant personal reason, red meant injured, green meant player had a class or test, etc. one day Urschel was late for practice and his name was in purple. Bill OBrien (head coach at the time) asks one of the staff “where the hell is urachel and why is his name in purple”. Staff says “purple means he’s teaching a class.” True story.
