  1. 1. In general, I’d rather have a missed call than a bogus call. Such as flagging Jerry Hughes for pushing his own teammate. 2. Jokers step over was a penalty. I’d much rather see it called in a 4 score blowout than a close game. And I don’t think he would have been called if he didn’t draw attention be stepping dramatically.
  2. Let’s be serious, that wasn’t a good route and great throw.. That was your cousin Charlie and uncle Billy playing catch in the backyard.
  3. Ahh… Harmon certainly didn’t have clutch hands.
  4. Dude grabbed his foot after the step over. It was a legit call
  5. ??That was a catch. Yes, it hit the ground, but he had clear control before it hit the ground
  6. That’s a TD. But should’ve kicked the fg
  7. Actually that would be a really smart call
  8. Just curious why you think the 1st all pro is the same as mvp. A qb with a losing record could be the 1st team all pro but could never be considered the most valuable player. Ie, a team that lost 10 games with a great qb could just as easily lose 10 games with a mediocre qb. Value means adding worth. Taking a team from 6 to 10 wins. Or from 9 to 14 wins. Which is esssentialy what Allen did. Bills are at best an average team without Allen. It’s impossible to say for sure, but based on how Huntley played last year, I’d say that the Tavens with Henry and Huntley are an 11 win team. So same as with Jackson. Inly my opinion of course, but I think Allen adds more worth to the Bills than Jackson adds to the Ravens. I guess we’ll see what the writers collective opinion is in a couple weeks.
  9. Hank Bullough “we’ll, that’s just spilled milk over the dam” On Napoleon Macallum draft potential “well, theres that Bonaparte guy at Navy. He’s a solid RB”
  10. OK guys, for the last time. There are (at least) two organizations that give out an NFL MVP award. One is CBS sports. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/nfl/2024-nfl-awards-cbs-sports-experts-cast-final-votes-for-mvp-coach-of-the-year-and-more-for-nfl-honors/ar-BB1hCmcE The voters (32): Brett Anderson, Cody Benjamin, John Breech, Doug Clawson, Bill Cowher, Jordan Dajani, Bryan DeArdo, Leger Douzable, Jared Dubin, Josh Edwards, Jay Feely, Emory Hunt, Eric Kernish, Jeff Kerr, Aditi Kinkhabwala, Kyle Long, Joel Magaraci, Bryant McFadden, Garrett Podell, Pete Prisco, Brady Quinn, Phil Simms, Kyle Stackpole, Kevin Steimle, Tyler Sullivan, Chris Trapasso, Amy Trask, Brock Vereen, Evan Washburn, JJ Watt, Ryan Wilson, Tracy Wolfson THIS IS NOT THE AWARD RECOGNIZED BY THE NFL as the "official" MVP award. ITs just CBS tryiing to drum up clicks. The award recognized by the NFL is the AP award. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/heres-the-full-list-of-the-50-ap-awards-voters This includes writers and journalists from numerous outlets, all are well-established reporters. 4 CBS journalists made this list. The list available is last years list, but it doenst change much year to year. Here are the 4 CBS reporters from last year: Charles Davis, Esiason, Jonathan Jones, Adam Schein. Call me crazy, but I dont see a sideline reporter replacing any of these guys. Emmanuel Acho, FS1 Greg Auman, Fox Sports Howard Balzer, PHNX radio Jarrett Bell, USA Today Dave Birkett, Detroit Free Press Tom Brady, Fox Sports Tedy Bruschi, ESPN Vic Carucci, WGRZ radio Mark Craig, Minneapolis Star Tribune Tom Curran, NBC Sports Boston Charles Davis, CBS Sports Nate Davis, USA Today Howard Deneroff, Westwood One Tony Dungy, NBC Sports Jori Epstein, Yahoo Sports Boomer Esiason, CBS Sports Doug Farrar, USA Today Sports Media Mike Florio, Pro Football Talk Reuben Frank, NBC Sports Philadelphia Rich Gannon, SiriusXM Jonathan Jones, CBS Sports Lindsay Jones, The Ringer Mike Jones, The Athletic Clark Judge, Talk of Fame Network Ira Kaufman, JoeBucsFan.com Mina Kimes, ESPN Peter King, NBC Sports Pat Kirwan, SiriusXM Jeff Legwold, ESPN Jim Miller, SiriusXM Sam Monson, Pro Football Focus Bruce Murray, SiriusXM Gary Myers, NFL author Laura Okmin, Fox Sports Dan Orlovsky, ESPN Nick Pavlatos, SiriusXM Dan Pompei, The Athletic Nora Princiotti, The Ringer Lorenzo Reyes, USA Today Charles Robinson, Yahoo Sports Dianna Russini, The Athletic Mike Sando, The Athletic Aaron Schatz, FTN Network Adam Schein, CBS Sports Tom Silverstein, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel Chris Simms, NBC Sports Armando Salguero, Outkick.com Mike Tirico, NBC Sports Ben Volin, Boston Globe Charean Williams, Pro Football Talk
  11. I think this answers the question. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/nfl/2024-nfl-awards-cbs-sports-experts-cast-final-votes-for-mvp-coach-of-the-year-and-more-for-nfl-honors/ar-BB1hCmcE She is a voter for the CBS MVP award, not the real award (the AP NFL MVP award).
  12. If there is one thing McDermott is great at, it’s defending against rookie QBs
  13. I realize it’s last years voters. I’m guessing that it doesn’t change much year to year. please post a list of this years voters if you have it.
  14. I didn’t hear it, but I know there is an alternate organization that votes for mvp as well. But the AP vote is the one that is recognized by the nfl.
  15. She’s not on the list I saw. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/heres-the-full-list-of-the-50-ap-awards-voters Note that the blowhard crew. Cowherd, Stephen Smith, Mcafee, barstool, etc aren’t on this list.
  16. Most of the talking head blowhards on espn aren’t voters, so their opinions are irrelevant. Someone linked a list of about 50 voters a while back. It includes the older, established professional writers, like Vic Carucci, Peter King, etc. Theyre not giving a 3rd mvp to a player who hasn’t made a Super Bowl. They understand the meaning of value.
  17. This is why yds per snap is a better measure than yds per game. Allen has >100 fewer snaps than Burrow and 60 fewer than Jackson heading into this wknd
  18. I think that’s true. But this game annd other Bills blowouts where Josh didn’t play ibeyond the 3rd q is why snaps taken, not games played is a better way to normalize statistics. EPA is based per play. Josh leads Jackson by that metric.
  19. Good to see Codrington out there. I took the over @ 46.5.
  20. Is this the worst officiating crew in the nfl?
