Bill O Brien had a funny story about Urschel when he (OB) was head coach at PSU and Urschel was a graduate student, using his final year of eligibility. PSU had a huge whiteboard where they indicated a players practice status. Name in green = full practice Yellow = limited Red = no practice Orange = player was taking a class and would be late One day OBrien sees Urschel's name in purple. He asks one of the staff-"Why the F is Urschel's name in purple? What the F does that mean? (OB was pretty foul-mouthed)" Staff says, "oh, that means he's teaching a class".

In all seriousness, an edible of 2 isnt a bad idea. I had a friend who was special forces. When they would fly Lejeune to mideast, they'd all take a couple Ambien. Felt a little bit hungover upon arrival, but were wide awake shortly after landing.

I remember watching this pass. Josh is getting snowed under, and suddenly the ball emerges like it was shot out of a mortar. That was truly an unbelievable throw.

You play. To win. The game. Winning isn’t the only metric to use when evaluating QB, but it’s an important one. QBs do more than throw the ball. Taking care of the ball, not taking sacks, calling audibles, making clutch plays, and leadership are all important factors when evaluating a QB. I’m thinking that Brady was better than Marino in all of these facets. I used to think Bellichek was the best coach of all time. His record without Brady is making me reconsider that evaluation.

Coincidentally, those 3 are the dumbest NFL analysts around.

It’s stunning to think that Marino, with zero NFL championships is a better QB than Brady. Who had 6. Was Marino a better passer than Brady? Maybe. Probably not. But a better QB? Nope.

There is a reality show on Hulu title "Welcome to Wrexham". Movie/TV stars Rob McIlheny and Ryan Reynolds buy a division 5 Wales futbol team. Its pretty good. Season 2 starts with Rob McIlheney complaining that his favorite teams always finish 2nd. First loser. The episode ends with a description of two well known first losers. Susan Lucci and the Bills. The final scene is of Susan Lucci breaking the curse and winning an Emmy. I'm taking this as an omen....

I’ve not studied this, so take it for what it’s worth. Some individuals have shorter Achilles tendons, and are thus prone to rupture. I’ve had 3 friends in their 30-40s who have ruptured Achilles tendons. All describe a popping, shot in the heel feeling during a jumping or acceleration from a stop (tennis, hoops). Im cure these guys stretch well before games and halves, but maybe not enough between or within series?

Type of turf has nothing to do with Achilles tendon injuries. Achilles injuries aren’t caused by a shoe or foot sticking in turf. Achilles tears are caused by stress on the tendon during explosive movements. Sudden jumps or acceleration.

I think calling D fires up McD. Seems really into the game. Not just clapping.
