  1. The Broncos drafted their supposed QB of the future twice. Brock Osweiler and Paxton Lynch. Neither worked out. But they got a Superbowl with Peyton Manning. We could draft a QB every year and miss each time. I lived Jacksonville for a while and watched them draft Byron Leftwich, Blane Gabbert, and Blake Bortles. But it was David Garrard that took them to the playoffs. Team draft QBs every year and occasionally you get a stud. But we're clamoring for the Bills to take so they can draft the next JP Losman. Teams have to build to win now and worry about the draft when the opportunity to trade comes up or in the off season.
  2. I'd trade fro him. They though Brees couldn't bounce back either.
  3. Didn't Ajayi drop 200 on us twice last year and LeVeon Bell 300?
  4. McDermott will not last 3 years at this pace. There have been too many bad decisions. He needs to finish this year strong because I doubt the Pegulas like looking like a joke
  5. I suspect Peterman doesnfor some reason. We’re already a joke. This decision might be what defines the McDermott era. We lose out this year. Next year we draft a QB and we struggle because we’ve got a young QB. I could see him getting fired after 2 years.
  6. Starting Peterman was the wrong decision. Nothing justified starting him. People always talk about how he can't come back from behind. But the reason why the games are even close are because he protects the ball. The teams around Tyrod have been really bad. No QB would make a huge difference with this cast. We need to start building a team for the franchise guy we draft next year. Let Tyrod deal with the lumps and compete in between.
  7. Exactly. Tyrod's the first competent QB we've had. After years of watching horrible QBs we forgot how it felt to a have decent one. And thought our 5th rounder from Pitt who couldnt win the Tennessee in his job was going to be better than our best QB in years.
  8. That wasn’t just a horrible game. It was the worst debut ever by a quarterback. A distinction I can’t imagine ever being over taken. To call Petermans debut a a horrible game is an understatement. The Patriots aren’t cute. They do what works. I’ve seen the pats run the same damn play 5 times straight until the d proved they could stop it. They do what makes sense. We bench a starter one game up in the playoff race and hide behind trusting the system. And some try to justify it. Give up almost 309 yards rushing and bench our QB. How can you trust McDermott’s judgement after this move? I get that feel too. Also get the feel that Dennison doesn’t like Tyrod. All praise for Peterman. Several subtle indictments of Tyrod still learning the system and trying to grasp everything.
  9. People hate Tyrod so much that they’ll find ways excuse a terrible performance and encourage a QB who had the worst start in NFL history. How can he even consider starting Peterman. We thought EJ was bad?
  10. People look at teams that have been successful and associate all of that success to the QB. And likewise they associate teams that haven't been successful and associate all of the failures to the QB. Philip Rivers is an elite QB who's been on some bad teams. Andy Dalton and Joe Flacco or average QBs who've been on really good teams. It's a team game. The QB has a huge impact but isn't the only player on the team.
  11. I appreciate your response. And you're right. Every move has been a move looking toward the future. I disagree, however, that this is not a playoff team. The Ravens have looked just as bad or worse than we have. In fact, every team in the playoff race has looked as bad or worse than we have this year. So I hoped we'd put the QB out there that gave us the best opportunity to win. A culture of losing is why we're here. And you're right, it won'y happen overnight. But if you look at the NFL, you'll notice that good teams tend to stay good and bad teams tend to always be "rebuilding" or playing for next year.
  12. Are interceptions worse than nonthrows? Look our of the future is in College right now. Let's win all we can with our best option. Which is Tyrod at this point
  13. Nobody is suggesting that Tyrod is the future of the franchise. I think we all are in favor of drafting our guy next year. I just don't understand the justification of making a QB change when we've been competitive. The Chiefs will start Mahommes eventually, but will roll with the experience until he's ready. Throwing our young rookie out to the wolves probably isn't the best idea. Starting Peterman made no sense whatsoever. We have a competent QB available to smooth us over until we find our franchise guy. And in a terrible AFC, we have a shot at making a run. Creating a winning culture.
  14. Nothing around this oganization has gone perfect. Or even well and he's a .500 qb.
  15. They knew better than the Bills when they ridiculed the JP Losman and EJ Manuel draft picks. And offering Fitz a long term contract
  16. The Chiefs are WORLDS better than the bills and have been consistently. Him being the best QB for the bills is just an arbitrary opinion that needs to be stated because he is so disliked. The team isn't just a QB. A good QB on a bad team is still a bad team. They are very alike and the comparison is a common one by qb evaluators. And I agree when I watch. But what do people who evaluate QBs for a living know
  17. He looks tentative to use those tools. He should use his legs more. I agree with that. But he's still our best option and can do enough to win until we draft a QB in the 1st next year.
  18. I disagree. Bledsoe for one year, maybe. But he also lossed a lot of games because he consistently turned the ball over. Flutie and Orton were on better teams. He didn't play well that last 2 games but we know this offense isn't built to score quickly. It's built for long sustained drives and quick decisions by the QB. Tyrod is the type of QB that holds on to the ball and has to see a receiver open. Not necessarily his strength. So if the Bills get down early with these receivers and these play calls it's a death sentence. Good coaches adjust their offense and defense to the strengths of their players. We put Tyrod in a position to fail and ask him to play to his weaknesses. Then blame him for the defense sucking.
  19. Taylor's the best QB we've had in a long time. He stretched the field quite a bit when we had Sammy He looked good for the short time that Robert Woods, Sammy and Percy Harvin were healthy and starting. He's Alex Smith, the perfect starter while we look for our QB of the future. But of course we want to get the best QB we've had in the last 20 years off the field to play a 5th rounder from Pitt who couldn't win the starting job at Tennessee.
  20. Right, I assume you think the Peterman move was warranted?
  21. The Bills are a joke. Darby always looked good. Young talent shouldn't be discarded. You adjust your scheme to fit the talent. Not gamble on the draft. We drafted and developed Woods, Dareus, Watkins and Darby just to watch them flourish elsewhere in their primes. McDermott isn't a Bills fan so he hasn't had to endure this ineptitude. But you don't see Belichick trading away prime talent. He just adjust his scheme to maximize it. What a joke
  22. No need to. That was a laughably bad performance. The national media and fans of other teams view us as a joke. The fact that we sent him out there after the 3rd interception was ridiculous.
  23. 5 interceptions is a real problem. But I agree, the D is a larger issue.
  24. They don't score 50 if Tyrod starts. There would be 5 fewer turnovers. It's not certain that we win but it's a much more competitive game. San Diego plays everyone close. We found a way to get blown out.
