In hindsight, what’s your worst “hot take” on TSW ever?
GymShorts84 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rex Ryan could only make the defense better. Dion Dawkins shouldn’t play left tackle. 2021 D-Line would get sacks. -
If any bills fans wanna pay it forward (burrow's charity link)

No, I do not. -
First time every thinking during a Conference Championship Game, “our QB is way better than these guys.” I always liked Stanford but I can’t root for him in L.A.

Eric Washington will be the next DC. He knows the system and has the experience. Hopefully he’s bring some minor tweaks to get some pass rush. Last night was brutal, but the system is effective…..overall. For OC, I’d assume if it’s not Dorsey, he goes with Daboll as his OC. I want an aggressive play caller. For the sake of this thread, I’ll say Matt Nagy. Some guys are better coordinators than head coaches.

Broncos are in the market for a new head coach

Definitely. Good O-line, great running game, decent skill position players and a talented D…….and then Teddy two gloves and Drew Lock. -

Complicated situation there with a possible ownership change. If the Team is sold this off-season, they’d likely clean house anyway. You’d think this would prevent them from hiring one of the top tier guys. Fangio’s old school mentality isn’t for everyone, but he is a victim of never having a QB. That Defense is well above average, Elway could never find and develop QB. If they get a Rodgers or Wilson this off-season, they will be a contender. -
Defense: let’s grade and comment your grade

B Only gave up a couple big plays. Frasier is willing to sacrifice run yards in order to shut down the pass. pass rush is a problem, but I don’t think scheme can improve that much. Pass rush is about winning your one on one battle, especially with Fraiser blitzing so little. We just don’t have a guy that can get around the edge consistently. Fraiser’s scheme does deserve some credit. We are hiding a very thin cornerback group. Hyde and Poyer deserve a substantial cash bonus at the end of the year for what they do against the deep ball and helping in the run game. -
How are we supposed to feel about this win??
GymShorts84 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree. That’s a good D. We also got some sacks which is rare. Allen stayed healthy, we ran the ball, take the win. -
Gabe Davis deserves his own thread

He’s what everyone wanted Duke Williams to be. -
I understand your thoughts. Offense needs to score points in the 1st half but the D gave up 24 points and a lot of yards. I don’t want to accept that a scenario that we needed to score 30, because that seems like a score that guarantees a win, and unreasonable on the road. a win would have been a momentum building turning point, the loss still might.

4 players in NFL history have run for 100 yards and passed for 300. I hope we can agree the Bills do not have a strong run game. He cannot rely on another player to take over a game. He’s not Brady or Rodgers, but he’s our entire Offense. The last 2 losses have sucked, but we live and die with his performance. Other QBs have the luxury of a defense respecting the run game. I don’t know who to blame anymore, the O line or the run scheme.

Week 14 Gameday Bills at Buccaneers Postgame thread
GymShorts84 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Finally great heart shown by the Team. Allen is an MVP candidate. Edmunds needs a position change. Absolutely brutal. -
Nightmare scenario with injuries on D, but I agree there is no game plan going into these games. Daboll has to see this line gets destroyed and they still rely on slow developing pass plays. You counter the blitz with draws and screens. The Bills counter it with Allen running for his life.

I don’t think they showed a great replay of the Offside that wasn’t called this week, but it sure looked like both DTs moved. Either way, throwing a jump ball to the Tight End there was pretty useless. In general, I am tired of the obvious hard counts with no plan to snap the ball. He threw off his back foot because of the pressure, but if there’s a time to step up and take a hit, it’s on 4th down to win a game.

Soft in the trenches. Looks worse with Star and Brown out, but we don’t grind out wins in bad weather or respond to adversity at all really. AFC is wide open, so there’s hope but I say not with this O line. Allen forced the ball today, but I’ll still defend his play or at least his aggressive mind set. You saw the Colts line today open up lanes and give Taylor 3+ yards before we was touched. I don’t think our backs are the problem. The best argument that systems and o- lines make the running game might be made by fantasy football. When Dalvin Cook is out, everyone picks up Mattison and he delivers, San Fran has success with guys you’ve never heard of, Adrian Peterson averaged 4 YPC today. We can’t run the ball against 2 high safeties.

I actually prefer to have a torn ACL when I start a new squat routine, isolates the quads.

Give Allen some credit for his play today
GymShorts84 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen has to do everything for this offense. The RBs have no holes and he doesn’t have time to go through his progressions. If he wasn’t so elusive we would rarely execute on 3rd and long. I’m sure Diggs and Sanders are open downfield. He needs a pocket to find them. Of course, he plays too much hero ball but it’s because it’s him or no one. -
How do you deep down, really feel about this defense?
GymShorts84 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Zone D can be frustrating to watch as a fan but it keeps everything in front of the safeties. Most WR routes are option routes, so in man they can make a move to get open, unless they are blanketed by one of the few elite corners in the league. The Bills D is a disciplined, conservative D that forces the offense to have a long, sustained drive with multiple 3rd down conversions to score. I think they are executing Leslie Frazier’s vision to a T. We could use more sacks, that would elevate the D to the elite status. -
Weird that they played him so much last night. He was open a few times for big plays and Hurts missed him.
-
Beanie has stated before they bring guys in to get a look and have some data on them in case of a future injury. With the veteran PS rule changes this year, maybe they can sign him to PS and let him learn the system and get in shape for future use. I can see why the NFLPA pushes back so hard on 17 and 18 game schedules. The season is grueling.

This loss is on me. I cracked my first Blue Light tall can of the day at 12:57 pm, went to set it down, dropped it, it landed upside down, and spilled everywhere. It was a bad Oman to start the game. -
Homemade pizza on the Traeger. Buffalo wing dip. Blue light tall cans.

Most fans just know follow the bias in the media of the player. The media was brutal on Allen before last year and most people thought he was terrible. Bills fans that watched every snap saw an ascending talent. I didn’t realize how many people didn’t think he would get a second contract until the topic on this board posted their crazy Twitter posts. If you want him, you gotta go rounds 2-5, I waited too long.
