  1. True but for 11 games, they've held teams to an average of 15.5 points. Those sound like a lot of winnable games to me if you get some offense. Those three games were bad on both sides of the ball and we are lucky it only lasted three weeks.
  2. Besides those three games...the defense has given up an average of 15.5 points a game. That's over 11 games.
  3. I agree with missing Shaq against the run. Hopefully the others step up
  4. Even if it wasn't already set, we are the Bills haha. We had a huge win yesterday to stay in the playoff hunt and weren't even mentioned before the sunday night game that replays some of the most important games of the week. The disrespect will continue until we make the playoffs and show we aren't pretenders
  5. The defense has seemed to return to it's better play over the last 4 weeks limiting teams to 10, 23, 7 and 16 for an average of 14 points a game. The 23 obviously being against next week's opponent, the Pats. They still haven't had the type of turnover production that they had in the first half of the season with exception of yesterday's performance against Cutler. It hasn't been the prettiest as they have given up yards on yards on yards but in the end, they've limited teams to field goals. This defense has given up a lot of yards still but when it counted, they've halted drives. We are now nearing our schedule's end and still in the playoff hunt. If this defense does what it has been doing the last few weeks here...we have a chance. I assume I wasn't the only one that was happy with holding Brady and the Pats to 23 points two weeks ago. Let's hope for a similar performance from them this weekend. Offense...let's help out this defense like they did yesterday. Not everybody likes the term "Bend but don't break" but that is exactly what this team has done this season with the exception of a few games. With the lack of talent on that side of the ball, I am very happy with how our defense has played this year. Can't wait to see how it plays next season with better talent.
  6. That and a much better offensive performance than last time. Tyrod needs to play like he did in the first half yesterday and no like he did against the Pats a few weeks ago
  7. We don't even know how to handle winning haha. Why would he call out a player or two when that was clearly a team win. The defense forced a ton of turnovers and held Miami to 16 points...it's not about individual players, it's about the team. That's the message and culture he's trying to put in every players mind. He doesn't want selfish players like Sammy was here (Sammy said he was selfish here haha).
  8. Again sir, I said it is not all Taylor's fault but he certainly doesn't make it easy to call a pass play. He is not the passing QB type. He is the conservative QB type who relies on the run game. He is not a guy who is willing to throw the ball down the field like Stafford, Ryan, Brees, even Wilson who he's been compared to by some posters...he isn't as aggressive through the air. He tends to throw the underneath dump passes over threading the needle down the field. That makes it harder to call pass plays that are designed for that threading the needle type throws down the field. He did a better job throwing it down the field and being more aggressive yesterday in the first half and that's why he ended with 165 yards passing in the first half. He returned to his conservative underneath throws in the second half even with guys down the field just like he had in the first half yesterday. He's a conservative passer...helps with limiting turnovers but doesn't push the ball down the field.
  9. I believe he will be here a few more years and earn his way to honor here. He's well on his way
  10. It's not all Tyrod's fault but some of it is, yes. Watching all 22 and even just the game live, he doesn't take many chances down the field. He had Benjamin playing yesterday and didn't throw it up to him once...that's tough for a play caller to call a pass play if he doesn't want to throw it up. Tyrod was more aggressive in the first half but even when you got to the second half on those pass plays he stopped looking down field and dumped it to the running backs more and threw more underneath throws. He isn't an aggressive QB through the air...that makes it hard to call more pass plays. That was the first half all year Tyrod has been aggressive and thrown it down the field into somewhat tight coverage. Hence is highest passing total all year in one half.
  11. Well...you throw to Benjamin. He's open when he's covered. He is used to winning one on one jump balls. That's what he does. However, Tyrod doesn't like taking any chances...hence he's conservative which leads to more conservative play calling to keep him comfortable. His lack of aggressiveness in the passing game is the biggest reason we don't throw the ball down the field more. It's not like they don't call passing plays, he just tends to hold onto the ball more and not throw those 50/50 balls to Benjamin that other QBs do.
  12. I didn't criticize his lack of turnovers and poor decision making, I criticized his lack of aggressiveness as a passer. He seems to not trust his own arm at times. If he did Benjamin would be targeted more in one on one situations. He did a better job in the first half in being aggressive down the field. He hasn't done that this year. He hasn't trusted himself to make a play and attempt those throws up to this point in the year. That's what I was criticizing. The result of his conservative play has been his low turnovers. My point was, it's hard to criticize the play calling when you have a QB that doesn't take chances throwing the ball unless the player is wide open. That makes it difficult to be more aggressive in your play calling. Tyrod did a better job of it in the first half but returned to his conservative passes in the second half. There were play calls that had receivers running down the field but he didn't throw it...can't put all of the conservative play calling on the coaches
  13. Milano is not one of the weakest links. He obviously can be upgraded but Alexander is absolute trash as a linebacker. Anytime he's asked to cover...help us. Alexander has no idea what he's doing on passing plays, none. Milano has given them a spark on some plays and hopefully will continue to improve moving forward. Just a week ago he had double digit tackles...he's still a rookie, let him develop. Certainly the offensive line has some major holes. If defensive tackle is not one of the weakest links...we won't agree on much. They've been below average at best over the last several weeks. No pass rush from that spot. No run stuffing from that spot.
  14. The best revenge is to kick their @$$ next week and get us closer to a playoff spot
  15. And yet everyone is still whining about this and that...can't even enjoy a good year haha
  16. Absolute garbage. That's a catch and I don't care what anyone tries to say. He's got a knee down and reaches over with the ball secured...absolute garbage
  17. Haha no that's not the only pass. He's clearly not comfortable passing the ball into tight coverage. If he was comfortable, he'd pass to Benjamin more. He's 6'5"...all you have to do is throw it up to him like Peterman did in the Indy game. He doesn't show any aggression when passing. He seemed to hesitant to throw an open screen pass today and decided to take a sack today instead. He just doesn't show much confidence to throw the ball down the field. It's not like all of these play calls have guys doing routes within two yards...he just decides to dump down to the open running back instead of taking a chance down the field. He did a better job today but he hasn't been aggressive all year. You can blame Dennison all you want but he does call passing plays where receivers go down the field. He doesn't have a lot of INTs because he doesn't attempt to throw into tight windows and be aggressive. Tyrod certainly doesn't make one confident in throwing the ball in all situations.
  18. I believe Brown was in there to block one of the defenders for our other hands players to step behind him and grab the ball but he made a poor decision to go for it himself instead. He would be a solid blocker if that was the case.
  19. To me, that is the sole reason he and Dennison aren't more aggressive in their playcalling. We can whine all we want but Tyrod isn't exactly a consistent passer and doesn't seem to feel comfortable throwing into tight windows ever. Hence Benjamin's lack of targets with Tyrod as QB. Once they bring in their QB, I can justify bashing their conservative playcalling. Whenever I see someone screaming for us to pass and be more aggressive all I see is Tyrod's pick at the goalline against the Pats...
  20. Payton does have the luxury of a hall of fame QB that McDermott does not have, that's the difference. Gotta have a guy you can completely trust throwing the ball. McDermott clearly doesn't trust Tyrod
  21. Tyrod will have to play like he did in the first half and a few turnovers by the defense that returned today will help as well
  22. Honestly I don't think it will matter what New England does tonight. If we want to win next week, we gotta step up, not New England play down to us. We gotta play with more emotion and go grab it. I don't care if they play well, we will just have to play better
  23. Baltimore plays them in the season finale
