  1. The offense doesn't have any excuse in this game. Score more than three points please!
  2. How did you not see translatable traits in today's game? His first touchdown was a bullet over the middle on a deep slant. His second touchdown, he threw a very accurate pass while on the run after avoiding pass rushers. His third touchdown, he threw a perfect deep ball to a wide receiver in stride. How were those throws not translatable? We don't have a guy that can do that now. His deep middle slant throw was a big time NFL throw. None of the other QBs in this draft class could make that pass with that type of zip. His potential is so high. He needs time to be groomed behind a vet. I hope we will be patient as a franchise if we get him. He has taken snaps from under center. His coach is the same coach that was with Carson Wentz and he has talked about both being in the same light. He didn't throw that many passes today and still had some outstanding passes. If he gets coached well, someone will get him playing at that high level on a more consistent basis and I hope it is us. He had more talent around him last year and everyone who scouts him and talks about him knows that. He is playing with garbage players. Don't look at the numbers, look at the potential in his ability.
  3. I agree with everything said here. Nice analysis.
  4. We can only hope the Giants do something stupid haha. I've just seen Rudolph in a lot of games and been left very unimpressed with his body of work really. I don't like his arm. Don't think he has first round talent. See him as a second round guy.
  5. Yes but Rudolph is in a Mike Gundy system that inflates a QBs stats. I've watched Rudolph play a lot and he completes a short pass that his receivers take for a touchdown and it inflates his stats. Remember Brandon Weeden?? Yeah same system. I know you know that. He has footwork issues, lacks a big arm, and didn't show up in big games this year. Put up absolute duds in a handful of games this year. Not a big fan. He doesn't excite me at all. Rosen is a great pocket passer who can hit the timing passes better than any of the other QBs. His traits translate to the NFL the best. Darnold has had stuggles with turnovers but he's had some great NFL type throws. With the right coaching, he'll be a star. His Penn state game was eye-opening last year. Allen has no talent around him at all. You can't just look at the stats with him. Watching him play several games he's shown me a wow factor too often to pass on him. He has the best arm in this class by a mile. He certainly needs grooming and some time behind a vet but he can be great. Mayfield has a bunch of questions and I'm not that high on him myself. I think he's the fourth QB in this class. I think Drew may come out but we will see.
  6. I disagree. This team has won because of it's defense in most games. Besides the three game skid, the defense has given up an average of 15 points a game. Those are a lot of winnable games.
  7. I agree with this. I think he'd benefit from a year of sitting behind a vet too He struggled hard against TCU and Oklahoma. Very inconsistent
  8. I'd get a rookie and another vet and groom the youngin
  9. I guess the days of letting a QB develop for a year or two are gone? KC did the smart thing and let Mahomes sit for a year to be groomed
  10. Anyone watching the Wyoming game? Allen has 3 tds in the first quarter. One bullet on a deep slant, one right on the money while on the run and one deep rainbow down the field right in the wide receiver's arms. Showing his talent in front of scouts today He's making money today
  11. Just a small glimpse of his arm strength. His second TD showed his accuracy on the run. He needs some coaching no doubt but the talent is there. Hate blue fields
  12. I can't take the fans who have seen one game and look at his stats and then make a judgement seriously, sorry. No offence, I just think you need to watch a guy play a lot more to be able to form an opinion. I hate both of these uniforms haha
  13. ...because he has terrible talent in the system. You can't just look at the numbers. He's made some amazing plays and has a great arm. If coached up properly and put into the right situation, he can be great. None of the QBs are surefire. I'd rather take the one with the biggest talent potential and hope our coaches do their job I am a draft Junkie too. Do a 4 round draft every year haha. Love it so much. My friends think I'm insane but I think it's fun. I don't like CBS and that's just my opinion as well. For instance, they have Da'ron Payne at 50 something...that's absurd. Not reliable in my opinion.
  14. I think Allen's abilities are better suited for an NFL system than Rudolph's are. I don't like just looking at what the experts say but they actually agree with that line of thinking. I think Rudolph is a great college QB who will struggle in the NFL. http://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2018/story/_/id/21836489/2018-nfl-draft-quarterback-class-preview-background-scouting-reports-pro-fits
  15. It depends on the system man. It's the spread system that inflates his numbers. I recall a Brandon Weeden who dominated in Mike Gundy's system but didn't work out in the NFL. Inflated stats...that's the reason for the criticism
  16. Rudolph runs a true spread system where he doesn't take snaps under center and short passes turn into huge yardage based on his weapons ability to run after the catch. His numbers are extremely inflated. He's tough to evaluate because of that. The criticism is about the system he runs and the talent that inflates his numbers. Allen doesn't have anyone inflating his numbers. Watching the games, Rudolph has a lot of deficiencies, especially in his footwork. Allen doesn't dominate the production numbers no because he is playing with nothing. Makes it tough to evaluate as well. I just see a higher potential with him. He's had an off year and has his own deficiencies but I think they are more correctable than Rudolph's. I never said Allen was a top talent right now. I just think he's ahead of Rudolph. I think Allen should be taken somewhere in the middle of the first round. He has to go to the right situation that will allow him to sit and be groomed. Not a fan of Rudolph in the first round
  17. #5 Tyrod Taylor my man. If we go into another year with him I might have an aneurysm
  18. Did you watch a lot of the games? He showed some real promise. Watch more of his games and you'll see just how poor the talent is around him. He will obviously need to grow but don't just blindly look at stats
  19. Haha I agree with that
  20. Problem is, both Rosen and Darnold could go 1 and 2 to two QB needy teams in Cleveland and the Giants and Cousins isn't likely to sign here...then what
  21. I understand they can be good with great teams around them. However, I'd rather take the guy with higher potential. Most of those guys fail because they are thrown to the wolves right away. I stated that we should be patient and let the guy grow in a favorable situation for him.
  22. There aren't a lot of top first round type wide outs but there is plenty of depth in this class. I think Campell would be the perfect type of guy. He can give us some explosion on kick returns and can be used like a Percy Harvin player.
  23. Dalton/Smith haven't done squat in the playoffs even with good teams around them. I'd rather take a chance on Allen do everything you can to succeed and maybe he will turn into a Rothlisberger type. Rudolph isn't a sure thing either and if his ceiling is a slightly better Dalton, I'm still really unexcited about that.
  24. Oh I agree we need the position filled but I don't think we should spend more money there. I think we should draft one. We already have big money put into weapons on the offense in Benjamin, Clay and Mccoy. Draft another receiver to develop with whatever young QB is here
